Hello! My name's DARKSTARR, and I'm a level 7 Yuumi main. I've been playing Yuumi ever since she's came out, and I've been having fun with her since! Yuumi is a unique champion, and quite difficult to play correctly. Yuumi doesn't seem hard to the outside eye (there are many jokes about not having to do anything while playing Yuumi, and that's very untrue), she's hard to play in different ways that haven't been exploited by Riot before (Riot talks about this in their new Ask Riot). This guide is to help you explore the ins and outs of the new difficulties of Yuumi.

There are a lot of teams a Yuumi can play on, but the best is a team that has a balance between tanks and squishes. You should try to avoid a team of full tanks, since your heal won't be strong enough until late game, and you should avoid a team full of marksmen and mages, since you won't be able to heal quickly enough. There are quite a lot of good synergies with Yuumi, and it's hard to name them all, but she essentially has good synergy with champs that can root or slow, or that benefit from roots and slows. |

For your items, it's really important for you to build mana regeneration since the 10.13 update. The first item for you to buy is a Spellthief's Edge and one Health Potion. You will only need one since you're not going to be taking a lot of damage in the early game. Next, you should build up Athene's Unholy Grail, and then buy either Shurelya's Battlesong or Mejai's Soulstealer. After that, you should buy Ardent Censer, Redemption, and Mikael's Blessing. No boots are needed since you'll be on a champion for most of middle to late game. If you're struggling with keeping your mana up high enough, I would say that you should buy Shurelya's Battlesong, because it grants you mana regen and +10% heal and shield power. But, if your K/D/A is overwhelmingly positive, you should buy Mejai's Soulstealer, because of its added Ability Power from assists and kills.
