Personally, I don't find
-Single stun that steals farm, and is slow.
-No need for his E pretty much in bot, until late game. Wasted ability.
-Aurelion is out ranged by most adcs, unless he W toggles, WHICH STEALS FARM.
-Can't be anywhere near his adc without possibly stealing farm.
-Can't help inevitable kill secures on accident, over the adc, further making him trash for support.

- It's really not a bad thing to be out-ranged... just look at some of the melee tank supports in the bot lane. Just land your
- Not true you can be considerably close to your adc, you wont even steal farm. Played Aurelion Sol support many of times and never stole more than 2 cs in a game. Hes range on
- For the kill secures it definitely not "inevitable". Not sure if you heard of a thing called pressing your w key again to detract your passive. Also if an enemy bot lane tries to escape and your adc can't get him, this ability is very strong. Makes it almost impossible for them to get away. Also it's better than letting the enemy get away.
You sound very frustrated at me. Sorry if you'd had bad experiences with him. But you don't need to go bash my guide just because it was someone else's decision to try it. Some of the reasons you stated can be avoided easily. I do see where you're coming from and I can understand why you're upset. I hope you can understand my point of view.
Anyways, good-luck on the rift!
As for the stun that might be predicted, you can try using it closer but safely behind your minions and still can hit them or even using in the bushes as they cannot see your abilities only your passive (w). He's kit works well bot lane but the only disadvantage he has is that bushes do not hide him.
His kit absolutely does not work bot lane.
Goodbye bush ganks.
hello Slow champion with little escape
Hello limited CC
goodbye ADC farm.
Stop making excuses to play him support because you can't mid T.T
This is like, for purely normals. In troll matches with unrealistic meta comps. Aurelion Sol is unacceptable for support for the following reasons:
-Single stun that steals farm, and is slow.
-No need for his E pretty much in bot, until late game. Wasted ability.
-Aurelion is out ranged by most adcs, unless he W toggles, WHICH STEALS FARM.
-Can't be anywhere near his adc without possibly stealing farm.
-Can't help inevitable kill secures on accident, over the adc, further making him trash for support.
Please stop spreading this. Every single ranked game where some dude tries this, it cripples our adc, and ruins the whole game. Just stop. There's a META for a reason.
Sincerely, Plat Division.
As for Braum's
In fact, he's
As for items I tried to stay with-in the boundaries of Tank and AP as you explained in your post. I really like some of the items you suggested like,
Building some defense like
Now for Champion Synergy I had a tough time putting
If you noticed, I haven't got any of my Guide Sections completed yet as there is more discoveries to be made on him, and he's very unknown what is good on him at this moment. Thanks for the information and I will use it to make the guide more accurate and understandable.
Oh and by the way, to use spoilers, look at the following text below. ;)
EDIT:
For he's abilities, predicting
As for the problem with bushes. You can still use you abilities inside the bush and they wont see it. They only see your Passive (
I'm about Level 5 on
EDIT 2: Unless I can use spoiler tags or something (it's not clear because it's not in the given options on the bar) I can't very well slim it down so I'm formatting it so the information is more clear.
I'm not sure exactly what your plans are but I've played 5 games of Aurelion Solport (3 wins - 2 losses / first game was an S- at 3/3/12) and think I have at least some insight(not a lot) on this champ as a support.
Item/Mastery/Rune Builds
Now, hear my out, this is just what I build on him because I build him as Half-Tank/Half-AP.
My masteries are 0/12/18 with the keystone being Bond of Stone.
I use tanky runes as well.
My reason behind this is to support a slightly less defensive build path to start the game.
My item build is
1. Eye of the Watchers (Frost Queen's is pretty useless on him but I like having the gold generation over the whole game and building the sightstone into my support item gives me more slots to work with)
2. Lucidity boots (Could be swapped for a defense boot if you're behind or just need to be tankier)
3. Rod of Ages (For curing Mana problems, health for more tankiness, and AP for damage)
4. Seraph's Embrace (Synergizes with Rod of Ages and solidifies the end of mana problems forever)
5. Rylai's (Perhaps built a little late in the build, you can probably skip over Seraph's to go for this, but you should at least buy Tear before working on Rylai's so you can get it stacking)
6. Zz'Rot or GA (It depends on what you need at the time, but generally I'd imagine you'll need mixed defenses so these are your mixed defense choices; Zz'Rot is good if you need more pushing power, GA is good if you're ahead or getting blown up in fights)
Champ Synergy
Kalista - Good/Decent - Due to his harass pattern of Qing then moving in and using your W for damage if you land the stun, you're put well into range for AAs giving you some good synergy with Kalista's W passive (the % health for your and Kalista hitting the same target in quick succession) and you have some interesting interactions with her ult. Not only can she grab you out of bad situations, but your stars continue to revolve around you (which you're now considered to be on top of Kalista) while you're ethereal, giving your ADC your stars while she presumably kites backward.
Lucian - Decent - With his strong burst damage and relatively short range, he synergizes well with your harass pattern by removing most of the danger of him coming in close with your reliable stun.
Insight on Abilities
Passive/W - Work on positioning, you can use it to soften waves if you're in voice comms with your ADC but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Due to your inability to hide in bushes you may want to rotate around near river, forcing your opponent's support to answer you or else they leave their ADC exposed (though if you do this, make sure that you keep river warded so you don't get hopped on by a overeager jungler).
Q - Some people may say that this ability is easy to predict, that's where some of its strength lies; There are three ways to dodge it- running away, running diagonal, and sidestepping it. Running away doesn't generally work because it will expand to get you and it has a pretty high movement speed. Running diagonal is pretty effective but has a similar problem that it may still catch you before you get out of the way. Sidestepping is good if you react quickly but it also generally forces you to not make any progress away from Aurelion, meaning he's moved in (because he was nursing the star) and is in range to harass you with his W and then drift away because you were focusing on dodging his stun (generally).
Another relatively important thing to point out is that unlike almost every other support, his stun cannot be blocked. Almost every other stun or root I can think of (Morgana Q, Blitz Hook, Lux Q, Braum Q, Tahm Kench Q at full stacks, etc.) that are ranged can be blocked by minions or by allies. Aurelion Sol, in the same way that Anivia support's stun can't be blocked this way, cannot be bodyblocked and only becomes more threatening as it travels. There are two people off the top of my head as other supports that can thwart this but it's otherwise rather strong for this reason.
Match-ups -
I'm not sure how many games you've played, but I've found that Morgana can be annoying (but is relatively easily managed) because she can thwart your Q plans with a simple blackshield. If you can bait out her shield you're golden, but otherwise she's annoying.
I haven't had the misfortune to play against it, but Braum's shield may also be a pain in the *** for Aurelion Sol. The fact that he destroys the projectile, as long as he can get in front of the middle star and throw up his shield, he can stop your stun from effecting anyone but him, which, while that's good that he can't absolutely negate it, it's still a pretty annoying thing that could turn a sure kill into an actual fight.
If any anyone would like to provide information that would be much appreciated!
Best Regards,
DragonMorpher
aside from that the course of the stun can be predicted and the ult is also a realy nice disengage for a gank
