Threats & Synergies
Very annoying to lane against because she can get free cs and outdamage you most of the time.
Just dodge her E in lane and stay far from her shroud.
She outranges you and can get free damage off with her abilities. Pretty much don't pick Karthus vs her.
He can dive hard and dodge your ulti. Trade E and Q with him when he dashes into you early on.
You have the advantage until hes lv 3 then just sit back and wait to get dove or solo killed.
Don't go near her daggers and farm safely with Q. In midgame make sure to not facecheck. You do as much as her in teamfights.
Wait for her to use her E and Q then trade. Flash away from her ulti. You outdamage her at all stages of the game.
He'll beat you in lane and steal your ulti with his own scaling. Unless you have a good team you won't beat him
Toggle E whenever he comes into range and don't walk up if you have a wave.
Just play your lane carefully. Take exhaust if you have to. If you can last until you have 3 items it's pretty much a win. Rush Zhonya.
He outranges and outdamages you most of the time but is easily ganked. If you can get ahead on him it's GG.
She'll probably kill you but your ulti later on will do alot more than her.
You're better than him at most stages of the game. Just stay out of his ulti range and don't let him Q+auto you.
Ori's strongsuit is her ability to zone people off cs early on but this doesn't apply to you because you have long range. Watch out for ganks because Ori is good at setting them up.
Whoever is more aggressive early wins. Just keep in mind for ganks.
You can't outtrade her. Look to farm and waveclear until you have 3 items.
Be mindful of her lv 2 all in if she takes ignite. Staying out of the range of her Q will get you out of laning phase. After she gets tiamat don't walk up to your wave at all. Let her minions get under your turret then farm.
You won't kill him and he'll have a hard time killing you too. Just don't get hit by his Q.
As long as you dodge either Q or E you'll win the trade vs her.
Champion Build Guide
Karthus is a damage machine. If you get ahead you can expect to do double your ADC's damage. You don't have to walk out of lane to gank someone and you can get through laning phase without fighting at all.
Karthus has no mobility spells and rely very much on map awareness to steer clear of ganks. If you get behind too much you won't be able to do much. Your mind is constantly on alert when playing vs Katarina or Irelia or Zed. Laning will be stressful.
If you're vs an assassin and you're not very confident in your ability to cs from far away and position well exhaust can help you survive laning phase.
Lost chapter will carry you through laning phase. Luden's is almost always my first item. It's extremely good for waveclearing and synergizes with your ult. If you're ahead the first teamfight after you get rabadon's will be an automatic win.
When the first wave comes make sure you get lv 2 before or at the same time as the enemy laner, but don't push the lane too hard or you'll be very gankable. You can trade lv 1 vs melee champs or champs with low damage early.
DO NOT USE YOUR ULTI BEFORE YOUR FIRST BACK UNLESS THEY'RE 100 HP OR LESS
If the enemy laner goes B and they don't have TP and their jungler is elsewhere on the map. Push the wave in as fast as you can and try to get a turret plate.
Don't use your autoattack to CS unless you're very good at timing them.
Splitpushing with Karthus is high risk high reward. You can aid the rest of your team if they fight at baron while you push bot. You'll get a tower out of this too. But the downside is that a splitpusher is traditionally a strong 1v1 champ like Jax or Fiora. If you don't have good map awareness and vision control you could just die for free making it a 5v4.
CAST YOUR ULT AFTER YOU DIE OR IT WILL GET INTERRUPTED
Karthus is a lategame monster because a single Q could chunk carries and your post-death damage is through the roof. They will engage on you every time so as soon as they do toggle on E and turn on Zhonya. The 2.5 seconds of E damage makes a big difference in lategame fights. Once you die Q a couple of times to try and hit someone then ult.
