There are seriously a lot of police that just seem to take liberties and others that just don't seem all that qualified to be policemen, but to be honest, it can also be quite a thankless job. At the end of the day, police are kind of the intermediary between citizen and government, and they get hammered by both when things go sour.
Even so, there are definitely those that are just bang out of line.

Yes, it is certainly a controversial topic. But in my opinion I think that the PD should make this apart of their training, and if they already do, make it a lot more vigorous. One bad apple will spoil the bunch, when it comes down to social media.
The "**** the police!" chanting annoyed me greatly. No, don't **** the police. Not all police are like that.
The booing was well justified however and I think the person being arrested handled the entire thing pretty well all in all.

Excuse but when criminality increases at tremendous rates and the police are only there to stop legal and well justified demonstrations for democracy, economy and education, then I have every right to "**** the police".
Talking about my country but I am sure this represents others as well.

But the cops that are doing their job get far less publicity.. It's these kinds of events that end up on the news and in the media.
The bottom line is: don't generalize, at least not to that degree.
Rarely does this occur in Australia. Heck, even tasers are criticised here for being too cruel. Maybe its our system being too weak, but I'm fine with that. Law is still enforced, we're just not as trigger happy.

Anyway, yesterday, 17/11/2014 a group of police officers that are mainly responsible for controlling riots and demonstrations attempted to take some bottles of water from a kiosk. When the owner of the kiosk asked them to pay, they refused to do so and in the end they attacked him.
So what are your experiences with police violence in your country?
