On todays guide we will be focusing on Vayne, a personal favorite of mine. Vayne in the current meta is an excellent pick if you are looking to hard carry. Domination

Vayne makes great use of Hail of Blades most players are still taking Press the Attack but I'm a very strong believer that Hail of Blades is better. The bonus attack speed you get provides amazing burst for short trades in lane. If you get 3 autos off and back out you almost always win the trades you take part of. Try to walk in, get three autos then walk out and rinse repeat. After doing this a couple times you have the opportunity to get a kill in lane.

Vayne is a champion that is very punishable in her laning faze. If you can survive lane though you are an absolute unkillable beast. This rune gives you much needed sustain in lane that allows you to survive and come back later stronger then anyone else on the rift.

This rune is a must, the bonus AD you get late game is just better then the other options on this part of the tree.

Vayne's punishable lane is strengthened by this rune, this rune also provides great sustain for the later stages of the game, consider always taking ravenous hunter when going Vayne

Precision

Presence of Mind: This rune is fantastic to get for teamfights later in the game. I'm a big fan of this rune on almost all ADC's. I believe its a must. You can also go for Triumph if you find you don't run into mana problems ever as Vayne

Legend: Bloodline provides you with much needed late game sustain. ADC's take incredibly high damage in season 11 so you need all the sustain you can get

SUMMONER SPELLS - FLASH: Flash: Is mandatory. It is valuable as a play making ability, chasing down opponents, kiting enemies, setting up plays etc… HEAL: Heal: Always a safe option, it provides great Movement for kiting, helps save teammates, helps save yourself.

Starting Items

Doran's Blade I’d say on Vayne, you practically always want to start Doran’s blade with 1 potion.

Doran's Shield These items aren’t bad if you are against a heavy poke lane. Some examples are Caitlyn and Zyra. Your range is really low, so high range poke champions can punish you very hard.

Core Build

There is one core build I like focusing on with Vayne, it provides great playmaking ability, fantastic sustain and amazing damage. Personally at this point and time I think going anything else isn’t ideal.

Kraken Slayer Kraken Slayer gives you incredibly high DPS when paired with silver bolts, this is a must buy

Berserker's Greaves Very gold efficient attack speed for cost.

Guinsoo's Rageblade This item provides you with amazing on double on-hit with Kraken Slayer and your silver bolts, also BOTRK for you will itemize this next!

Blade of the Ruined King Blade of the Ruined King provides great self peel, with its passive and amazing shred for tanks. It's also a great item that provides great lifesteal! A must buy on Vayne

Situational Items

Mercurial Scimitar Great against high burst comps, if you see a Zed or a Fizz definitely consider this item

Edge of Night This is a great item to build against heavy crowd control teams, if you see Leona, Ashe, Warwick and the likes build this

Maw of Malmortius This is actually a really great item on Vayne. Build this when the enemy team is stacking AP champs. The spell vamp and the CDR are very useful on Vayne as well.

As i've gone over many times in this guide, Vayne's early game is extremely punishable. Most players kind of disregard this and that's why they are bad at the champion. If you want to be making Gosu level plays make sure you understand how to survive early and out scale your opponents. Generally you want to pair yourself with an enchanter support, somebody who can shield, heal and keep you alive! This will be great for both laning phase and late game, where you are always a priority target for the enemy team.

In lane focus on last hitting and only trading when your opponent walks too far forward into your minion wave. If you are laning against a Tristana or any other ADC with a dash try to bait her Rocket Jump to a spot where you can easily Condemn her into a wall. This will allow you to get a kill early. If you're playing against a heavy poke comp focus on saving your tumble for when they try to poke you down with their abilities, and rely on your support to shield or heal the damage you can't escape from.

Once you complete your Kraken Slayer you can start looking for fights in lane to get snowballing. Try to bait out a spell from your opponents then hard engage on them with your ultimate and a Tumble. If you are positioned close to your tower you can easily chase your opponents down and get some kills. Don't engage if you are behind though! You'll just be cruising for a bruising if you do.

In the mid stages of the game you start getting really scary for the enemy team. This is where you can really start going ham in fights, but be patient. What separates the bad Vayne's from the good is their ability to save their Tumble for moments in the fight that they need to dodge out on a skill shot or ability. Don't tumble into your enemies for they can easily turn on you and one shot you. Save it and wait for a good moment to dodge out on their crowd control.

Once you get to the late game you have to be really bad at the champion to not just destroy the enemy team. You can practically kill anybody in 6 auto attacks at this stage of the game. Just make sure you are kiting and not front lining like some players do. Stay in the back, let your support shield and speed you up and simply kite until the enemies are forced to retreat, then you chase them down!

Personally I believe Vayne is the strongest ADC and is super abusable to climb elo if you get good at her. Its definitely worth the time and practice to try and do this!
