Dodge her abilities, run away from her ult should be no problem for someone who had played Riven before
Maokai
So Tanky and he will build ARMOR against you and new MAKOI's passive heals so much that its hard to keep up. 8 stack fervor will keep him in control.
Renekton
* COUNTER PICK * Pretty mean Damage, needs practice, you need to know when to go in and when to get out. ask for Ganks
Yasuo
Pretty easy matchup. your 8 stack Fervor is doing so much damage that he cant keep up. just make sure when ever you play agaist MELEE champ always do Succsesful AA between "Q's" to get Fervor stacks
Vladimir
Skill based matchup also, you just need to know what VLADIMIR's KIT is and you know when to go in and when to get out.
Kennen
* COUNTER PICK * annoying, insane burst potential and always going for POKE. dodge SHURIKEN with "E" and watch that ENERGY to go in. KENNEN got only 1 escape and it have pretty long CD, watch when KENNEN uses that Escape then you have good crack to go for the kill .
Swain
Annoying but not IMPOSSIBRUU. rush "EXECUTIONERS CALLING"
Gnar
Gnar also got only 1 escape with long cooldown. try to make him use that jump and use that for your advantage.
Teemo
well you know Captain. Teemo will be Teemo. try to not get punished by hes "Q" stay back try to farm and just look for good spot to hit ALL-IN.
Nasus
Riven is pretty good COUNTER for NASUS dont let him farm and punish him and after combo disengage with "E"
Cho'Gath
Try to Dodge hes Abilities. and you should be all right.
Sion
One of the Easyest Matchups He Looks Scary but he barely do any damage, He is just building full armor. Kill him early to get ahead with levels and kill him when ever you have ult up.
Fiora
My Opinion? Fiora is not that hard to play against you know what her kit have play smar, dont get stomped on that CC block.
Pantheon
* COUNTER PICK * PANTHEON WITH IGNITE AND THUNDERLORD.... just no word start with "E" BUTTOM SMASH THAT F'KNG "E" and MAX THAT "E" BECAUSE THERE WILL BE SPERS FLYING TO YOUR A** CRACK THAT THAT WILL HURT. play say dont tilt. you will win him at lvl 6.
Rumble
Doing sick Damage. Skillbased Mathcup.
Tryndamere
I dont see Trynda so often anymore. but just try to outfarm him and hit lvl 6 before he does.
Poppy
* COUTNER PICK * it not super hard but lets say "CHALLENGING" her KIT pretty much Counters everything you have on yours.
Quinn
* COUNTER PICK * like always MELEE vs RANGE is hard.
Malphite
Malph just builds so much armor that you are doing 0 damage to him try to get early kills to get ahead.
Garen
* COUNTER PICK * so this is the NEMESIS that we all have been waiting for. Garen the Meat Grinder Him self. damn i hate ppl who plays Garen. Skill Required NON. R POINT AND KILL ULT with EXECUTE TRUEDAMAGE. got 4000 hp NO WORRIES I DO 4000 damage as well. i dont have any advices. GL and PREPARE your BUMBUM.
Shen
Well tbh he is not very good pick, YES YES he have armor hes tanky but that damage is just not quite there.
Gangplank
Easy. Look for good spot to go all in and kill him when every you can hes damage is just not enough.
MR runes gives you great sustain in earlygame afterall earlygame is pretty important if you play Champion like Riven, however if your toplaner is not AP then Jungler or Midlaner Probably is. If not then WTF :D You may ask "Why you dont play with CDR Runes?" well Riven is still pretty much Pop-Ult-and-All-in Champ You get the CDR from items later, you dont rly need CDR before lvl 6 cuz all you do is farm to get lvl 6 faster than your Opponent and then All-in. if your matchup is pokeing you with abilities wich does AP damage for example "KENNEN" "MAOKAI" and "TEEMO" Resist are good and after all you dont want to Die to your matchup.
