Welcome to the AP MIDLANE Rakan guide in the season 7.

This guide will help you a lot to play rakan in an insane way and dealing a ton of damage.

Read every pharagraph please before starting game, everything's important there.

I recommend you to don't play rakan in ranked queues still you don't learn it and his power. Rakan is an champion that is very weak in early games but op in late games.

Using your ult

The Quickness is the most powerful tool of Rakan's kit, and have a medium-size cooldown. This tool helps you a lot if you have Zed or Yasuo on lane, because it makes 'em to can't use any spell, and a Zed or an Yasuo without their abilities is like, nothing. Use this after one of 'em used ultimate ( Death Mark or the other one).

Spells

Flash or Ghost and Ignite. Ghost if you want to apply a max movement speed build or if you just want to catch your enemies when they escaped, and if you don't want to do this you should take flash to escape. Use your flash just when you have a chance to escape(never flash when they are 2 and you're one, and one from them have any CC, this is useless). Using it when it's not time is an disavantage that can let your enemy to kill you.

Masteries

Thunderlord's Decree with W and Q can do some damage that can make your enemy at least to go base if doesn't die. There is more usefull than other mastery, except the one who makes your shields and heals stronger, but just if you have a big-damage dealer on lane or if their jungle is assasin like Rengar of Kha'Zix.

You need just three ability power gylphs and 6 others to have some cooldown reduction. You must have those (whatever tier) for more damage dealt in a minute or on more minutes. Quintessence of Abillity Power increases your damage and Magic Penetration is for tanky champions.

Warning: Don't forget any rune, everyone is very usefull and if you don't have one type of them should be a big disavantage.

Maxing Q is the best solution for every way you want to play rakan. After you maxed your Q, you should start with W, adding a single point on E, because in teamfights and when you have Xayah in team you can easily use it for an escape or for a gank, why not.
