Hello guys and I'm still at the Kingdom of Bronzodia and I have a question.

Does champion counter work at bronze. Sometimes i look at champion counters and saw that the enemy's champion is counter to mine but I still win the lane. Any answers?
Did my comment helped you? +Rep would be appreciated

No. Counters do not work. Usually the one with more skill or the one who is playing Jax wins all the lanes.

Counters work at any level (less so in competitive because teams play around them and can swap lanes). Some champions have inherent advantages over others. Skill differential will always trump a counter though. If you're a better player than your opponent, you can win any matchup.

And If you know who can counter your champion and know why they can then you can aim to avoid those situations and as Psiguard said if you are better than your opponent the counterpick won't make any difference.

"Counter" is a pretty shakey term to use. Its definition is so loose that you can say anyone counters anyone with a wide enough skill gap. Instead you say X DOES WELL AGAINST Y under normal circumstances because A and B with the possiblity of C, D, and so on.

For example: Teemo does well against most Top Laners because most of the are Auto Attack based, Q can force several last hits to be missed and being a ranged champion he can harass safely.

It is this kind of thing that top level players think about and are aware of, making decisions based on the advantages and disadvantages they have

The term isn't really shakey per se. When we say 'counter' we simply mean that given an even skill matchup, what champion has an advantage over another. The thing to bear in mind is that counters mean nothing if you don't know how to abuse the advantage. The term is still pretty clear, but whether it applies given the skill context is the question.

Even a player that's more skilled can lose because of a disadvantageous pick. I've seen a Diamond V Riven lose to a Gold I Renekton.

Counters DEFINITELY work in Bronze. I can't say they work in higher elo, but if you're aggressive, they work in Bronze.

Basically MOBAFire.

Yes and no. It works, but it also doesn't. You really need to know the matchup to make it work. you could be counterpicked, but still win in lane due to them not knowing the lane/you know how to play against it. 95% of counters work in a sense of "if this, then that". Aatrox can get countered by Jax, cause Jax counters everyone and Aatrox is auto-attack based. But you can still win this lane by baiting out Jax's main counter tool: his e. Now Jax can't fight as well and Aatrox has an opening to fight. In short, if Jax e's, then Aatrox is ****ed. A smart Aatrox would bait out the e then fight Jax. A smart Jax wouldn't use his e unless he wants to fight.

tl;dr counters only work if you know what said counter is, and even then you need to know how to make it work and your enemy needs to not know how the counter works.

Not really, in order to actually counter someone you have to play the matchup right.

I've seen lots of people pick Jax to 'counter' a Tryn, only to have every Counterstrike baited out and die 3-4 times in lane phase. I've also used Tryn as a counterpick to Jax because I know how the lane works. In most situations champion knowledge is the deciding factor of who wins and loses, not just skill or champion kits.

Of course there are some hard, specific counterpicks which one champion has absolutely no chance of winning, i.e. picking Fiddles vs Vlad or Quinn vs Nasus.
