Threats & Synergies
Olaf's early game is REALLY annoying for Fiddlesticks, his R can completely negate all your kit, so consider banning or playing safe against him.
Early game champ, a good Kindred player will invade your blue level 2 and even trying to chase you. In this case, consider a blue start. Counterjungling and denying stacks are the key to win against Kindred.
Amumu won't invade you on early game, so you'll be alright.
Zac's kinda annoying with his R and E who can cancel your W but on early game you'll be safe on your jungle. Late game Zac is annoying, i recommand you going through a Liandry's Torment
High damages, annoying R, can invade on early game.
High burst damages, even if his W is predictable, be careful and go for a Banshee.
Can bump you, his R can cancel your W and R channeling, and he got disgusting damages.
Most likely a skill matchup, avoid his W and you should be fine.
Annoying matchup because of his E and his R that can cancel your W and R channeling.
Skill matchup, avoid his E stun and you should be fine.
You can invade Karthus on early game, he's weaker than you're. Buy a stopwatch on early to protect yourself from his R.
Most likely a skill matchup. his Red form W is annoying for you. If you use your W on Kayn and he decide to ult you, the W will keep going !
Can invade you on early game, however before 6 he won't be able to CC you so you may have a chance.
If he's running to you with his R, E and Q him.
Annoying on the game because of his W, you should avoid fighting him on early game.
Huge early game damages, avoid fighting him alone.
One of the worst matchups for Fiddlesticks, avoid picking Fiddle if you see a Skarner on the enemy team.
Even matchup, be really careful about his E. Late game Udyr is considered as "Major" threat because of his tankiness.
Wukong's reworked ultimate is BORING, I mean, litteraly ! Always ban him on champ select.
Warwick is really annoying on early game, he's tanky, with good damages. Avoid 1v1 because you're gonna probably die.
Q bump is really appreciated, Cho'Gath will be a great toplaner to synergize with Fiddlesticks.
Malphite's R synergizes well with your ultimate.
Ahri's E is a good opportunity for Fiddlesticks to engage the enemy midlaner. She's even more interesting on late game.
Champion Build Guide
First of all, let me introduce myself, i'm Tchouvline, a french League of Legends player who fell in love for Fiddlesticks (i mean, really !).Before this rework, i used to play Fiddlesticks ALOT, now that he's reworked i'm even more enjoying him.
Playing the new Fiddlesticks on PBE was very funny and interesting, and I'm gonna try to give you the basics of The Ancient Fear so that you can scare EVERYONE in the Summoner's Rift.
So let's get started.

Runes section MAY be susceptible to change, as i'm looking for the optimal runes for Fiddlesticks.
Real name: Unknown.
Speciality: Fearing everyone.
Something has awoken in Runeterra. Something ancient. Something terrible. The ageless horror known as Fiddlesticks stalks the edges of mortal society, drawn to areas thick with paranoia where it feeds upon terrorized victims. Wielding a jagged scythe, the haggard, makeshift creature reaps fear itself, shattering the minds of those unlucky enough to survive in its wake. Beware the sounding of the crow, or the whispering of the shape that appears almost human… Fiddlesticks has returned.
+ Good sustain with Bountiful Harvest.
+ Fast jungle clear.
+ Engage potential with Crowstorm.
+ Easy to learn.
+ Great powerspike on level 6
Reworked Fiddlesticks is actually good. Fast jungle clear with Bountiful Harvest, more damages with Terrify's active, his passive mechanic ( A Harmless Scarecrow),
- Weak to CC.
- High CDs early.
- Weak before 6.
- Ultimate channeling time.
- No escape
On early game you'll probably struggle if you encounter early game champs like Lee Sin, Ekko or even Kindred. Playing smart until 6 is necessary, so farming your jungle is actually a TO-DO.
TERRIFY (Q): All enemy units are afflicted with Dread when Fiddlesticks is out of combat for 2.5 seconds and is unseen by enemy champions. Fiddlesticks next damaging ability against an enemy affected by Dread will fear them for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds. This effect can trigger against multiple enemies for area of effect abilities.
Fiddlesticks shrieks at the target enemy, dealing 6/7/8/9/10% (+2% per 100 Ability Power) of target's current health in magic damage and fearing them for a short duration. Terrify has a minimum damage threshold, and is capped at 400 against monsters.
Enemies can only be feared by Terrify's passive once every few seconds. Terrify's active damage and minimum damage threshold are doubled if its target has recently been feared, Feared enemies are slowed by 90%.
BOUNTIFUL HARVEST (W): Fiddlesticks tethers itself to all nearby enemies and channels for up to 2 seconds. While channeling, tethered enemies are revealed as it siphons their souls, dealing 12.5 / 20 / 27.5 / 35 / 42.5 (+8.25% of ability power) in magic damage to them every 0.25 seconds, with the last tick dealing additional magic damage for a total of 12.5 / 20 / 27.5 / 35 / 42.5 (+8.25% of ability power) (+12 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 16% of target's missing health). Total damage is reduced to 40% against minions.
Fiddlesticks heals himself for 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% of the pre-mitigation damage dealt, reduced to 15% against minions.
If all targets break their tethers by moving out of range, the ability ends immediately. If the ability is fully channeled or all targets are slain, 60% of the remaining cooldown is refunded.
/!\ I discovered that, with your W, you can spot invisible ennemies (like Teemo or Shaco) or even unseen ennemies who wait in a bush /!\
REAP (E): Fiddlesticks swings with its scythe in a crescent-shaped area on the target location, dealing 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+50% of ability power) magic damage and slowing enemies hit for 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% for 1.25 seconds.
Enemies hit in the center of the area are also silenced for 1.25 seconds.
CROWSTORM (R): After channeling for 1.5 seconds, Fiddlesticks blinks to the target location with a murder of crows flying wildly around it for 5 seconds, dealing 31.25 / 56.25 / 81.25 (+11.25% of ability power) magic damage to nearby enemies every 0.25 seconds for a total of 625 / 1125 / 1625 (+225% of ability power) magic damage.
/!\ If your Q's passive is up, EVERY enemy champion hit by your ultimate will be feared /!\
Domination and Inspiration
Dark Harvest is, at the moment, the best primary rune for Fiddlesticks, stacking through the game and then having a good one-shot possibility, which is, actually, the rune's purpose.
Cheap Shot's bonus true damages on impaired enemies will easily proc, thanks to your new kit. You can use Sudden Impact too, but this rune's gonna start being efficient at level 6 only, not before.
Pretty obvious rune, nothing else to say about it other than : Bonus AP on every takedown for a maximum of 10, and then bonus AP after 10 takedowns.
As a jungler, Fiddlesticks mostly needs his Crowstorm to gank (or even for teamfights), that's why picking Ultimate Hunter is a great option, with the reduced cooldown on your ultimate !
You can use Ingenious Hunter if you want to synergize with Zhonya's Hourglass and A Harmless Scarecrow and having them more often.
Since we miss the old Fiddlesticks's passive, Magical Footwear is a pretty good choice on the reworked Fiddlesticks, this rune will give you free boots and 10 bonus MS.
Approach Velocity is useful when you gank, because you'll be able to get closer to your ennemies, and chase them efficiently.
Basic jungler item for Fiddlesticks. AP, CD reduction, and a smite that will slow the target. This can be replaced on late game by any AP items mentioned below, but don't forget that there's always a risk by doing so, it's up to you.
When Fiddlesticks engages, he will be the target of many opponents, including champions and turrets. Zhonya's Hourglass is a must have item, the perfect one when you want to engage and deal alot of damages to the enemy team, without taking too much.
The third item that you must have in your core build. The Sorcerer's Shoes provide to Fiddlesticks more MS and Magic Penetration, which will be useful to chase your opponents.
Rabadon's Deathcap is a reeeeally good item, which provides 120AP and a 40% increased AP, which is powerful. This can be your 4th item if you're fed and you want to confirm your advantage on your opponents.
If not, you can buy it as 5th or 6th item.
Encountering tanks is boring, we all know that, BUT there is an item you must buy against them, the Liandry's Torment ! A great passive that will boost your damages against tanks and squishies.
If you're looking for a 4th item, here it is. The Morellonomicon will give you AP, Health, Magic Penetration, and a great anti-heal passive. I usually buy this as 4th item for Fiddlesticks.
If Fiddlesticks encounter high MR champions, go for a Void Staff. 40% of the enemy's Magic Resistance will be ignored (before Magic Penetration), which will counter them ! Sorcerer's Shoes, combined with Morellonomicon and Void Staff can litteraly rip off the life of your ennemies, even if they're tanky.
Even if Fiddlesticks fears and silence everyone, his strength also is a weakness.. It's a squishy champion, and a single CC can give the opportunity to the enemy team to kill you. That's why, with a lot of CC champions, i buy Banshee's Veil.
You should also build a Banshee vs AP champs, even if they're not fed.
Useful for your teammates, the Rylai's Crystal Scepter, combined with Crowstorm, will be able to slow the entire enemy team, increasing your engage potential. Everyone will appreciate a Health and high AP boost is the icing on the cake !
In some rare cases, only if you're overfed and you wanna litteraly 1v5 a squishy enemy team, Spellbinder will be game breaker. His active ability can give you up to 50% decaying movement speed and 80 AP boost for 4 seconds. Combined with Crowstorm, the enemy team doesn't even have a chance against you.
In late game, when you have your 6 items, you'll need to have a 50AP boost for few minutes. Pretty basic but really efficient on late game !
Lots of players often forget it, but you're reading my guide, so you will not forget it !
Back after the Rift Scuttler, or after if you're ganking.
