Very well made guide. Went 9/1/7 my first game, carried team, and made enemies surrender. Been using since than; mainly wins.

Hi, I just signed up to show my gratitude for such an amazing guide ! I've been looking for a guide like this. The way you explain every item in such detail is just awesome man. Can't wait to test this out.

Keep up the great work !

You know, it completely slipped my mind that his Tiger Stance buff carries over in some circumstances. That being said, I think I will edit this guide to change the boots. After more testing I think that you guys are right, the 20% on the boots is somewhat redundant.

As for ghost over ignite, something occurred to me that is another reason why I like Ghost over Ignite for Udyr. In some cases, you will chase an opponent who flashes. If you have flash you can Flash back but in some cases, like the Flash to Blazing Stampede stun, they will get away. Ghost allows you to run down people who Flash away, provided you use Blazing Stampede along with it.

You can activate tiger, get the proc off and switch to turtle as soon as the global cooldown is up and your tiger AS buff sticks for the full 5 seconds. You can essentially always have the AS buff up if you play it right which makes the 20% AS buff from Greaves really weak. But I'll stop, say we can agree to disagree and if it works for you then do it. And yeah Hydra is expensive. I only get it on Udyr if doing well and even then I usually just rush Tri Force instead so I get you there.

Yes, Flash is a nice gap closer but on a smaller map like Twisted Treeline, having a 10 seconds speed buff has simply proven more useful in the long run. Being able to combine it with Blazing Stampede and chase, run away, or move from the top of the map to the bottom to defend a turret or teammate is simply more useful. In my opinion.

And yes, I know that Wilding Claw has an attack speed buff, but I mentioned that Berserker's Greaves aren't just to augment that but Iron Mantle as well. Having that kind of speed with the level of life steal Sanguine Blade offers is just insane.

As for Ravenous Hydra, again, it's expensive and while the AoE procs lifesteal and helps with clearing, you will get by just fine with the cheaper option. I suppose it couldn't hurt to swap Sanguine Blade for Ravenous Hydra in the late game.

Just to be clear, this is a build that I played and experiment with over and over. The reasons for my items and spells are laid quite clear. I enjoy the synergy it provides. I recommend trying it.

^ yes obviously but flash provides an instant gap closer...that can not be kited. i can't even express how useful a flash bear stance stun can be. udyr's greatest weakness is kiting. ghost doesn't fix this. flash can. no?

^^This is very very true

One thing i have to question is this,
"... they add 20% attack speed. With 3 stacks of Monkey's Agility you will be at 50% increased attack speed with boots alone. The low cost also aids in rushing the Trinity Force faster. Some folks may be tempted to build Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads in the interest of tankiness, but I am here to tell you you really don't need armor or magic resistance until later in the game. Plus your runes and masteries will provide all the early game tankiness you will need."

You seem to forget that Wilding Claw gives you a 70% AS buff on top of Money's Agility. This makes Zerker Greaves a little redundant. Also, if you disregard resistances too much, especially on Udyr, you should get merced like nothing and if you don't the people you're playing against don't know what they're doing. Against good players you can't just walk up with no defenses but Iron Mantle and expect them to not destroy you.

Final big thing I see is your reasoning for not building Ravenous Hydra. Not saying you have to buy it but the flat LS is indeed 12%, however, the AoE damage for both the passive and active also proc lifesteal. In teamfights or clearing waves/jungle camps it ends up being much more than just 12% and it benefits from Turtle Stance's persistent effect. Just something to think on as another option if you're doing well.

I like Ghost over Flash mainly because Flash doesn't last long enough. What I mean by that is flash is great for a quick escape, but in the long run Udyr is a runner. Ghost improves movement speed for 10 seconds which, as you know, is a long time in this game. With 10 second of Ghost you have the chance to use Bear Stance several times to either chase down or run away from an opponent.

Ghost can also help augment Bear Stance if you're moving in for a gank. For instance, if I'm going in for a bottom lane gank from the middle of the map, I sometimes will pop Ghost and Bear Stance at the same time providing myself with a tremendous speed boost to run up on my prey as blinding speeds. Throughout the game you will notice this becomes more and more effective with boots, the Trinity Force speed buff, and maxed out Bear Stance.

Thanks for all the love guys, much appreciated.
