I actually hate the fact that they removed the grinding from the new games. Low level pokémon get more experience than high-level pokémon against the same opponent, eventually leading to the game deciding what's the highest and lowest level for pokémon owned by the player in a certain area. No more destroying everything with one pokémon, or training those early useless pokémon without switching all the time or using an exp. share.
I'm not planning to play this game, I stopped caring about pokémon games after the pearl-generation(except silver remake). The story and pokémon design get worse with every release in my opinion. I don't have a 3ds either by the way.

What I find even more sad is you're *****ing about the one pokemon version that has made a rather huge leap for the series as a whole. You should've posted your little wah wah post in the gen V thread. You would've had some ground to stand on then. But hey, you're too busy researching when the next indie humble bundle and steam sales are coming out so you can create another thread that'll be ignored. Can't blame you for not having time to do a second of research about a game that you probably don't care about but had to arse yourself to make a wah wah post about.

Pokemon IS for grown ups. And IRL. Your girlfriend's playing it. Your coworkers are playing it. Your boss who gave the promotion to that one guy who brown nosed him harder than you did is playing it too. Even your great great ancestor's have been waiting for the release of gen 1.

My GF fell in love with Chespin when they revealed him and decided she'd pick her no matter what.
Then she saw her evolutions.....
LOL. She still picked him tho :p. I didn't buy the game for myself cause I don't have a stupid *** 3DS. I also shouldn't spend too much money on games lol.

So, second day into playing the game.
Realised Fennekin was the worst possible choice out of the 3. Froakie was the best choice. Nintendo threw a curve ball and and it hit me in the face. Turns out that while Fennekin's starting form is pretty cute and cool, it turns into a girl regardless of whether or not your Pokemon is actually male. At the same time, Froakie starts off with the lamest looking start but develops into the most badass water type I may have seen to date.
The awkward moment when you want to accept the Charmander from the Professor but you then realise you already chose Fennekin and got the Torchic, making it 3 fire-type starters in a row if I wanted them. In the end I settled with leaving Torchic in the PC box and choosing Squirtle instead, because Blastoise is still pretty cool.
Picked up the Jaw Fossil because T-Rex. Although, I must admit the Pokemon that comes out of the Sail Fossil is still pretty cool. Kind of like a prehistoric Milotic.
Just beat the 2nd Gym.

Farfetch'd
