Hi there

I like to play TF, eventho I've never really felt like I've found the routine, that I have with alot other champs. But this build made a change to that!

I'm now able to beat anyone in lane - From Zed to LB, who I've both hated before. Now I am actually able to do something without having my cd's up ;) Awesome!

Have a good weekend ;)

Also I didn't mention this but

**This build only works if you are ahead**

If for some reason i fail in lane or just ww ults me 100 times, I switch to a backline caster.

Hey dude thanks for the feedback. Glad someone tried it out.

I see what your saying about this not being a good build in some situations. and i agree, you are right. I don't use this build all the time but In the right circumstances it can do way more than a traditional CM build.

Thanks for the comments and feedback

Hello again,

So after about 15-20 games "roughly" of ranked play using this build along with my experience I have concluded this build is not for me. The pro's of this build is very amusing as you have movement speed for almost every situation to get in to or get out of. When playing mid's that are based on skill shots you're able to do as you wish and poke down at will. "again this makes it very fun"

The thing I find problematic with this build is that you are so so very squishy without the burst as you would have going straight AP. Yes, you are able to outrun anyone during a chase or chase someone down for a kill during early to late game. Problem is with so much CC in the game you are targeted very often which during a gank on the new smite item is very very unpleasant.

Team fighting "mid - late" you still would want to be in the back line spamming q's and hoping to land a good stun on adc along the way but with you would want to be doing the same situation if you were straight AP with so more burst than being utility.

In conclusion I'm not saying this is not a good build although would suit TF (CM) more of the assassin burst. My normal build im able to clear lanes with red card second minion and q' by level 7 or so. "not sure on the exact level" which I definitely lacked here.

All and all thank you for the guide and time spent

Ello Ello,

Was really looking for a unique build on TF as I main him since season 3 with 1500+ games in ranked and now season 4 with about 700+ games. I would like to say I do have a high skill of his KIT and understanding what he can and can't be used for. At this time, I would say im pretty dead even and can't quite seem to get over the hump, as far as wins and moving forward to a higher tier "currently gold" I will give this guide a good shot in game and definitely let you know what my opinion consist of "for what its worth" Keep it up and would really look forward to seeing a full blown game with him on different matches. "paxxtwistedfate" is my Sum name if you care to look up anything specific or contact me.

Thanks again man,

hey there OP, just used your build in a game, it wasn't ranked (i'm silver 3) but still. it's actually amazing in my eyes, I love TF (or Card Master now ;) ) as a champ, and have been looking around at some guides and asking people some questions on how to get better with him. though this build is very different, its definitely the one I had the most fun with and I'd like to actually use it more and get really good with it. enemy laner was a yasuo.

here's the match, take away a death or two as I got a little over confident near the end :P

edit: also got OOH BABY A TRIPLE and went on a decent kill-streak, and the movement speed is great and resulted in some fun moments with Irelia and her ult. I defiantly recommend that other players give this build a try.

Hey dude, thanks for trying it out. I'm happy that you like the build. I will be uploading some youtube videos and other things soon. Sorry for the late reply, exams >.>

Lol, His name is Twisted Fate, The card master, old players call him CM because that is what he used to be called.

And the pro's play builds that are for 5v5 team play at the highest level. This is a solo queue build. Obviously.

And I'm not sure how long you have been playing but CM was originally an AD champ who became an AP champ and shortly after season 1 he Became fully hybrid with the introduction of his e change.

As for the comment about ghost and flash, you take flash on every champ, so i don't know why you mentioned that seems silly :p, Ghost has a big CoolDown and you only get the benefits from it for a short duration. Constant Passive move speed in combat is what you need. Not short bursts, otherwise i would suggest running different items like Yomumu's or Mobility boots.

With this build you get around 470 move speed constantly. Which is going to be about as high as you can get without going overboard. So yes my build is centered around upping my own move speed. The twinshadows gives you move speed, as well as having a handy activate for comboing with TF's kit. Rylias is both a cost effective item and provides durability and another slowing factor (Movespeed on myself or lowered move speed on my enemy can be the same thing in certain situations) This build is not designed for 40 minutes games, otherwise you would build more heavy ap items like RAB, this build is for winning the game early with pressure and leads and snow balling the game.

And for the last part of your comment, Building pure burst dmg on a squishy carry with no inherent movement speed or escape is something a SILVER/BRONZE player would do. The reason you build hextech is for the activate, not the spellvamp or life steal although it is helpful inbetween ganks and jungling.

Tf's ult is not used for an escape (except in very specific circumstances) And you are not always going to want to use a gold card. With my build You can deal with any sort of opponent, not just squishies.

Lastly, I thank you for the feedback and the comments and for reading my build :) But please try things out before you criticize them.

I will upload some videos and statistics showcasing this build, i guess its hard to understand or visualize from a non-tf players point of view.

If this is the way that TF (why are you calling him CM?) is meant to be played, why is it that I have not seen any pro players, especially those that are WORLD RENOWNED for their TF play, use this build?

Im sorry, but I have not heard of TF being a Hybrid champ. You either build him AP (like hes supposed to) or you build him AD (I've seen him be played as an ADC before). I do know that movement speed and mobility is valuable on him, but thats why the pros take Ghost and Flash on him.

However, your build looks like it is more focused on slowing others down to catch up to them instead on your own movement speed (which you state is the focus of this guide). The only two items I see worth building into is Lich Bane and Sorcerer's Shoes. Everything else either makes no sense at all, or is just.......meh.

Try building a traditional mage build ( Rabadon's Deathcap, Void Staff, etc) with alot more raw damage instead of a lock down, sustain, hybrid build. If youre as good as you say you are, then you shouldnt need the sustain from Hextech Gunblade or Rylai's Crystal Scepter. TF's gold card and his ult will be more then enough to keep you alive. Plus, the damage you put out will be FAR better then what you currently have, being able to blow up any squishy you wish.
