Above6AM's Guide For Sett (newest patch)

By Above6AM
Introduction

Yo homie, Im Above6AM. I am a top laner since 2016, my mains was old Mordekaiser into the reworked Mordekaiser but i decided to switch over Kled for a few season and finnally decided to make Sett my current main.

I remmeber trying Sett out a few times and was most likely doing bad games with it compaired to my others mains. I remmeber complainning about how this champ was useless and was doing no damage, but now since i really got into it, i would say its a good top laner, even i would go for, its one of the best top laners.

I recently hited plat (which i know aint so fabulous) then i hited Gold last season. I aint no ranked player, i just play for the fun of it.

I started today (08-08-2025) making out guides to publish few tips and tricks that i know and builds that i think its decent. I would say if you love 1 tap people with a spell and be an absolute unit, Sett is made for you.

Pros and Cons

PROS:

- Fairly easy to play
- Good teamfighter
- Good CC
- A good fight engager
- Tanky/Good dammage
- Lane Bully
- Good dualist
- Great dive access

CONS:

- Immoblie, easly kiteable
- Miss a W or E, GG's
- Item reliant
- High CD
- Fall off late game
- Susceptible to constant poke
- Difficult into ranged champions

Abilities Rundown

Passive : Pit Grit

Sett's attacks alternate between left and right punches. Right punches follow the left quickly and deal an additional 5-90 (+0.55 per bonus attack damage) physical damage.

Sett gains 0.15 / 0.5 / 1 / 2 health regeneration per second for each 5% missing health.

Q Spell : Knuckle Down

Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5
Sett itches for a fight, gaining 30% Movement Speed towards enemy champions for 1.5 seconds. Additionally Sett's next two attacks deal an additional 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3% per 100 total attack damage) plus 1% max health as physical damage.

W Spell : Haymaker

Range: 790
Cooldown: 18 / 16.5 / 15 / 13.5 / 12
Passive: Sett stores 100% of damage taken as grit, up to 50% of his maximum health. Grit decays in 4 seconds after the damage was taken.

Active: Sett consumes all grit, gaining a shield depending on the consumed grit, decaying over 3 seconds. Sett then delivers a massive punch, dealing 80 / 100 / 120 / 140 / 160 (+25% per 100 bonus attack damage) plus 25% of grit consumed as true damage to enemies in the center. Enemies not in the center instead take physical damage.

E Spell : Facebreaker

Range: 490
Cooldown: 16 / 14.5 / 13 / 11.5 / 10
Sett smashes enemies on either side of him into each other, dealing 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 (+0.6 bonus attack damage) physical damage and slowing them by 70% for 0.5 seconds. If Sett grabbed at least one enemy on each side, all enemies are stunned for 1 second.

R Spell : The Show Stopper

Range: 400
Cooldown: 120 / 100 / 80
Sett grabs an enemy champion and suppresses them as he carries them forward, then slams them into the ground, dealing 200 / 300 / 400(+1.2 bonus attack damage) plus 40 / 50 / 60% of the grabbed enemy's bonus health as physical damage to surrounding enemies and slowing them by 99% for 1 second. Enemies take less damage the further they are from where Sett lands.

Items

Boots Selection

Merc's Treads

Mercury's Treads would be my go to for the 30% tenacity, very useful if you get put in a Hard CC matchup or even laning against some CC, its also good against AP comps in general due to the 20 Magic Resist.

Plated Steelcaps

Plated Steelcaps, its a good pair of boots when laning against a attack damage champ, giving a good 25 armor or when the enemy comp is most likely doing attack damage. It also a viable pair of boots for a matchup that auto attacks a lot due the the passive that reduce auto attacks by 10%, so try to get those into ranged and aggresive laners

Boots of Swiftness

I would go Boots of Swiftness if you need extra MS to sidestep. giving you 55 Movement Speed (10 more MS than other boots) or to counter slowing champs due to the passive giving you 25% slow resistance. Also a great pick to help you ingage into fights since Sett is a slow champ with a low movement kit

Bruiser Items

Stridebreaker

Stridebreaker allow you to gain access to a waveclear, a slow and extra [[movement speed] which is a good item to all in your enemy and also follow up your opponent.

UNIQUE Passive: Basic attacks on-hit deal [40% AD for Melee | 20% AD for Ranged] physical damage to other enemies in a 350 radius centered around the target.

UNIQUE Active: Deal 80% AD physical damage to enemies in a 450 radius centered around you and slow them by 35% for 3 seconds. For each champion hit, gain 35% bonus movement speed decaying over 3 seconds. Can move while casting (15 second cooldown).

Overlord's Bloodmail

Bloodmail second is for gaining the extra AD of your max health, Sett is a bruiser which makes AD and Health beneficial for him, Bloodmail gives him both on top of giving him extra AD of all the health he gains from his items, it also give more AD based of missing health which makes him stronger in fights the more health he lose.

UNIQUE Passive: Gain bonus attack damage equal to 2.5% bonus health.

UNIQUE Passive: Gain 0−12% bonus attack damage (depending on missing health).

Sterak's Gage

Sterak's third for the Passive shield and the stats on top of it. It also gives a 20% tenacity which pairs very well with Mercury's Treads and other boots that dont have any tenacity. It also gives attack damage based on your base AD and health.

UNIQUE Passive: Gain bonus [[attack damage[[ equal to 45% base AD.

UNIQUE Passive: If you would take damage that would reduce you below 30% of your maximum health, you first gain a shield that absorbs damage equal to 60% of bonus health which decays over 4.5 seconds, as well as 10% increased size for 8 seconds (90 second cooldown).

Spear of Shojin

Shojin is a solid fourth due to its passive giving an extra % dmg to passives and abilities. Its also gives decent stats like health, attack damage and basic ability haste, which makes your spells cooldowns a bit faster.

UNIQUE Passive: Gain 25 basic ability haste.

UNIQUE Passive: Dealing ability damage with a champion ability grants a stack for 6 seconds, stacking up to 4 times and up to 1 per cast instance per second and every second for damage over time abilities. For each stack, your ability damage and proc damage dealt by abilities gain 3% increased damage, for a total increase of 12% at maximum stacks.

Chempunk Chainsword

Chempunk is a must, every adc gonna have some lifesteal maybe not a lot but still enough to be a bit of an issue, it also denies regeneration which dont seems like a big deal but still some healing denied, on top of it it also give attack damage, health and Ability Haste.

UNIQUE Passive: Dealing physical damage to enemy champions inflicts them with 40% Grievous Wounds for 3 seconds.
