Wow some people are very hyper critical of builds. I like your Ali build so I gave it a +1. I just started experimenting with Ardent Censer, and its great! Its nice to see someone who has the guts to post a build on Mobafire with this item, and, of course, you get flamed for it when it is a interpretation of YOUR Ali build.

I liked Ardent Censer so much I started using it with Zekes Herald to give the whole team attack speed, life steal, and AD. In fact, I started looking for items to make Ali a walking AURA OF BUFFS. LotIS and Sunfire Cape round out the Aura build. Of course, builds are situational so most times you won't build the same thing every game, and most people know that.

My runes and masteries are different than yours as I am experimenting with gold/lvl (which work well but not good for early game) and going 21 in the utility tree.

Anyway, your guide was a good read and I especially like the fact that you noticed that even though Ali is a buff MF'er he skipped alot of leg days at the gym! LOL!!!!

Okay, let me tell you what I think the problems are:

1. Heal will probably be taken by your ADC already, and two heals isn't good anymore, you don't even mention Exhaust or Ignite.
2. You say your runes are to "better farming and pushing" are you the ADC? And you're a melee champion, if you expose yourself so much to hit a creep you will go down to half hp very easily. You can keep the Greater Quintessence of Ability Power but at least get Greater Mark of Armor and Greater Seal of Health, that is the edge that you want, tankiness for early dives along with your ult.
3. Ardent Censer shouldn't be a core item, it depends a lot on what champions you have in your team, a Graves or Miss Fortune for example, are casters, they don't depend so much on attack speed. But it works very good with attack speed reliant hyper carries like Kayle or Vayne.
4. Sunfire Aegis is not optimal for a support, it is only worth early game and early game you should focus on Mobility Boots, Sightstone and a tanky item that brings utility to your team.
5. Spirit Visage is another item that is not optimal for a core on a support, since it provides no utility for your team and is more situational. Locket of the Iron Solari is much better for a core as well as Randuin's Omen or Frozen Heart.
6. I donct see Alistar benefiting so much from Rylai's Crystal Scepter, he only has two spells that can apply the slow and these abilities already have a 1.5 seconds knock up + stun, which means, rylais makes no difference.
7. A matchups section would be nice.

If you understand that what I mentioned are real problems in your guide that you need to fix, I'll be happy to change my vote.

Your income will be much higher when you rush talisman of ascension & it has some nice utility.

Rushing Sightstone as a support is mandatory. Period. No arguing there.

Other than that your item choice is good and I can tell you already put a lot of effort into it.
So why not +1.

I recommend adding C2V (comment to vote) to prevent troll downvotes and people explaining why they upvoted/downvoted. (edit -> right hand upper side -> C2V [ ] (force comments))

If you could add some more pictures and a gameplay chapter that'd be great.

Best of luck,

Foxy

Hello there! I added C2V like you advised. About expanding this guide, I will see what I can do but the target was to create a short tutorial. Thank you for your help and as always for reading and upvoting Foxy!

Hi! I like your guide and greatfull to see someone Use coding in it. I don't understand why sightstone is a lategame option. It's one of the most important item on a support. I think you should put Sightstone on the early goals. And I don't understand why you don't upgrade your Ancient Coin? It provides a lot of options to chase and repositioning. Lastly I don't see why you would run ap quints and marks? They might make you deal more damage, but that is not the purpose as an tank support. I think you should change with some tanks runes instead. But great start! :)

Hi there! About Sightstone you are absolutely right, I ment something like, if you chose it to have it in your build you should get it earlier but it is optional, thank you for reminding this. About Ancient Coin and its evolution, you might be right but it is short buff, while Mobility Boots + Ardent Censer will give you 459 ms which is nicer and gives you more chances for taking position. Runes my dear friend are to give you an edge, better farming and pushing. While full tank rune path could be good if you would go with other items, I made this build to fit perfectly with every aspect. Thank you for reading LCS Builds!
