Champion Build Guide
Pikachu Beyblade Ayaya
Hello fellow ADCs!
As a low elo beginner ADC I do not have to explain, why I play JInx as a main, or why I love the scaling and damage output of Aphelios. But why Zeri? That is an unusual pick. Well, I could play Miss Fortune or Ezreal, but they do not feel strong during Spirit Blossom Season and the Year of Yuntal. I would also like to play more Xayah, but she has a hard time with that ultimate. And you need the right support champions or the bot lane feels over vs Jhin + Zyra/ Mel.
I have to say, I never really had the intention to become a Zeri main. It all comes down to happy accidents. Who is good vs Miss F? Who can clear waves vs Caitlyn+Lux? Who can dance face to face with Pyke and survive? Who can kill a Jinx? Who can jump over terrain, push side wave and still be there for dragon/ baron even without Teleport?
The one and only Pickachu Beyblade Ayaya - Zeri :)
Tips for Laning Phase:
- use two points in Q, 1 point in E, clear waves with E+Q+auto attack
- buy Statikk Shiv vs Caitlyn+Lux
- buy early Boots vs Pyke, Mel, Blitzcrank to get away quickly
- shoot the Laser over terrain, through turret or use the alcove to damage a minion wave or surprise a support champion who wanted to place/clear a ward
- use the Cut Down rune; if you go all in with E+Q+Auto Attack you want to delete the enemy HP bar starting with the first 2 seconds of the fight, then get out
- dash over terrain to get out
- use the E to fix spacing mistakes, Zeri gets out, where other ADCs would have been dead
Tips for mid and late game
- fix the wave states all over the map; zeri has enough speed with her E to get there, just like Miss F with her W
- practice the full all in Zeri engage in Practice Tool. If you activate her Ultimate you are surrounded by enemy champion. Every single Q and auto attack must be precise. You must know the target selection. In most cases take out the enemy ADC or Jungler than hide behind your Toplaner or Jungler and free hit as much as you can
- never ever go all in on the enemy Tank or Support Tank, this will only waist your damage and they will kill you. You want to blow up a Diana, Viego, Caitlyn, Jinx and make sure that the main source of enemy damage is gone before the fight really starts
- Zeri has short range, use practice tool to get a feeling for it and calculate in a ranked game, if your all in would be precise and deadly or a complete coinflip troll
- buy Guardian Angel when the enemy Nexus is somewhat open, I won games this way because they killed me on Nexus, I revived and then got the last 20-30% hp of the Nexus
- Zeri is like a living Aphelios Crescendum, you only got 1 chance to massacre the Baron Pit or Dragon Pit, so be ready and train your mouseclicks
- do not run into Champions like Mordekaiser or Darius, wait for your 3 or 4 items power spike, and even then, wait for a good team fight or a surprise skirmish were people forget about little Zeri being around
- practice side steps
- play Zeri like Akali, dance, dance, dance through all the champions on your screen and casually kill them one by one
Ban Vayne, Tristana, Smolder. Those champions can be dangerous for Zeri.
Play Zeri into Miss Fortune, Ezreal, Ashe, Varus, Jinx, Caitlyn etc. Champions that are slow and can not keep up with the Pikachu Beyblade later in the game.
Playing into Lucian/ Kalista is a 50/50 situation. Depends a lot on the Support champion and who gets the Dragons.
Personally, I strongly belief that more people should play Zeri in low elo. Yes, she does not have the Miss F Cheat Button Ultimate - but - she is so useful in so many surprising ways. The way Zeri moves over terrain or shoots her Laser gives angles and opportunities that are unique. No other ADC can do that.
Most importantly, I like Zeri's voice lines. She is such a genuine positive vibe and just wants to help people.
