I've been playing Shaman, and I quite like it a lot.
Shaman requires a lot of specific cards to be good.
Shaman's AOE for example is a rare (decks generally need AOE).
Rogue, Shaman, Priest and Warrior are probably classes you should be staying away from, because of rarity of their important cards.

Well, if you're going for buffs you're already making a critical mistake by running Faerie Dragons because they cannot be buffed.
Running Twilight Drake AND buffs on top of that is very, very weak to silence. Not to mention that the Drakes synergize poorly with Innervate (you spend a card to get out a card that benefits from not spending cards). You'll cry tears of blood when your 6/10 Twilight Drake gets Earth Shocked.
Overall the reason not to run Twilight Drake is that it's far more volatile than other drops in that range.
Deathwing CAN be very good, but more often than not he will simply sit in your hand doing nothing or even make you flat out lose the game. He will likely hurt you more than he will help you. He's far too easily countered by heavy removal like Tinkmaster Overspark and BGH(one copy of each is ran by most players above rank 5).
Lower ranks he might be able to win you games, but in higher ranks he will get countered in a heartbeat. He's a massive liability. Get rid of him.
Onyxia is a far more reliable way of gaining board control.
It's still worse than the Loot Hoarder.
It's a combo, which inherently makes it less reliable than a single card and you need to be mindful of the fact that you use two cards to make your Acolyte into a 3/5. Sure, he might draw you 2-3 cards, but you spent 5 mana and two cards to get him there.
Yea my problem is that I'm not used to this whole concept of mana as I'm an avid yugioh player.

Hmm, You got a point there. I have had problems with enemies swarming cards but the way my deck is set up, I can usually get out superpowerful Stormwind knights and such with bloodlust to kill my enemy in one turn. :p and yes I've been playing against real people.
Is that how you're supposed to do it? I literally have no idea how to actually play.

GMD, here's a relevant video that popped up literally two hours ago:

Eeh.. Yeah, you might wanna read up a bit. (Stormwind Knight is terrible btw, unless you mean the Champion, he's decent, but don't run more than 1 of him)
I posted a decent amount of tips for playing and a few decks for new players one or two pages back. You should have a look at them.

Not at all. They have a few good cards and combos, but they're certainly not OP.
Shadowmadness, Injured Blademaster and Auchenai Soulpriest+Circle of Healing are some of the main reasons to play Priests.
Those are three rares that are important for the class, making it suboptimal for newer players.

shaman you can run a pretty decent amount of stuff. The person you saw spamming murlocs was probably doing a murloc rush strat. But you don't have to run that with shaman or vice versa.
wish i could help you more, but i dont play shaman much :P im a pally/priest main

What cards would I need for a good Shaman deck? I saw one running some crazy murloc spam ****.
Druid and Warlock work better with Murloc decks. I'm pretty sure Shaman is a bad fit for such a deck.
You really want Lightning Storm and Feral Spirit. You really want them. In all Shaman decks.
Same with Fire Elemental, but that's a soulbound(free card).
Lightning Bolt, Earth Shock, Stormforged Axe and Unbound Elemental are also cards you'll want in most Shaman decks. They are common however, so they're fairly easy to get.

The general M.O. I adopted is keep myself safe though high health minions such as Twilight Drake and buff them up further with the spells which also grants them Taunt. Once late-game (9/10 mana) is reached I generally win due to the Legendaries. Deathwing currently acts as a last resort card.
