Bullies you until you uninstall, trading wont be that fun either because of his W. Has no escapes - try to set up ganks to punish if he overextends
Teemo
Harrass is unlimited, try to trade - you will get blinded. Has no escapes - try to set up ganks to punish if he overextends
Malphite
Cant really beat you in early game nor in late game if you were to go all out on eachother since you have mixed damage, and he has tankyness, but in lane you will get harrassed by his q, then all-ined when you are low, which is really hard to avoid since you cant trade with him, he can outrun you because his q steals movement speed so one gap closer is not enough to avoid getting kited when going for trades.
Singed
Will toss you around and kite you to infinity while poisoning you, also his slow now grounds you making you unable to use your only gap closer, avoid trading and farm it up.
Renekton
You can block his W with yor E, but that is pretty difficut to do, also he can have up to two dashes while you have one leap so you might get outraded by a good renekton player. Whoever gets a lead will win the lane if not thrown.
Jayce
Has long range to poke you, dont jump onto him while he is on hammer form - he will knock you away, switch to cannon and give you some beating. Farm and engage when you are sure that you can stick on him for a whole all in.
Rumble
The only blockable ability of his is autoattacks which is not where most of his damage comes from. You will often find yourself getting harrassed, by his harpoons, and when you jump in to trade he will use his flamethrower which in most cases should win him the trade. Stand behind minions to avoid his skillshot based poke, dont push because he can set up ganks easily with his ultimate. Wait until his flamethorwer is down then trade. Only use your Q if neccessary, since he has many slows and gapclosers can be invaluable escape tools in matchups like that, keep track of his rage bar, he cant use any abilities when its full. Try to set up ganks and punish his lack of escapes.
Yorick
Using your Q aggressively might lead you to him putting you in a cage and trading all he wants. Save your Q, walk up to him try to parry his Q with your E and chunk him, then get out or continue the fight depending on the situation. Keeping the wave in the middle of lane might be beneficial to you since you should have how to escape after your aggressive trades
Gnar
He can use his Q to poke you from far range and harrass you with ranged autos, in most cases you will find him saving his jump to kite yours, go in when its down, watch his rage bar.
Garen
Majority of garen's damage comes from his E, and you cant dodge it after going in to trade, aslo his W reduces your stun time even further. Play defensive, wait for him to initiate trades with his q. Block with e + AA + W + stun and get out with q if needed. If gained a lead press him down, so he doesnt get to utilise his passive but be wary of his burst with ultimate. Save that Q for escapes!
Darius
Same as Garen, block his W with E, trade, and get out when he starts using his Q since he wont be able to interrupt your Q with his E while he is in the middle of the animation, requires fast reaction since you might still get chipped by the Q while you are jumping away. Dont go for all out fights when close to even health unless you are sure you can win.
Wukong
React to his E with yours since he will most likely use his Q just after that, trade him and get out, initiating trade might not work well because of his invisibility. Not having your E in an all in you think you can win might be a crucial mistake since his cooldowns are lower than your E.
Cho'Gath
Pretty even matchup, he wins short trades early, but if you dont get scared and stand your ground and keep threathening all ins, any average chogath player will fall behind.
Nasus
Establish lane control in early game, zone him from stacks, even exp, dont push, snowball your lead and make him useless.
Riven
Your E denies her the use of AA resets from her q where majority of her damage comes from early game, when she is done with her combo she will usually back off since she cant pack a punch worthy to compete with jax for a few seconds while her abilities are down. Take those extended trades, stick to her while she only has her auto attacks, but dont take it too far - when she gets her abilities back up and you are still on her, you might get sent back to the fountain.
Aatrox
He will use his Q onto minions, thats where you go in, since he wont have majority of his damage for a few seconds, be careful though, if you give him a lead, you might find yourself in a tough spot.
Irelia
Dodge her stun and go for a trade early, if her Q is down - trade. If she ults you, you should ult too in most cases because she is probably going for a trade. Gain a health lead and push. Dont go out of your way to jump on her to harrass, stand close to low hp minions so if she wants to take them you can get some free damage down, but be wary, she might be using them to close the gap and engage on you.
Fiora
Her primary poke tool and E + aa resets can be blocked by your E. Also keep track of how she tries to parry your stun with her W, and try to surprise her. Your bonus armor from the ultimate wont really help against hers since proced weakspots deal true damage, so if she puts her ulti on you disengage or atleast dont give her all the weakspot procs unless you are sure you can take her down. Do not push unless you have a fair lead which you can rely on.
Yasuo
Early game to late you will be stronger than him through the whole game. Unless you fail your abilities this will be onesided match up. Bully him early, zone him from the farm, make him cry for taking that thing into toplane.
Tryndamere
All of his damage comes from his auto attacks, and you have a perfect tool to counter that - your E. Walk up and start bashing him, when he uses his spin, go in on him and stunt him, dont activate the stun early as it will give greater ammount of time for you to block his autos. Play aggressive.
Rengar
Majority of his damage comes from his Q, but dont activate your E unless he is planning to use his empowered Q since even if blocked will give him attack speed which will give him some potential for extended trades, without his empowered Q and your E the trades go about even, press him under the tower so he cant utilise the bushes and use his little range to harrass you, but dont get ganked and use you E aggressively when pushed up unless you can kill him!
Evelynn
Using her W on the enemy while ganking will instantly alert the enemy. This is the biggest con of it since it gives an enemy a chance to react, however that is also a perfect chance for jax to jump in with his stun and go all in. As Jax dont pull your stun early unless the situation requires since you might need to fallow a flash by scared to death enemy toplaner. With both Jax and Evelynn on top of enemy toplaner after landing their full combo, a kill is pretty much certain
Nocturne
After both Jax and Nocturne had engaged the enemy, Jax's stun gives perfect time window for Nocturne's fear timer to complete which will give a sweet crowd control chain and a burst that not many can survive.
Zac
Heavy CC from zac will allow Jax to hold onto his gapcloser for a hefty ammount of time so if everything goes well, a kill should be easy.
Vi
CC chain and % health damage + mixed damage from jax should make any laner fear
Kha'Zix
Jax's and Kha zix's kits allow eachother to engage and stick to a target, however a slipery target and slight misplay might let the prey escape.
Rengar
If Rengar is coming to gank with his ultimate, he only has one gap closer, same as Jax, and if using bushes or casually walking up, then using his ultimate will give enemy fair time to pack his things and return to safety.
Graves
Jax doesnt care about wether there are minions around the target or not, where Graves does, on top of that, Graves has no CC so its all up to Jax and his short stun to lock his target down and collapse on him.
