Whats up guys this is Armazi also known as Soviet Kogmaw and today im gonna show you how i reached Diamond 1 with over 65% winrate playing kogmaw ADC.

Kogmaw is a long range adc that is capable of insane amounts of DPS and is easily able to melt an entire team especially when paired with a lulu, but hes also very easy to kill with no real way to defend himself. His simple kit and straightforward playstyle makes him very easy to pickup for beginners.

Now theres 2 different builds that I use depending on what support I have, the first one is if you have a lulu. Lulu allows kogmaw to easily snowball and take over an entire game if not dealt with. This is my standard rune page when playing with a lulu or vs 2 or more melee champs in the enemy team. Because of his long range, kogmaw can easily proc lethal tempo and gain a huge DPS boost and combined with your W it allows you to melt anyone thats comes close. Presence of mind allows you to spam your ulti more to finish off kills or for early waveclear. Alacrity for more attack speed, kogmaw loves attackspeed. And to finish off the precision tree I usually go last stand if the matchup allows me to play aggressive but coup and cut down are also good options. For the second tree nimbus cloak gives you much needed mobility and celerity works well with enchanters that can speed you up. For the build, i always start dorans blade unless im against alot of poke then I go dorans shield, after that i always rush AS boots because the move and attackspeed are kogmaws best stats and its a very gold efficient item. For the mythic i usually go kraken but if im against alot of range or need mobility then I go galeforce. After that I go runaans into rageblade, if youre feeling fancy you can also get a rageknife before you finish runaans. After that its either bork for sustain or wits end depending on if enemy team has any magic damage threats. The last item is very situational and most games you wont even get full build but bloodthirster is generally good and guardian angel if youre against any assassins that can oneshot you.

If I dont have a lulu then this is the build I go. Start with dorans blade unless you are against alot of poke then go dorans shield. Rush AS boots for early powerspike and then go galeforce into phantom dancer. After that go navori quickblades for perma W and then infinity edge for even more damage. The last item is very situational and most games you wont even get full build but hurricane and bork are both good options here. This build is more expensive than the on-hit one and takes longer to come online but the perma W and extra mobility from PD is so important especially in higher elos.

Summoner spells are pretty straight forward, flash heal is standard and if you have lulu or any enchanter that takes heal then barrier or ghost are good options. And ofcourse if enemy team has easy to land CC then cleanse is good.

Kogmaw is a good pick when:
Your team can peel for you
Your team needs magic damage
You have a lulu
Enemy team has alot of tanks
Enemy team doesnt have alot of range or zoning

Tips & Tricks for playing kogmaw:
Use your abilities to proc lethal tempo from range before going in with W
Even tho kogmaw is known as a late game carry, do not underestimate his early game damage.
If you have a lulu you can easily punish someone for overextending like this:
Kogmaw can melt objectives like dragon and baron, if you have prio you can easily get early dragons and even baron as soon as it spawns
Dont forget to use attack move when playing kogmaw as it helps you kite alot. (I use Shift+RMB)
Kogmaws only way to defend himself is using his range, you outrange almost everyone with your W
If you have a lulu dont be scared to force fights and objectives when youre ahead, since together you can kill almost anyone in seconds.
