Skill matchup, slightly favoring Darius. Honestly, building tank with grasp as a keystone is best.
Aatrox
Pretty easy lane. Ult him after he ults.
Ahri
Pretty annoying, can't really do a lot to her. Early just farm, Post 6 you can ult and kill her if she either misses charm or you have a pretty well-stacked shield.
Akali
Don't pick Morde into Akali. You'll struggle to farm early, you can't ult her, she kites you, she outroams you. Bad time.
Anivia
Early isn't bad, you might be able to kill her before 6. After 6, you can't really do anything. Usually not worth ulting, especially where she can wall you off.
Annie
Definitely annoying with the CC, but if you anticipate her burst you can pop your shield, and ult her after she ults to ignore her bear.
Aurelion Sol
Free lane, if you can't kill him before 6 (you likely can), you'll be able to the moment you ult him. Warn your team of roams
Azir
Skill matchup. Some major points to outplay, namely you can ult while he ults to ignore his wall if you either anticipate it and time the cast animation, or just ult after him. He'll poke you hard in lane, which fleet helps with. Spirit Visage could be a good buy.
Cassiopeia
Pretty tough, as she kites you extremely hard. Can usually kill her if you land E > Q into ult , but if not she just runs you down.
Cho'Gath
Dominates you in the early laning phase, after 6, if you have nashor's and stack conqueror before you ult, you should win.
If you're about to be eaten, try E'ing behind yourself to push him away from you.
Dr. Mundo
B a d. You'll never kill him after 6. He just stands still and facetanks your entire kit. Very bad matchup, even with conqueror and ignite/other grievous wounds.
Ekko
Pretty easy matchup, he'll shove you in early but you'll win most trades. After 6 he's hard to kill and usually not worth ulting, as he'll kite you / ult, but it's not a HARD lane, moreso just a boring one.
Fiora
Very bad. Fiora is a good ban. Not a whole lot of tips I have to beat a Fiora unless they're a horrible player.
Galio
Run Conqueror (exception for mid) You out waveclear with cdr, outtrade, just don't let him roam.
Gangplank
He won't kill you early, but he'll use you to farm grasp/klepto. You'll probably never kill him unless he W's before you ult him for some reason, or with some early ignite cheese. He outscales and outfarms.
Garen
Even with conqueror, he outdamages you without your ult. If you have ult; you'll generally win. If you don't; you don't.
Illaoi
Annoying to lane against pre-6, but once you're 6, she's food. Ult after she ults. Ignore her kit. Kill her.
Gnar
Ranged Poke-Kite Tank that does max health magic damage. Hard without ult.
Irelia
Skill matchup. You can ult to ignore her ult, also removes minions for her to dash to. Very difficult without ult, unless you poke her down and don't let her free sustain with Q.
Jax
Pretty rough. Somewhat of a skill matchup, but definitely Jax favored. You can E him away if he jumps on you with his E primed, and ult him after he ults. If he rushes wits end, rush morello.
Jayce
Gonna be annoying before 6, after 6 you can just ult him and keep killing him.
Kayle
You're a pretty safe lane for her to scale. She gets hit by your E she'll just W away. Usually not worth ulting her unless she's pushed into YOUR tower.
Kennen
Like Jayce, except less annoying early. Your 6 is better.
Kled
Careful of his level 2, as it is extremely strong. You outscale him, but you'll need zhonya's as he does max health physical damage, and will shred you otherwise.
Lissandra
Boring boring boring. Neither of you will ever kill eachother. Just farm
Malphite
AP and tank Malphite are both incredibly boring to lane against but shouldn't pose much of a risk to you.
Not worth ulting until after he ults, as he can use his to dodge yours.
Maokai
You just win at every stage in the game. Morello and you're fine
Nasus
You smash him in lane. Only tip (helps in lane too), mostly for late game is to ult him after he ults. You steal his extra health / armor / mr
Olaf
Absolutely need ignite/morello. VERY hard matchup, gets harder after 6. Poke and dodge axes, if he's low you can ignite and kill and snowball. If you don't snowball, he'll faceroll you at 6.
Ornn
Boring, risky to ult him if he's smart and W's your ult. He shouldn't ever kill you.
Pantheon
He excels at short trades; going bone plating is helpful and following him down autoing after his combo. After you're 6 shouldn't have any issues.
Poppy
Hard to kill, but shouldn't kill you.
Renekton
Has a shield break; has a trade with little counterplay. VERY hard matchup. Only tip is to ult him after he ults, if you're not already dead.
Ashe
Kites you hard, can easily kill her solo post-6. Rough early laning
Caitlyn
Outranges the hell out of you and will bully you hardcore in lane. Can kill after 6
Camille
Hard lane, just try to farm until 6 and you should win. She chunks you early
Draven
Big threat early, but depending on your support, axe mechanic makes landing your E surefire and pretty easy to combo down from there.
Ezreal
Can't really ever do anything. Can't land E, will probably never be in range to ult, and even if you do you may get kited.
Jhin
Easy to land E during his W/Ult, doesn't have enough DPS early to kill you. You'll never lose post-6 unless he spirals out of control.
Jinx
Annoying amount of CC, but very squishy if you can get on top of her.
Kai'Sa
Her E makes landing yours very difficult, and among other things, Kai'sa is just too strong. Pretty hard, but you should win 1v1 with ult.
Kalista
Impossible to land Q's E.
Katarina
Extremely easy lane.
Kog'Maw
Pretty annoying when his W is up, just play back and wait for it to go down.
Will start being a problem in the late game if you don't end early, as you probably can't solo in ult later.
Lucian
Careful for his powerful level 2, after that pretty simple as his range isn't enormous and fairly limited mobility. Use your E to screw up his ult.
Miss Fortune
Annoying pre-6, after 6 free kills with ult. Your E stops her ult.
Quinn
Very hard before 6. Just play safe and farm, after 6 should be free kills. Warn team about roams.
Riven
Broken champion. Only tip; ult her after she ults. You get extra AD (if you're not already dead)
Rumble
You should be able to snowball starting at level 2+. Just don't stand in his ult.
Ryze
Very difficult, not enough kill pressure early for either of you to kill eachother, but he'll be hitting like a truck inside your minions , or single targeted onto you. Your ult probably won't help either, as then you're his only target to rapid fire his spells on.
Diana
Easy lane. You're too tanky to burst and you out dps
LeBlanc
Extremely annoying, and you can't really retaliate in trades. Just farm and try to survive. E her W instead of her in attempt to bait.
Shen
Very easy. You outdamage, get free farm, and can stop his ult with your E or ult. Careful around his turret of taunt.
Singed
Annoying before level 6, but after 6 it is genuinely a free kill off CD. Don't chase if he proxies, just tank the lane.
Sion
Can stop his Q with your E, you shred him with your % health damage. Just don't ult him when he ults.
Swain
Pretty easy if you can dodge his E. Ignite him when he ults and ult him after he ults.
Sylas
Pretty even lane. Try to stay at your ability range so he can't W you, and fight in minions to avoid his knockup. When he steals your ult, ult after he ults.
Syndra
Hard to get in range without being stunned, but if you land an E just Q into ult and W her ult.
Talon
Don't get poked down at level 1 and you'll survive his level 2, BUT RESPECT IT. If he doesn't kill you at level 2, you should have a pretty free lane. Just shove the wave to prevent him from roaming.
Teemo
Depends on the Teemo. If they're smart and Q you after you pull them with your E, you'll hard lose. If they waste Q and you're health enough to E > Q auto run them down; it's pretty free
Tristana
One of the harder ADCs, as her level 6 is pretty survivable against your ult, and she bursts hard.
Sivir
If she E's your E, ult her. If she doesn't don't ult.
Trundle

Ult after he ults; you'll get more AD and reduce his. Use your E to throw him back.
Twisted Fate
Free kills once you're 6, doesnt bully you in lane much.
Twitch
W slow is pretty annoying, free kills when you ult / hit with E

Kind of a toss-up. Very snowbally. Play safe until you get CDR, and just spam harass with your Q.
Varus
Grievous wounds, a slow, a root. Pretty annoying, but squishy.
Vayne
Permakite + max health true damage + stealth. Very very hard matchup unless the player is bad. Don't even bother ulting if you don't think they're bad.
Veigar
Usually can't kill you if you can dodge the cage, but sets up ganks very well. But you can ult either him or the jungler to ignore the cage.
Vel'Koz
Free kills if you land anything. Annoying poke. Back off if hit with abilities to let his passive go away
Viktor
Ult after his ult or his W for a much easier time
Vladimir
Really a toss up if the Vlad is decent. Don't ult if his W is up
Xerath
Horribly outranges you, SHOULD be a free kill if you ever land ult though, and your E can stop his ult if he uses it IN combat
Yasuo
Once you get some CDR it's pretty free.
Yorick
You HAVE to ult after he ults and uses his cage. Do not fight him early or if his maiden is up and you don't have ult.
Zed
Start cloth armor for free farm. Just play pretty passively and feel free to rush Zhonyas if you want to be aggressive. Run exhaust.
Ziggs
Genuinely can't do anything.

Depends on Zoe's RNG. If she gets hella sums/ actives, you lose. If she doesn't, you're good
Thresh
Very good support for ADC Morde. Provides CC, peel, long range escapes, and can typically survive lane when you ult.

Very similar to Thresh, just without the long range escape. Better for kills.
Veigar
Trapped in cage = easy E pull into stun.
Yuumi
Her slow makes landing your Q/E very easy, and her sustain is very useful early.

I'm Shapiro on NA, and have been a Mordekaiser one-trick since I started playing League in early 2018. I also greatly love experimental off-meta builds. My most cherished being Tank Jhin top, and AP Skarner Mid/top.
Mordekaiser's early laning is pretty weak. With long cooldowns and mediocre base stats, you lose most matchups before 6.
Pre 6 focus on farming, throwing in E>Q harass onto the enemy laner. If they ever are around half health and you're pretty health, you can try to E>Q ignite into a kill combo. (Depending on the matchup)
You're also very susceptible to ganks before 6, so you want to avoid pushing when possible. If you're being ganked, try E'ing behind yourself to push the jungler or your laner away from you if they're following close.
Laning after 6
After 6, your hard matchups shrink drastically. If you're against a champion with an ult that gives them stats (Nasus, Renekton, Singed, Trundle, Aatrox, Sylas (with your ult), etc) ult them only after they ult. If you're ahead, it can be worth to avoid ulting your laner in hopes to draw jungle attention, ult the jungler and kill both him and your laner.
