Introduction

This is 1kNeedle's H E A L S L U T Soraka guide. Hopefully you are at least Mastery 6, having many games under your belt with understanding of itemization and skills for Soraka.

Patch 8.12 nerfed Heal & Shield Power across the board.
We're going to ignore that with the power of , , and .

You do not use Astral Infusion just because your ADC took 5 auto attacks. We are not building tanky like that, and heals cost health. (Like, don't ADC's have Lifesteal? XD) Only when Athene's Unholy Grail is powered up, and when your ally is at low health do we heal them. We do this because we want to be efficient with Revitalize, which rides on our Heal & Shield Power. They may be nervous and curious as to why you're not healing, but a single Astral Infusion will nearly heal them to full health - they will be surprised. The enemy does not know you have this kind of power. Unbeknownst to your ADC, you're using your ADC as bait so your ADC can get a double kill. You will be in complete control of your ADC's health bar, after all.

Summoner Spells

+

This build is all about Heal & Shield Power, we're going to milk that for all it's worth. Heal & Shield Power items that we purchase will imbue our Summoner Spells with extra potency.

You have heard not to go double Heal with your ADC, as it "50% less effective on allies previously healed with another Summoner Spell within the last 35 seconds", we're not going to listen to them today because our heal numbers are going to be out of this world. Heal works perfectly with this build.

Nothing can save you like Barrier .
Exhaust will not be picked.

Skill Order

Starcall > Equinox > Equinox > Astral Infusion > Astral Infusion > Wish

Despite being a heal build, we do not get Astral Infusion until level 4. Tell your ADC. Use Heal if they need it, but use it before your ADC uses theirs.

Level 1. Spam Starcall, and auto-attack an enemy champion at least once per cast of Starcall.

Level 2.

Now that you have your silence and root 2-in-1, we're ready to counter an all-in from our opposing ADC & Support. Be prepared to use both summoner spells at any moment, this 3 minute - 4 minute mark in the game is a dangerous time no matter who you are. For champions that can dash away from Starcall, make sure to Equinox first -- since it's instant -- then Starcall the silenced champion, then weave at least one auto-attack.

Level 3. We're going to put a second skill into Equinox for extra damage, which is mainly used later on to charge our Athene's Unholy Grail a little bit easier.

Level 4. . Begin supplimentally healing.

Level 5.

Level 6. Of course at Lv.6

Now we max Astral Infusion, then Equinox, lastly Starcall.

Items

Start
Spellthief's Edge Health Potion Health Potion Stealth Ward

Itemization Priorities
Boots > Faerie Charm x2 > Amplifying Tome > Null-Magic Mantle

Chalice of Harmony > Fiendish Codex > Athene's Unholy Grail

When you have Athene's Unholy Grail, you're halfway there.
Then build

Mobility Boots > Forbidden Idol > Chalice of Harmony > Mikael's Blessing

Finally, item #3

Locket of the Iron Solari just to benefit from our massive Heal & Shield Power with Athene's Unholy Grail and Revitalize.

Build what you want after this, but know that you have the maximum amount of Heal & Shield Power because of the 15% from Mikael's Blessing, it does not make sense to buy lower Heal & Shield Power % items such as Redemption and Ardent Censer since Heal & Shield Power does not stack in an additive way. If you have Redemption and then you buy Mikael's Blessing, the 10% increase healing/shielding power will become 15% because Mikael's Blessing has the highest number.
