Introduction
Some of the champions I play are:
- Zac Jungle
- Graves Top
- Nautilus Jungle
- Tahm Kench Top
- Vel'Koz Mid
This guide will explain the item build above for Graves Top. Bear in mind that there are other people who have different guides and I suggest checking them out as well. Since my build may not work for everybody.
Most ADC's would start of with Doran's Blade and Graves is no exception. However you could go for Corrupting Potion but that would just reduce your early lifesteal over some potions with burns and Graves is meant for lifesteal.
EARLY CORE
On your first back you want to try to purchase the Zeal into the Phantom Dancer. Most people question me for choosing this item. It is relatively cheaper than most items and it scales with Graves' basic attacks so well. The extra critical strike do massive damage to the enemy, also the bonus movement speed really helps to get away from attacks like Garen's Q.
Death's Dance is really useful on graves since he will get extra lifesteal and high sttack damage making him overall more bursty and hard to defeat. It even acts like a mini ignite on the opponent in case they can get away from you with the lowest of health.
MID GAME
It really does depend from here, some people like to build him more tanky, whereas I build him with more lifesteal via the Bloodthirster and Mercurial Scimitar. These two items are so violently powerful on graves that it's not even funny. These items alone will allow me to heal Graves from 5% to nearly full when fighting the Raptor's (Death's Dance included)
LATE GAME
I hardly go the tanky path but if you do then get the Deadman's plate for the bonus basic burst and movement speed. Most of the time I will get the Maw of Malmortius if the enemy has any Mage/AP carries on their team. Youmuu's Chostblade is a very viable option but should only be purchased when ahead of the enemy team. You could purchase the Infinity Edge for some extra damage and more crits which will really screw around with the enemy.
