Introduction

Hey everyone and welcome to my first guide!

Please dont downrate my build before you tested it.

You bought Irelia when she got released by Riot and hated her the AD way? So heres my AP guide!

I recommend to play AP-Irelia only if you are used to her skills.

The reason I'm playing AP-Irelia: You are too autoattack-dependant as AD/AS, but you are very squishy, so you are kinda useless most of the time imo. I dont like that playstyle either and prefer to nuke someone down.

I don't know why the movement speed up there doesn't scale with those boots and Lichbane,
but you will be for sure faster than 353 :S

*Yea my english is a little bit ****ed up but i hope you got the idea and so on :D

Summoner Spells

Ignite
I suggest to pick Ignite because it ****in sucks if someone gets away with 1% HP left and its a nice counter for many champs such as Warwick.

Flash
I just love flash. Its so nice for chasing someone and you can blink through walls.
If you wanna gank someone in mid for example, wait in those bushes. With Flash, you dont have to
wait till they get in your range, just blink in there, bladesurge in their face and melt them down.

Abilities

Ionian Fervor
Each nearby enemy champion (to a maximum of three) reduces the effectiveness of Crowd Control on Irelia.
    1 Champion: 10%
    2 Champions: 25%
    3 Champions: 40%

Bladesurge
Irelia dashes forward to strike her target for 20 / 55 / 90 / 125 / 160 (+1 per Attack Damage). If it kills the target, Bladesurge's cooldown refreshes and refunds 35 Mana.

Hiten Style
Irelia is skilled in the art of Hiten, passively giving her physical attacks 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 health restoration. Activating Hiten Style adds 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 true damage to her physical attacks for 6 seconds.

Equilibrium Strike
Irelia's attack balances the scales, dealing 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+100% of ability power) damage and slowing the target by 60% for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds. However, if the target has a higher Health % than Irelia, then the blow stuns the target instead.

Playstyle

Early game

Start off with a Sapphire Crystal, 2xHealth Potion. Complete your sheen as fast as possible. Your Bladesurge is very useful to lasthit minions, since it costs only
35 mana if you kill your target and its easier than autoattacking.
You can try to harass your enemies with your Bladesurge but it wont do that much damage.
BE CAREFUL and watch out for stuns. At level 3 start jumping in, stun them, run back.
They wont port back and you can take them out later with Q+E combo and ignite.

Mid game

So you got your Sheen which helps you to do lot more damage with bladesurge and your boots . You should already have started
with your Mejais. Build up some stacks by killin their squishies. Jump in with the Q->E
combo. Equilibrium Strike should be doin a nice amount of damage at this time. Get that
Golem buff whenever you can. Use your ulti and your other skills frequently, otherwise
this will take ages :D

Late game

Your goal is to kill their squishies. You are not a tank, so dont act like one and wait
till your tank starts the teamfight.
Due the fact that your Ulti will have like a ~ 28sec cooldown (or even lower!), feel free to spam it right away. Remember: your blades will shot at your cursors position so aim carefully :) Don't be too aggressive (like me) if you got some stacks with your mejais
eitherway you will regret that. You're not squishy anymore, but you're not a tank though.

If you're chasing someone with low health, and you just can't get them (flash on cd) you can
slow them with your ulti because of rylais ;>

Story

The Ionians have developed some of the most breathtaking and deadly martial arts on all of Runeterra ¢¯¿½¯¿½ just one manifestation of their pursuit of enlightenment. The most remarkable blade style to emerge, however, was the unusual byproduct of foreign intervention. Master Lito was a swordsman whose teachings were sought by ruling classes from nearly every city-state. His art was a highly-guarded secret, but it was said that swords would breathe in his grasp. He withered unexpectedly from a mysterious disease which baffled the brightest of Runeterran physicians. When he died, he left behind Zelos and Irelia, his son and daughter, and a truly unique weapon. Zelos became a Sergeant in the Ionian military and left to seek assistance from Demacia immediately prior to Noxus' invasion of Ionia. Irelia, charged with the protection of their home until Zelos returned, was alone when Noxian forces struck.

The Ionians fought admirably, but soon Ionian blood stained the land beneath the prints of foreign boots. At the Great Stand of the Placidium, Ionians prepared for surrender, but were inspired to maintain their resistance when the young Irelia hoisted her father's enormous blade and pledged to hold until her brother returned. In the chaos of the ensuing fight, Irelia was cursed with dark Noxian necromancy. As her life ebbed, Soraka, the Starchild, made a final attempt to anchor Irelia's fading soul. Unwilling to relinquish her home, Irelia rose at the brink of death, and her father's sword lifted in the air alongside her. Irelia rushed back to the fore, unfazed by the blade's sudden animation. The weapon danced around her effortlessly, cutting down Noxians as they gaped in horror. The decimated invaders were forced to retreat from the Placidium. Irelia was appointed Ionia's Captain of the Guard, and when the defense of her homeland moved to the Fields of Justice, so did she.

"The sword flourishes, as though painting with blood."
