Is it just me, or is the entire body of the guide gone? o_o

Is this supposed to look censored?

(Cause it looks censored.)

The lighter purple/pink/raspberry used on the "select mode" makes it hard to read compared to the dark raspberry color used on the guide title header atari porn star double duck hunt gun MF image. I would suggest changing the border to the darker color. That would probably take a long time tho since you seem to use it all over the place.

I understand that MF's passive literally makes her **** out hearts, but pixel + hearts + game theme gives off the impression of Zelda and like... healing yourself. Then you've got the metallic-ish/beveled frame thing.

Yeah idk what's going on here.

Gradients in older 8/16 bit games were usually going top to bot, not left to right. E.g. you'd have a static vertical gradient as a background and the other elements would move over it. Or in FF6 and such, the dialogue boxes would have a vertical gradient background.

Holy cringeworthy contrast christ, Batman. First, the colors. Why god why. 8 kittens die every time someone has to look at this. Also you seemed to have visual hierarchy down in your Jinx guide, but there's no visual hierarchy here - e.g. the item/s and explanation parts, which act as table headers, would benefit from having a larger font size (and probably a fat suit to pad them up in those pink painted cells).

JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN MAKE A PINK AND PURPLE TABLE DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU SHOULD.

SERIOUSLY HAVEN'T YOU EVER SEEN SPIDER-MAN? WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY.

Thanks so much for the review! Rep+ Think I took care of pretty much everything. Will get to the Jinx guide eventually.

Good-bye flag counter.

Your requested review!

Guide Structure and uniformity
  • Under "Core" in the cheatsheet you could show IE before BG to clarify it's the preference
  • "Finish with" is not telling me about the boot enchantment offered in the example build ...
  • Zephyr in the cheatsheet but not in the guide?
  • The guide is well structured and everything is uniform

Readability and visualization
  • Well these colours hurt my eyes but there are simply no flaws in visualization
  • Read your explanations on "On Spawn" again and wonder how many times you said keep and help - okay, this one isn't that serious tbh
  • You are using "the" constantly preliminary to item names ("the Infinity Edge"). I thought I'm the German guy here
  • "keeping the stacks. The active is useful" (found in th section about MF's W) - HA, there is pace missing and I hope you live in shame now because there is nothing else I could find

Viability of provided information

That's it for now! I hope I could provide you some useful content and not something you can pass by without bad conscience. Yo can give me feedback as well on my review theme etc..

Have a nice day,

Okay, I think I fixed most of the guide (except for the banners because I am not talented and patience is a virtue but like I will sometime eventually probably). Thanks again for the review.

I don't really get your statement. So you can't get other trinkets, but you can?

You can't start the game with any other trinket.

First things first, I'm the realest thank you for taking the time to make such a lengthy review.

Quoted:

As requested at the Mobafire scout review shop, here is your review! Sorry for the wait.

No problem.

Quoted:
The Build
BT is a better item compared to BOTRK on miss fortune because shes not an autoattacker; she relies on her AD scaling ultimate to do the damages. It also gives twice the lifesteal and a shield.

First off, I disagree that Miss Fortune isn't an auto attacker and that she relies mainly on her ult for damage. Yes, she's probably not so much of a DPS champion compared to other marksmen, but I disagree on building to maximize her damage based on her ultimate. Bullet Time is a channeled conic ability, so it's rather easy to dodge. Impure Shots means she can auto attack a lot too. On a different note, I actually have been trying Bloodthirster more and find it more preferable over Blade of the Ruined King for more damage and life steal, so I'll be changing that later.

Quoted:
You should probably pick up shiv over PD due to it being stronger in the early/mid game where MF shines and having more synergy with her burst-heavy and low waveclear playstyle; again MF doesn't really autoattack much.

I do think that Miss Fortune does auto attack a lot. I don't think Miss Fortune is much of a burst champion either because her ult is a channeled ability, and Make it Rain is awful. I think most of her damage is done when focusing on a single target and getting as much Impure Shots stacks on her.

Quoted:
Getting a vamp scepter while rushing IE is generally inadvisable because it delays your power spike so much without really giving you very much in return (no damage). You can, however, get two doran's blades.

Will remove.

Quoted:
You can opt for any of the three trinkets, but I recommend the Warding Totem -> Nope, no you can't. You can trade it out later, but if you don't start WT you'll have trouble with vision in the early game, as support don't get sightstone till level 6-7.

I don't really get your statement. So you can't get other trinkets, but you can?

Quoted:
Essence Reaver shouldn't even be mentioned. It's a bad item and especially on MF when she has no mana issues. No reason to mention it.

Will remove.

Quoted:
Nitpicks + Spelling/Grammar stuff

there's a lot

Will check later. Lol I actually thought my English was pretty okay since it's not my only language.

Quoted:
Guide Content & Aesthetics
You don't need to tell us what each mastery does. That's already explained in the tooltips. You SHOULD explain why it's good to take those specific masteries on MF and if it's obvious then don't write anything at all.

Mercurial Scimitar gives you more mobility -> you should PROBABLY mention the CC removal.

Will do.

Quoted:
In the abilities chapter, the bit about Bullet Time, you're being very vague. You mention stacks but you're not saying anything about Impure Shots, and you're not mentioning how to apply them to set up for your ult or anything like that.

Will fix.

Quoted:
"Miss Fortune makes for a good pusher and split-pusher during mid game." MF is actually NOT a great pusher/split pusher. She doesn't have any reliable AoE besides her ult, which you shouldn't always use to clear waves, or besides Shiv, which you don't recommend every game. Also she has no escapes bar Flash unless you count her passive and loses 1v1s to most other ADs, unless you're VERY ahead and the enemy adc is not a hyper carry.

I honestly do think she's okay in pushing. Impure Shots isn't a bad steroid, and her passive means she can move around pretty quickly and rejoin her team. Her Q's CD is pretty low and she does okay in trading if she can get in some stacks on W.

Quoted:
"One tactic you can do is quickly wiping a minion wave with Bullet Time so as to draw the enemies apart, and you can quickly rejoin your team and force a fight that would be in your favor." Okay so a couple chapters ago you said that the main usage of MF's ult is in teamfights and now you're suggesting to the readers that they use their ult and teamfight after having used it? AD carry wise MF is probably the worst team fighter without her ult. Except maybe Quinn.

I meant that if you want, you could split up the team, and in such a scenario, your team would probably win a fight if you have the numbers advantage. Wave clearing earlier on is okay, but I meant that later on, it's probably best to save it for fights.

Quoted:
About orb walking... you mention why it's good to do it but you never explain HOW to do it. I mean you're kinda vague about it anyway. I KNOW what you mean but some fresh 30 player isn't gonna understand that.

Will explain more.

Quoted:
Blitzcrank has great synergy with MF, if he hooks people in when you're low or your stuff is on CD then he's just a bad player. I mean the champion overall is kinda not amazing but he's quite okay in lane with MF.

I meant that there are better synergies for her. Will fix.

Miss Fortune isn't really that great a roamer. She runs fast, sure, but when she gets there she doesn't do much and she can't 1v1 people.

Quoted:
Since getting buffed Kog kinda does beat MF in lane, so he's not a great matchup. He can out trade her when having his W activated. Similarly, Taric and Soraka, although they have a heal, aren't too pushy overy of supports. They can both interrupt her ultimate too, you know?

Well in all fairness, all supports can cancel her ultimate (i think). I chose Taric and Soraka because they're rather weak overall as supports, and they're not very mobile.

Quoted:
Would be good to mention more times when using your ult is good. LIke when they are focused on someone or something else and when your team picks a fight in a choke point (small, tight corridor).

Will do, although I do think I mentioned choke points somewhere.

Quoted:
As far as the aesthetics of the guide go I might sound a little harsh here and I really don't want to have to critique it like I would any other banners/signatures but there are a lottle of things that bother me. For starters the size of the banners. They're just too big and too bright and the pixels kinda look like they're... uhm... hiding something? It looked like you censored them. I'd shrink them probably, if nothing else. Also in your table of contents... isn't Building the same as Items? Kinda is at least very similar.

Sorry :p Not really that good in making my own banners from scratch. I'll try to redo them over time.

Thank you so much for all the feedback. I'll update the guide when I find the time to do so, but again, I'll take into consideration everything you said.

Will try it out.

EDIT: Can you list all the people who helped in the making of the review, so I can Rep+ them? Thanks.
