This is the only game where taking Fleet instead of Lethal Tempo is viable. Take second wind as well. She out trades you extremely hard and it's a rough lane in general for Yone. She can dodge your ult as well if you don't set up your Q, and she can W away when you E. As this guide is for midlane, if you plan on playing Yone just ban her.
Very hard to jump on because of her fears. Go for trades when her fear is down and you should be ok.
This one is a bit debatable, but I think this lane is very hard. Post 6 she is very hard to hit with your Q so setting up R is also extremely hard. Her ult makes it so she can play defensively or offensively against you, and her charm can make you extremely immobile. Try to avoid this lane if possible.
Run exhaust this game. He can one shot you through most points of the game, especially if he has Serpents Fang. Bait out his W's and you should be ok, but avoid this lane if possible.
Don't trade with him and just play to scale.
Play off of Syndra's mistakes and you'll be fine.
Once you have Shieldbow Ryze can't do anything to you. Play for your item spike.
Make sure you don't fight Rumble during his Overheat and you should be fine.
Zone her early and respect her level 3 power spike. Run boneplating here.
Play for scaling in this matchup. If you misplay once post 6 you are dead. She can out trade you early as well with her poison.
Start doran shield against him. Play to scale and don't fight until your item power spike.
Generally annoying to play against and hard to hit your abilities onto her. Play for scaling.
Take dorans shield if this is a rough matchup for you. Play to scale as she can easily outzone you, especially post 6. Don't try to fight 1v1.
Take unflinching and dorans shield. Play to scale.
Take dorans shield. After you get shieldbow he can't 1v1 you anymore.
Dodge her Q's and you'll be fine.
He can dodge most your abilities with his E. Care for his level 6 all in.
Very easy lane but her ult can mess you up late game or on ganks. Try to play around her ultimate cooldown.
Farm until you get Shieldbow and then you'll be fine.
Play for level 6. Skill matchup.
Play to scale and you'll be fine. 1v1s against Ekko can be sloppy due to his E so play it smart.
Play away from her daggers and you'll be fine.
Wait for him to W the wave then go on top of him. Super easy matchup and you can snowball hard here.
Dodge his E's and farm. After your power spike you should kill him pretty easily.
After level 3 he can't do anything to you. Snowball game.
Get QSS after Shieldbow and you will destroy him.
Play around his cage, easy lane.
After level 3 Ziggs is a sitting duck. Jump on him and he will die.
Dodge his poke and all in him. Post level 6 he can never fight you.

Champion Build Guide
Hello every, I'm Baird and welcome to my Yone guide. Yone is a great solo queue champion that can easily snowball. He has, in my opinion, a decently overloaded kit and completely destroy teams in solo queue. I'm currently Platinum 2 in Preseason 12 on my new account, peaking at Diamond 2 in Season 11. I stream on Twitch and post videos on YouTube so go check them out.
Yone is a champion that thrives off of mechanics and hardwork. The more that you play him, the better you get. He's a very rewarding champion and very fun to play. He's also very stylish and is 100% a montage creator if that is something you are looking for in a champion.
+ High carry potential
+ Can be flexed top lane
+ Has both physical and magic damage
+ Flasy champion
+ Low cooldowns due to attack speed
- Weak laning phase
- Is much weaker when ultimate is down
- Somewhat useless from behind
- Great for lower elo but difficult to use in higher elo
This text is copied from League of Legends, and goes in depth on Yone's abilitie. My own snippet will be at the bottom.
Passive : Yone doubles his total critical strike chance from all other sources, but his critical strikes deal only (57.5% + 6.3% to 31.5%) AD bonus physical damage. Additionally, every 1% critical strike chance in excess of 100% is converted into 0.4 bonus AD.
Yone's basic attacks alternate between using his Steel Sword and Azakana Sword on-attack. Yone begins attacking with his Steel Sword, and basic attacks with the Azakana Sword deal 50% AD physical damage and 50% AD magic damage.
Q: Range: 475
Yone thrusts his Steel Sword in the target direction, dealing 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+1.0 per attack damage) physical damage to enemies hit and applying on-hit and on-attack effects to the first enemy hit. Mortal Steel can critically strike for bonus physical damage. Successfully landing Mortal Steel grants Yone a Gathering Storm stack for 6 seconds.
While Yone has two stacks of Gathering Storm, Mortal Steel consumes the stacks to instead cause him to dash a fixed distance in the target direction and unleash a whirlwind travelling the same direction, both dealing the same damage and knocking up all enemies hit in their path for 0.75 seconds.
Mortal Steel's thrust is interrupted if Yone is affected by hard crowd control during the cast time but its cooldown is reset to 0.1 seconds.
W: Range: 600
Cooldown: 16 / 6
Yone cleaves with his Azakana Sword in the target direction, dealing 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+11 / 12 / 13 / 14 / 15% of target's maximum health) equal parts physical and magic damage to enemies hit in a cone. The total mixed damage has a minimum threshold of 40−410 against minions and a maximum threshold of 150−320 against monsters (depending on level).
Yone shields himself for 40−60 (+0.6 of attack damage) for 1.5 seconds if Spirit Cleave hits an enemy (depending on level), increased by 100% if it hits a champion and by 50% for each subsequent champion hit.
E: Range: 300
Cooldown: 22 / 19 / 16 / 13 / 10
Yone dashes a fixed distance in the target direction, gaining Spirit Form for 5 seconds as well as creating an untargetable clone that is sent the same distance behind the cast location, though not sending it through terrain. After a 0.5-second delay, Yone can recast Soul Unbound.
SPIRIT FORM: Yone resets Way of the Hunter, gains 10−30% bonus movement speed (depending on time active) and marks champions damaged with basic attacks or abilities. Yone stores 25 / 27.5 / 30 / 32.5 / 35% of the post-mitigation physical damage and magic damage he deals to each enemy champion.
RECAST: Yone cleanses himself from all crowd control (except disarm, nearsight, silence and slow), detonates the marks of champions to deal true damage equal to the stored amount, and dashes unstoppably back to his body. After the duration ends or upon dying, Soul Unbound will recast automatically. The recast cannot be used while Yone is immobilized, silenced, or grounded, despite being a cleanse.
Damage dealt by item effects, runes, summoner spells and buffs are not stored.
R: Range: 1000
Cooldown: 120 / 100 / 80
Yone winds up a forward strike, then blinks in the target direction. After 0.125 seconds, all enemies within a wide linear area are stunned for 0.15 seconds, then immediately dealt 200 / 400 / 600 (+0.8 of attack damage) equal parts physical and magic damage, and pulled towards Yone's blinking position and subsequently knocked up for 0.75 seconds.
Yone will attempt to blink a certain distance beyond the last enemy champion hit. If no enemy champions are hit, Yone will instead blink to maximum range.
Yone's abilities scale off of attack speed. Specifically, his Q and W. His Q is lowered in attack speed the more of it you have. This is why lethal tempo is so great on this champion, because his Q becomes lower cooldown the longer you fight. Yone's W also is faster depending on how much attack speed you have. This is why Yone is great in fights that take longer to play out. He also does mixed physical and magic damage thanks to his passive. This makes building defensively against Yone much harder.
Coming soon. Currently on vacation so I'm running low on time.
Thankyou for reading through this guide! I currently have some updates to make to it, so they will be coming soon. If you have any extra Yone questions, please feel free to stop by my stream or PM me on Mobafire!
