Good luck with the improvements:) (And I don't mind using my coding, I'm glad people like it apparently:p)

A quick note on ability flashing

- Lee sin R-Flash: Kicking, then flashing will make the enemy fly the opposite way around and allows you to save some time or surprise kick them. This also works with E-Flash (instantly dammaging/slowing the opponent)

- Corki W-Flash (works like hecarim)

- Shen E-flash: Taunt & change the direction of your taunt

Why thank you Foxy! I do apologize for not responding sooner, work has been hell recently, and just haven't had the time to even approach my computer. But, allow me to respond to every point.

- Why thank you! I did try to cram in as much art as possible.

- Getting the Table of Contents to even look decent was a challenge, and, as you can see, it still needs some work.

- Invisible text.....why didn't I think of that?

- This section was difficult to get right as well. The ganking section went off without any problems, so, I tried transferring the coding template from there to the mid/late game section, but, the size of the paragraphs threw everything off. I'll continue to tweak that spot.

- Thank you for noticing the broken link, I shall fix it.

- I somewhat feel matchups are somewhat unnecessary. I did want this guide to focus more on how to jungle then how well Hecarim does in fight. Although, I do state that Hecarim is an awful duelist. His amount of AOE makes him a team player, and he thrives in the middle of a team fight. In 1v1 scenarios, he falls of ALOT, even if you were to build him more offensively.

- The summoners chapter lay out came from my Morde guide. I wanted some consistency in my guides.

- There is nothing wrong with starting red, for I have done it before, but it still is a little tricky and, in all honesty, slightly risky.

- I thought I added that in, but, guess not. I'll be sure to add it.

- I'll be sure to change those grammar mistakes.

- Alright, alright, I will certainly try the Lizard + IBG build.

- Yommu's on Hecarim.......that does sound scary. I'll be sure to add it.

- I will try the merc boots, and I did think of something. Zephyr gives tenacity, AND movement speed. So, would it be wise to sell the merc boots and get swifty boots once you have bought Zephyr?

- I still feel having a consistent speed in the middle of fight is far better then having a large amount speed out of combat, and then hardly any in a fight, especially for Hecarim. Granted, there are some champs that benefit ALOT from mobi boots, such as Udyr and support Morgana.

- I will have to try out the 6/21/3 mastery setup. In all honesty, I have always felt that my set up is odd, and I would get yelled at for having them! Haha!

- Yes, I copied your rune page set up. They looked really good, so, I wanted to add them in to my guide. I was going to ask....but.....um.............yeah.

- MS quints still ought to be your top choice, and this isn't just for Hecarim. There are plenty of other junglers that really need that extra boost of MS.

- Health seals.....I should of thought of that.

- Yes, scaling MR glyphs are better, but flat ones can still be an option.

- I DID NOT KNOW THIS!!!!! I've been playing Hecarim for how long, and I just now learn that you can use flash in the middle of his ultimate?!?!?!? Without a doubt I am adding this!

- Yeah.....probably should put that in.

- Thanks for the ability sequence! I was wanting to add something like that in, but never took the time to code it!

Don't want to spam / go off topic but I quickly want to react to this: a guide is supposed to have good information and decent readability, all further artwork / coding is just a nice pre but a guide with top notch artwork can still be a mediocre or even bad guide.

It's your review, but I just wanted to share my 2 cents.

Must say though, if the core build is highly sub-optimal I really wouldn't even get close to a 7.5 myself - thus I will also not reconsider my downvote for an "alternative build" because that still implies that it's not your main build which it should be - golem is just trash for Hecarim. Felt like I had to note that as you mentioned me in your review.

Why thank you :)

You're right about the build. In making an alternative build path I actually mean: go elder lizard & IBG and make a secondary cheat sheet with your current build.

I know how much effort it takes to code something like that, explaining the high grade. I'm also sure he'll adapt it to our input, resulting in a beautiful guide with the right build path.

Art

Great use of art! Even your banners differentiate based on all of his skins.

There are no real empty spaces which could be filled and it makes the guide look really good.

No complaints here.

Coding

Your coding is great. I do feel you could change the table of contents. I believe this is copied from GMD’s template. This is not a bad thing, but you lack a “quick guide”. You could change the whole thing if you can to make it more balanced and correct. (i.e. “general”, “Pre-game”, “in-game” & “advanced tactics” (or something like this)).

I would also even out the summoner spells. At the moment, Smite is way below Ghost & Heal is standing way above Ignite. Use transparent text to elevate your content.

Your "Gameplay: Mid-Late game" seems a bit messy. There's a huge wall of text I think you could alter somehow to make it look more breathable/readable.

Also, your “back to top” link is broken at the bottom of the guide.

Cheat Sheet

It looks fine. I do believe you have more than four offensive item choices. Elaborating on this below.

I would like to see an upgraded trinket in your full build example.

Chapters

You have all of the mandatory chapters. The only thing that’s missing is a matchup section and explanation on how to handle other junglers . This is optional but I know you want this guide to be as complete as possible.

Information

I would change the Summoner spells chapter a bit. Your only choices for the jungle are Smite + Ghost or Flash. You don’t need to talk about any of the other. You could add top lane summoner spells though and replace heal with Teleport.

For Gameplay - Jungling: Starting Blue Side & Red buff is not a bad thing at all. It makes sure you have your red buff, which will do more damage to the camps you’ll be clearing, and allows for an escape when counterjungled (the passive slow). You also have an extended blue buff this way, which is quite beneficial for a mana-hungry jungler. Also, ask for your top laner to ward your blue buff, or do it yourself at 1:35.

Gameplay: Top lane. I would add that you can go for a lanegank when your toplaner has pushed to the enemy’s turret (walk straight to the furthest brush). When the minions reset you can surprise him quite easily. Same for bot lane (but make sure you have a sweeper there).

Language

Your language is just fine. I didn't really search for errors but came across a few.
”Flash like” -> Flash-like
“Liable choice” -> viable choice

Item Choices

Your main items are OK. I do back-up Vynertje. I play Heacarim with Spirit of the Elder Lizard & Iceborn Gauntlet. This however does not mean your build doesn’t work.

Your Offensive items lack a synergetic monsteritem in my opinion. Youmuu's Ghostblade is very scary on Hecarim. Together with his Devastating Charge this horse is going to be feared even without his ultimate.

Your build now lacks damage. This works in a team ranked when you have enough damage champions already, but you'll have a harder time carrying in soloqueue.

You claim in the intro that Heca can be shut down easily by CC. This means that Mercury's Treads becomes a viable item because of the tenacity (depending on the enemy’s CC).
Also, Mobility Boots will increase the damage of your first attack. Worth mentioning.

Masteries

Taking the three trees is always dangerous. Personally I would have a page of 6-21-3 ( Fleet of Foot <3) for Hecarim and build a bit more offensive. You lose out on Runic Affinity , which is a shame, but maxing a tree is always the better choice.

Runes

I like how you visualized the runes. It somehow looks kind of familiar ;)

Quints of MS are great on Heca, but not an absolute must. Just thought I’d mention it. The alternative ones are ok.

Instead of adding scaling armor, you can add flat health seals and recommend mixing them with armor ones. (5 health 4 armor).

For Glyphs, I dislike flat the magic resist ones when jungling. Scaling ones outscale them when they become necessary. You can add that they’re viable for laning against an APC.

Ultimate Flash

|
When you flash while being in your ultimate’s animation, you will fear everything you’ve flashed to, but deal no damage. Your shadow horsemen will continue to follow the intial route and deal damage to everyone on their path as usual (but enemies in their path won’t be feared). Try it out in a custom game.

How is this useful?

1. You failed the direction of your ultimate (or they flash out) and you want to be on top of them to fear them anyway.

2. An enemy has 100 HP but so do you. To avoid being killed by the turret he’s recalling at, you can ultimate in and flash out instantly. The damage will be dealt and you’re still safe.

E+R Combo

|
I'm surprised to see you don't mention the E R combo anywhere. When ganking with your ultimate, Charge in with E, use your R OVER your target, knock them back with your E (away from their turret & into your ally). Easy, simple, and super-effective.

Grade:

7,5/10

Good Job!

You did an amazing job. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this guide and therefore you really deserve an upvote. The reason your grade is not higher than 7,5 is that your guide still needs some tweaking. I'll have to agree with Vynertje on all of his remarks, although I think he lacks some empathy (no offense). If you change this, (and add your current build in an alternative build path & and work on the masteries) I'm sure he will reconsider his vote. To become a nr. 1 guide you have no choice but to alter your build (it really is more effective, I play Heca from time to time). It's entirely up to you.

Just a small gift

Best of luck,

Just a quick thought here. After building the jungle item, I always go tri force in second because the gank potential is huge for him after first item. The I go spirit visage to scale off the aoe heal. I am curious how sunfire cape is beneficial in comparison. Being able to spam your q procs the spellblade all fight. It seems to me if you are going tank ganks with high teamwork dependence you are better off playing hard cc jungles like sej or naut. I agree with speed boots though, it gives you massive mobility with alacrity on it on top of a base attack damage perk from his passive. Core item for sure unless facing high ad comps or hard cc.

1) As cool as it sounds, you might want to realize that it's about playing your champion to the fullest of their potential, and in this case it's not full tank for your first 3 items. The item build I suggested is also backed up by pro players. However, keep in mind I'm not just copying them because I've got some (minor) experience on Heca as well and I always preferred this setup.

2) Afaik heca has always maxed W second. I had a look around though and noticed that a lot of pro players are divided on what to max second though. Some do W, some do E. I guess you've got to that up yourself.

3) You'll get more damage if you're being stunned less. You'll get the grand total of 4.5 AD at level 18 (!) from those boots, and you don't get anything else but the movespeed for 1k gold. Thats a waste.

4) Trinity Force is great, but assuming you go Lizard first (which you should) - you will only be able to get it if you're ******edly fed because you cannot just spend 4k gold on an offensive item. Also, the movespeed, attack speed and crit are just a luxury. Sheen is the most important thing which you can get from iceborn as well (not to forget the CDR and slow are incredibly good)

5) Dividing all your points over 3 trees is really sub-optimal because the best points in both offense and defense are deeper down in both and because it's all about combining the strengths of all the perks together. I'd recommend running 0/21/9 if you want that utility so badly.
Also yes runic affinity is great but it's not THAT major to sacrifice 9 points in utility .

- Going Golem tends to focus more towards surviving after diving then dealing damage. I play Hecarim as this uber fast tank that just can't be killed, focusing more on causing chaos then taking kills. And its not only Hecarim I play this way, I play most of my junglers as more of a supporting jungler then a carry jungler.

- After the recent buffs to Hecarim (I was working on this when they went through), maxing W second maybe a better choice. I'll have to try it though before changing it.

- I take swiftness boots because of the speed. Your damage scales off of your speed, so why not get something that gives you the most consistent speed in the game?

- I put Iceborn as a defensive item because it gives more defensive stats then Tri Force. Also, I prefer Tri Force over Iceborn on Hec due to everything it gives. He benefits off of every stat it gives, and it gives more then Iceborn, so I don't see why you wouldn't get it.

- I am thinking of changing the masteries, after I really wrapped my head around Enchanted Armor. I'll be sure to change that mastery, but for the rest of it, I feel that Hec benefits the most off of having points in every tree. Also, why wouldnt every jungler take 9 points in the utility tree in order to have Runic Affinity ? Its an awesome mastery to have!

Don't take things personal, the guide looks amazing but there's just too much core stuff I disagree with:

  • Golem over Lizard is very questionable, Lizard synergizes so well with Hecarims kit that I really don't know why'd ever go golem.
  • E max second over W, while I understand the reasoning W makes you a monster in teamfights because you'll spellvamp A LOT during the fights. I think that's better than some extra movespeed.
  • Mercs are arguably better than swifty boots due to golem no longer giving tenacity.
  • I'm somewhat surprised you put Iceborn under defensive options as I'd consider it hecarim's main offensive item, next to trinity force. My main build would be Spirit of the Elder Lizard -> Mercury's Treads -> Iceborn Gauntlet -> Spirit Visage. It's a pretty balanced build with a lot of damage and defense.
  • Masteries are just ...
You go ancient golem which gives bonus %hp and don't get Juggernaut to synergize with it? Why not just go 9/21 on a tanky jungler like Hecarim? The extra movement speed isn't THAT valuable. I think you're valuing some of the points waay too highly over the standard page setups.

Might add more as I read through the remainder of the written part of the guide.
