Hi everyone I am Tormentor, and this is my Alistar short guide! I will appreciate any and all feedback that you fellas and gals may provide. Alistar is my number one when choosing support champion. Most of the people can not appreciate him. That is why so often I can hear mocking like "I am Alistar, I think I am helping" towards the inexperienced summoners who have tried supporting with Alistar. But do not worry, I am here to steer you in the right direction! Alistar is not only support, it is also raging bull that cannot be stopped. Prepare for tons of lolz!

Pros

+ Best CC combo in the League + Agre/passive babysit + Crazy ultimate + Late game domination + Doing "Rambo Push" is fun + Easy to master

With Alistar you will be able to CC every teamfight securing dozens of kills for your team, running away with nearly no scratch at all. During laning phase your job is to position yourself behind the enemies and launching them in space with Pulverize, and delivering them under your ADC nouse with this sick Headbutt. And you thought that Malphite CC is OP. WRONG! Whats more babysiting also is easy thanks to your Triumphant Roar. It will provide your team with nice pushing factor and some extra survivability.

Alistar is highly item dependant so building him in accordance is inherent. His mana solution Forbidden Idol is cheap and early available leading to assuagement of his needs. But you will not omit your lack in team communication. Everything is possible only when good cooperation is present. If there is none, you are as good as doomed. Forlom Alistar is wasted potential. Combo miss and wasting ultimate is selfexplanatory. He also skipped way too many leg days!

// Most of the supports would go with some utility hibryd. But building Alistar is not about making him some crank whos running around and roaring. No. We are going to build full metal armour machine here. He must be as tanky as possible. Pushing him down the defence tree with some flashy offence additions is what we want. Your primary goal is to be the RAMBO of your team. That means you are going to initiate as much skirmish as you can. Which means taking tons and tons of damage.

• Greater Quintessence of Ability Power: Adding some spice to your abilities. Hot!
• Greater Mark of Ability Power: Some more chilli sos. Very spicy!
• Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: So this Katarina will not trun you off instantly.
• Greater Seal of Armor: Became the hard nut to crack. Survival!

You do not want to end up like most players running around with your Triumphant Roar maxed. It is useless and you will save no one with it. Focus on maxing your combo moves Pulverize and Headbutt. Pick your ultimate as fast as possible. Unbreakable Will will allow you to tower dive early with 70% incoming damage reduction. Thats wild!

Trample: Whenever your bull will use an ability his presence became painful! That means he will constantly damage every enemy targets near you, structures included. Very Toxic!

Pulverize: Your main distraction and crowd controll ability. Pocket version of Malphite's Unstoppable Force. Max it first and spam it on your pathetic opponents.

• Before Mobility Boots you may use Flash to get into range.
• Use it to interrupt channeled skills and turning off wolf pack attacks.
• Do not use it if you are positioned well, instead begin the combo with Headbutt.

Headbutt: Very basic stuff every bull loves. Smashing things with your horns. Deals damage and sending enemies far away. You can use it for closing gaps. You can use it to save your teamemates from chase. You must use it to deliver your opponent for your crew, securing the kill.

• Remember to use it for interruption.
• You can send people flying above walls.
• There are few who can resile your headbutt, be warry!

Triumphant Roar: Your healing ability. Main babysitting and pushing tool. While you will probably save no one with it, you will be able to reanimate them faster without the need for them to go back to the spawn.

• Use it to move through units to gain perfect position for launching your combo.
• The more things die around you the faster you can recast your roar.
• Do not invest in it early. One point will be enough till the late game.

Unbreakable Will: On cast your champion goes MUUUUU! and your opponents start to beg for mercy. Alistar becames unstopable for 7 (sick!) seconds. He can literally go solo vs 5 and run away laughing. But not before makeing a big brawl and sending enemies flying. Diving these turrets never been so easy!

• Before casting it take on a whole of CC for your team and rinse yourself off it with it.
• Always make sure the enemy is focusing you before casting it.
• With this cooldown you can spam it all the times. Do so.

It is your core and very cheap item. Perfect synergy with Triumphant Roar. Now you not only healing but also buffing with 25% attack speed! Every team mate around you will be energized! But there is even more! Ability Power, Cooldown Reduction, Mana Regeneration and Movement Speed enhancement! Crazy!

Another core item. Wearing this cape makes you meteor like hard and hot! Perfect synergy with Trample. Make them suffer by just standing near! And it is so cheap!

Last core! Another item for Triumphant Roar improvement. With this incredible armor even Wolverine will blush with shame! Whats more you will get some really nice repel for AP carries and alike. Really fancy stuff!

Buy it on spawn and keep it in your pocket till the moment you will need space for your last item. Brings happiness and wealth!

Well, that is most common movement pick for me and many others but feel free to choose what you prefer.

Help your mates by wearing these. If not feeling like being helpful in every aspect then you can go with Boots of Mobility - Homeguard.

No, it is not the real heart of this cutie Frozen. This is your late game item. Became the pain in the back for these ADCs. There is also Armor injection and Mana Pool enlargement. Did I mention another Cooldown Reduction?

I usually end up with this as mine last item choice. It facilitates your role as a tank and gives even more CC on your disposal.

When you need some more Magic Resistance for your team, and your stupid ADC is doing RAMBO before you.

When that Tryndamere or Master Yi got really over fed and snowballing.

If your team need you to take more balanced support/tank role. It is good to have nice vision on the battlefield. If you choose to include it, consider buying it early in the game.

This AP carry is really badass? Put on this veil and give him a lesson!

This is a short guide so I am sparing you the boring cheat chat about placing wards and other supporting things, I assume you know that. This guide is about bringing some light on Alistar itself. I do not know why but most of the summoner's fail building him. Maybe that is why Alistar gets only about 3% in popularity while Thresh or Leona are around 30% pick choice for support.
