Hi, I'm zEstevaldo main Kayle of Brazilian server. I'm not a proplayer or anything of this, I'm only a simply main Kayle trying to teach what I know. I'm sorry if have any english errors, I don't speak english fluently. I hope if You like this guide!
Kayle is a great champion with good scaling for late game. She have problems in the early game, but can be relieved after the level 11 when Kayle turns ranged. Kayle can fight 2v1 trades easily, making her a great split pusher. Kayle can be useful in team fights too because She have a good utility for team and a big damage to deal in the enemies.
Divine Ascent gives to Kayle four forms when she reach the levels 1/6/11/16, this forms are activated by skill points distributed:
Level 1 - Zealous: Kayle's attacks grant 6% of bonus Attack Speed, stacking 5 times giving at maximum 30% of bonus Attack Speed. With 5 stacks, Kayle becomes Exalted and gain 15% of Move Speed going towards enemies. If You don't attack for 5 seconds the passive ends.
Level 6 - Aflame: When Exalted, Kayle's attacks launch a wave of fire that deal magic damage(this scales with the level of Starfire Spellblade) to enemies hit.
Level 11 - Arisen: Kayle becomes a ranged champion with 550 of range. Zealous's bonus Attack Speed is increased to 10% of bonus Attack Speed, for a maximum of 50% of bonus Attack Speed.
Level 16 - Transcendent: Kayle becomes permanent Exalted. Her flaming waves deal true damage.
Before level 16 is best to stack the Zealous's passive in minions. When You're Exalted, You can go for trades with the enemy. After level 16, the game is another, Kayle is ranged, is permanent Exalted and your flaming waves deal true damage, is the best time to split push because in this form is hard to kill You.
Radiant Blast deals magic damage, apply slow and reduces in 20% the Armor and MR of the first enemy hit and in the enemies behind. This skill is good for trades in early game, the Armor and MR reduction is great for trades when You're melee, but is less effective when You're ranged. Upgrade this after Starfire Spellblade and before reach level 11 and upgrade the last 2 levels of the skill after level 16.
Celestial Blessing heals You and an ally and gives Move Speed for 2 seconds. This skill is good to save an ally because it target in the ally with less Health. Upgrade this skill between level 11 and level 16 to get more heal and more utility.
Starfire Spellblade buffs your next attack dealing damage based on missing Health of the target. When Kayle is Aflame damage the enemies around the target. This buffed attack is ranged. This skill is good to poke the enemy, and to execute when He's with low Health. Upgrade this first to deal more damage and to improve the flaming waves too.
Divine Judgement gives to You or to an ally invulnerability for 2/2,5/3 and after 1,5 seconds deals magic damage around the target. Kayle can't attack during the cast of ultimate. This skill can be useful in trades in early game, but in late game is best to use in a melee ally because in late game You need to deal basic attacks, but You can use in yourself if needed.
Teleport is the best summoner spell for Kayle because She is a split pusher and needs Teleport to be present in a fight, and in the early game You can use the Teleport to back for lane or to make plays in another lanes.
Flash is an indispensable summoner spell, You can use to run out or to make agressive plays, for example, using flash after cast Divine Judgement in yourself to deal damage in the enemies.
Lethal Tempo gives to You Attack Speed 1,5 seconds after You hit an enemy for 3 seconds. If You hit the champion during the 1,5 seconds, the Lethal Tempo extend the duration to 6 seconds. Lethal Tempo allows You to exceed the Attack Speed limit when is activated. This rune is good for Kayle because You can get the 5 stacks of Zealous's passive, being Exalted easily.
Triumph restore 12% of your missing Health and grants aditional 20 of Gold for takedowns. This rune is good to recover your Health after using Divine Judgement in yourself and killing the enemies with the ultimate damage, You can easily win a fight with this.
Legend: Alacrity grants 3% of Attack Speed and more 1,5% for every Legend stack. Gain Legend stacks for every 20 points earned, at maximum of 10 stacks: 20 points for champion takedowns, 20 points for epic monster takedowns, 5 points for large monster kills and 1 point for minion kills. This rune is good because buffs your Attack Speed that works good for Kayle.
Last Stand grants 5-11% of all of your damage when You're below 60% of Health, increasing the damage at maximum when You're below 30% of Health. This rune is good because You can stay alive with Divine Judgement and You can deal much damage in the enemies with the seconds of invulnerability.
Nimbus Cloak grants 100 of Move Speed when You activate your ultimate for 2,5 seconds. In this time You can pass through units. This rune is good for agressive plays with Divine Judgement or to self reposition if You cast your ultimate in your ally.
Celerity buffs all of your Move Speed bonuses in 10%. This rune is good to get more Move Speed of Celestial Blessing and of Nimbus Cloak activation.
Start the game with Corrupting Potion to get sustain of Health and Mana, and to deal more damage in trades.
If You need to go to base early in the game, buy The Dark Seal to increase the efficiency of your Corrupting Potions and Boots of Speed to get more speed to dodge of some skills.
In your second back try to buy Stinger and Fiendish Codex. If You can't buy this two items buy only Fiendish Codex to gain more AP for trades.
As first item You'll buy Nashor's Tooth to get more Attack Speed, AP and Cooldown Reduction, and to deal more magic damage in your basic attacks. After You finish Nashor's Tooth, You can buy Berserker's Greaves to get more Attack Speed too.
As second item You'll buy Hextech Gunblade to get more AD and AP, and to heal when You cause damage. You can use this item with Starfire Spellblade to finalize an enemy.
As third item You can buy Lich Bane to get more AP and to get more damage when You activate your Starfire Spellblade. After level 11, You can spam your skills to deal more damage in your basic attacks.
As fourth item You can buy Rabadon's Deathcap to get much more AP and to multiply your total AP for 40%.
As fifth item You can buy Phantom Dancer to get more Attack Speed and more Critical Chance. If You hit an enemy champion, You gain 7% of Move Speed and can pass through units. And if You take a damage that reduces your Health below 30%, You gain a shield that protects of damage.
If You need to stay alive, You can buy Guardian Angel to revive in a fight and to use Divine Judgement after You revive. Is best to buy before level 11 when You're melee.
If your team needs more utility buy Ardent Censer to buff the heal of your Celestial Blessing and to gives Attack Speed for a carry.
If You're fully stacked with The Dark Seal, after finish Nashor's Tooth and Hextech Gunblade, in your next recall You can buy Mejai's Soulstealer to get more stacks and deal more damage.
After finish your build, buy the Elixir of Sorcery to increase your AP, Mana regeneration and to deal more true damage.
Don't forgive to buy Control Wards when You go to base, is good to get vision of the enemy jungler track, generally use in the bush of the river.
