Hello SIRGRC! I was notified that I had received a request! I can definitely be of assistance, everyone has to have a desire to battle the competition with guides to do better with the content that they can provide. I'll try my best to help with what you have currently to offer your readers.

I noticed you have Grasp as the "Go To" this is incorrect for Gwen. Gwen is a ANTI-TANK champion with tons of sustain in her kit, CONQUEROR benefits her by granting her even more damage and sustain. The "Go to" build.

YOUR ITEM SETS ARE KINDA MESSY

I highly recommend trying to tidy this section up while also removing the "Read items below" parts and focusing more on short to the point information. This section is mostly for people who don't want to read.

So you should be giving basic information that will help with people asking the basic of questions.

Something like "Why Banshee's?", instead of "read the guide 4head" just give a basic, "Counter CC, AP".

I highly recommend to give a little bit more for some of these match-ups. "Good luck!" is relatively useless to a reader. Talk about the champions a little more in depth. Fiora? What is a vital? How do I avoid it? Simple things.

One thing that is missing from your guide is the champion in question Gwen and he abilities and showcasing them in their own section. I would highly recommend implementing something like this.

I'm going to be quite blunt and honest with you. Your structure is a disaster. Everything is all over the place. I would highly recommend you properly code things to be symmetrical and aligned with images / text.

HOW YOU COULD BE CODING THINGS
Code:
[columns][nextcol width=100][nextcol width=200] [icon=conditioning size=70] [color=#00ff00]+[/color] High mobility. [color=#00ff00]+[/color] Low Cooldowns. [color=#00ff00]+[/color] Great splitpusher. [color=#00ff00]+[/color] Strong VS Range. [nextcol width=400] [icon=Space Groove Gwen size=300] [nextcol width=50] [nextcol width=250] [icon=Cheap Shot size=70] [color=red]-[/color] Weak VS Melee fighters. [color=red]-[/color] Poor scaling for late. [color=red]-[/color] Isn't a good Teamfighter. [color=red]-[/color] Low mana pool. [nextcol width=50] [/columns]
This is a reoccurring thing throughout the entire guide. The use of incorrect coding like:

example

One thing you did do well would be your top runes section, but once again ruined it with just too many massive icons, and massive text. The text here is not needed. We can simply hover over the rune / items to see what tree or item it is called. This simply serves are filler which is ugly so definitely consider removing them.

Runes

The next section you have below runes shows off the Rune options, but once again improper use of code causes everything to be a jumbled and uneven mess. Come to this code and learn how to properly space text and imagery with Tables/Columns. I recommend not using Columns too much and just using text instead.

I want to point out that at each stage of your guide, it's all inconsistent with the rest. I really like your "What to Take When" section because it is neat, tidy and could also be improved by making the text work well with proper sizing. But comparing this with the rest, you can clearly see massive size differences and messy code.

Your change log is something that shouldn't take up a page. Put it in a spoiler.
Code:
[spoiler=CHANGE-LOG] Updates go here.[/spoiler]
Also, the Zalgo text panel at the bottom serves zero purpose, it shouldn't be on the guide.

Despite there being a lot of grammatical errors here and there...

You have the basis of a guide down, but if you want to push your guide even further and prevent downvotes, rather get more upvotes. Try reaching out to other parts of the guide with new information, visuals, and style which can all be accomplished through helpful guides on this site by Katasandra, JhoiJhoi and others.

I want to start by saying thank you for looking at my guide and giving me some feedback. This is not supposed to be seen as me critiquing your review but more of me unsure of what to fix, or how to fix, what is in this response. Next, English has never been my strongest subject so I would have been surprised if there were no grammar errors. So, whatever they are I have no idea what they are or where they are. Finally, all the questions and comments should be in the order of your review.

To begin, I have been very unlucky when it comes to stacking Conqueror, so I have been taking Grasp and have been getting much better results with it. I am aware of the multiples of people who swear by taking Conqueror but if it does not work for me, I am certain it won’t work for others. So, would it be better to change the title from “the Go To” to “My Go To?” Also, did you have more to say? The last sentence before showing a picture of the item sets was just “The ‘Go To’ build.”

When it comes to the items, what did you mean by tidy it up? Did you mean there are too many items sets or possibly that I have too many group sets? I am truly unsure on what you would like me to work on here. Also, do I have "read the guide 4head" in here? I thought I put that in my Voli guide but removed it.

For Threats, I have not played against a lot of champions in season 11 especially not with Gwen either. Would it be best just to remove them if I am unsure about matchups or try and explain everything the best I can anyways? I did add to Fiora, but it is one thing to just say “Good luck” and nothing more and to say “Good luck” after explaining a little bit. I do understand what you are saying though it this was not me trying to be “Well actually…”

When you are talking about showcasing Gwen’s abilities, at the end of “Champion Match-up Information” I do have a section called “Ability Breakdown,” were you referring to that or something else?

I am unsure how to fix any coding disasters because most of the coding used has been copy and pasted from Guiding Guides such as jhoijhoi's Making a Guide. Trust me, I have been messing with the coding more than I have been working on the actual guide. You talk about how I am using incorrect coding, which is fine. The way I am looking at it, or at least from the example you gave to me, it seems more that you just do not like the look of it. I am happy to fix it, however, could you show me how to fix the spacing on it my code for it is here:

Summoner Spell Icon Code

I know what you mean by massive text, I am assuming it is “Resolve, With Everfrost, and With Riftmaker,” but I am a little confused by what you mean by massive icons. If you are referring to the mythic items, I can remove those no problem however, I would like separation/explanation as to why I have two different secondaries rune sets. I am currently thinking about centering and editing the text to explain slightly more, but if you think it would be best to just remove both all together then I will do that then.

With Rune Options I am unsure what to do about it to make it look nicer. I originally did not have it centered, then I centered it, but now looking it over again I am going to uncenter it again. But it just seems off with either option. I could smoosh everything together, still having them separated with their trees, I just think it does not look as clean having Manaflow Band next to Arcane Comet and Phase Rush. If that is what needs to happen for it to look better, then that is what I will do.

I do see what you mean when you talked about how the guide was inconsistent when compared to each chapter’s sorting method. I don’t think it is going to change much though from how it is because each layout has its own pros and cons and it would be very difficult to have each section look the same and still give the same information as easily.

Once again, I would like to thank you for taking the time to review my guide and I am working on it as I send out this message. I was not sure where to ask this but at the end seems like the best spot for it rather than in the middle of it, would it be beneficial to change the title of my guide? I would not say it is a bad title however it may deter some people from reading it. Finally, when I get things updated and fixed, I am assuming I should be reapplying and not messaging you here, correct?

I have been very unlucky when it comes to stacking Conqueror.
Overall Gwen should be looking to get in with 4 (Q) snips, which would help proc and allow her to extend into a fight for an extended amount of time, so long as she can land her skills where they need to be hit. (Q) in the center, etc.

What did you mean by tidy it up?
It's a lot of items, some in groups, some not in groups. Take a look at MY item structure and you'll see what I'm trying to imply when I say "Tidy, it up." You don't have (4head) I just threw that in for dramatic effect, it's how it comes off when opened.
I was expecting some information, basic, simple. But was told to read the guide instead of giving a brief explanation.

I have not played against a lot of champions in season 11.
That's fine, and understandable. The meta is normally saturated with roughly 3-4 spammed champions and then the occasional off-meta champion that nobody really plays. But you'd wanna try to read up on each champions and get a feel for what they do. Example: Irelia hits her spike once she has BOTRK. Keep away from low minions and avoid her stun engage.

I do have a section called “Ability Breakdown,” were you referring to that or something else?
Correct. Video references, talking about combo's is one thing but showing them visually is on a whole different level. Like trying to explain how: If Gwen is VS a Teemo or Vayne and she is in her mist, she can pull the mist once if they enter her arena causing them to have relatively 0 ability to react because all attacks become immune and she becomes un-targetable.

Could you tell me how to be able to show code without it activating?
Code:
The code used is [code] to show code without activating it. Followed by the /code] to end it.

Trust me, I have been messing with the coding more than I have been working on the actual guide.
I'm not one to talk about Tables since those are ridiculously difficult to explain if you don't have the basic grasp of the code, but Columns are rather simple.

THIS IS A BASIC EXAMPLE

Each "nextcol" is a space in which you're leaving blank to PUSH over text. So if we wanted to fix the above code...
Code:
[columns] We will add a nextcol in here usually 15-30 [nextcol width=220] THIS We will add a nextcol in here usually 15-30 [nextcol width=220] IS We will add a nextcol in here usually 15-30 [nextcol width=220] A BASIC We will add a nextcol in here usually 15-30 [nextcol width=220] EXAMPLE [/columns]
THIS IS A BASIC EXAMPLE

I am a little confused by what you mean by massive icons
In general the maximum ideal sizes for large icons is size 70. The others are generally smaller 40-50.

Yours is roughly 80-90. Which isn't too much of an issue. It's more of what I am used to seeing and using myself that is being the factor here. I'd remove the big text or at the very least resize it to be smaller and not take up so much space here.

With Rune Options I am unsure what to do about it to make it look nicer.
This goes back to the talk about Columns and their nextcol widths. If you center a column it will center everything regardless of if there is enough to match the rest of your runes. So what you'd want to do is properly code with columns.
Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me!
Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me!
Code:
[columns][nextcol width=15] [nextcol width=200] [center][icon= Arcane Comet size=50][/center] Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! [nextcol width=200] [nextcol width=30] [nextcol width=200] [center][icon= Arcane Comet size=50][/center] Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! [/columns] [columns][nextcol width=15] [nextcol width=200] [center][icon= Arcane Comet size=50][/center] Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! [nextcol width=15] [nextcol width=200] [center][icon= Arcane Comet size=50][/center] Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! [nextcol width=15] [nextcol width=200] [center][icon= Arcane Comet size=50][/center] Oh hey. I'm an example, look at me! [/columns]
I will say that it would be wise to learn how the code works properly, because simply copying what I am providing you makes it difficult for you to fix issues since this is coded for my code which is limited to a 640 width because of the table that I use.

But generally... width=200 means that only 200 width of text will be shown before it breaks the paragraph or line of text and starts looking like this... from left to right we have different text, with Width=10, Width=100 & Width=220 see the difference?

oh no what is happening. The width is too small! This is better but still it's still too small! Ah... This is just the perfect width.

It would be very difficult to have each section look the same
But that's generally the idea. Once again take a look at my guide for Teemo. Consistency. Different sections talking about different things, video references, while all maintaining the same consistent structure. It's difficult, but that shows us and readers that you actually put effort into your guide, more so than slapping or copy pasted code here and there.

I would not say it is a bad title however it may deter some people from reading it
A guide is meant to help people climb, do well on a champion, etc.
I believe it would deter people, but this could also be said for people straight up lying: "TOP GUIDE TO CHALLENGER GWEN!"

Overall there are a lot of clickbait titles and lack of content, a simple title is better.

I am assuming I should be reapplying and not messaging you here, correct?

You can reapply if you want someone else, but generally I am the one who will get the message first, since I am only one-notification away and am generally never busy. So replying here would be the best option.

Why do you take 2 adaptive force instead of attack speed and an adaptive force? You did mention maxing your E first for the attack speed so why wouldn't you take the extra 10% in runes to increase your attack speed even more?

Also why do you take Overgrowth over Revitalize? I feel like adding on to Gwen's healing (that will scale with your damage) is better than her just getting a flat 3.5% maximum health.

SirGRC | June 1, 2021 4:32pm
It is because I max E first I don't take the bonus attack speed because I don't find it useful plus E only gets stronger with AP not with putting points into it so I take the double adaptive to make it as strong as possible.

The reason for Overgrowth over Revitalize is just that more health = a stronger demolish. I think that Revitalize is a very good rune for Gwen and I should probably recommend it more than Overgrowth but I think that it is a very nice rune for how much health it gives and when paired with Demolish it will shred towers.

Why do you build Rylai's? The only thing that can proc Rylai's is her Q and Ultimate (which already slows). I don't think Gwen needs the extra slow on her Q to be successful, but I would like to hear your opinion.
1
SirGRC | June 1, 2021 11:21am
I originally built Rylai's second because of the amount of health and AP it gives. You are correct in what it can proc but my reason for building it was for that reason. It gives her Q a slow and it makes her ult slow for more. Truth be told I need to reread items because I had no idea Demonic gave armor and magic resist I thought it gave less health and AP because it gave the DOT. I have not been building it as of recently but I do think it can be a good item for her because of the stats it gives.

TLDR: Stats, Q slow, R bigger slow. Just to be more annoying and having the health to be so.
1
PK Noob (7) | June 1, 2021 4:18pm
Rylais doesn't stack with Ultimate slow. Either its the Rylai slow or Ultimate slow. Since its 30%, Gwen's Ultimate is will overpower Rylais slow (40/50/60%) so its really only affecting Gwen's Q. Even though it doesn't increase the Ultimate slow having the Q slow actually does sound kind of useful. The health and AP power from it is actually pretty decent so I might try it out. Main reason for this reply though is just to tell you it only affects Q slow and not Ultimate.

Uh everything besides the small mana pool is actually the opposite. Gwen is an excellent team fighter, she stomps on melee champs because she can kite them around, and her abilities actually scale really well.
1
SirGRC | May 31, 2021 11:02am
I don't think she is the greatest team fighter because she offers no form of CC, other than her ult which is only a slow, and outside of her W she is very easily bursted. I would be willing to argue that she can dive the backline easily with her E and her true damage does allow her to fight the frontline, but even then she is just dueling. If that all makes sense.

She does and she doesn't when it comes to melee champions especially when you consider CC that the champion will have too. Sett, Jax, Shen, will all honestly stomp Gwen because you can't easily E out of their things.

I will admit she does scale very well and I should really switch that to weaker early game. Only her W and E scale "well" and that is because they don't get any stronger with level only with items.
1
PK Noob (7) | May 28, 2021 9:03pm
In my opinion, Darius and Reneketon are a minor threat at best. Gwen beats these champions so hard. Reneketon is more of a burst champion, and Gwen can easily survive his burst and beat him in an all-in. Darius is not even a threat at all. You can easily dodge his Q with your E and your slow from your Ultimate just makes it even harder for him to hit his Q and allows you to run him down. If Darius does win a teamfight and then proceed to beat you afterwards, that's purely your fault for letting him get that lead in the first place. Just my opinion though.
1
SirGRC | May 28, 2021 9:51pm
I will admit that the Darius one is very opinionated however it is less about him being a problem for me than it is for my team. I didn't say it in the guide but similarly with what I have said about Tryn, I have done well against a Darius in lane and then he gets a few kills in a teamfight and suddenly he is a monster that is hard to deal with.

Reneketon is high on the list because I know that he can be an early game bully that can shut down just about anybody. That said, I very rarely see Renekton so I cannot fairly judge him based on him vs Gwen I can only do it based upon my previous experiences against him.

I will admit that some of the threats are opinionated however they are opinionated for one reason or another. For example Quinn, I have never seen a good Quinn player. I am sure that there are some out there and they would curb stomp my butt if I played against them. But because that hasn't happened yet, she is very low on the threat list.

Thank you for the comment I really do appreciate it. If you want to keep going back and forth about threats or other things about my guide, I would love to talk about it!
