Now that Wota give 80 ap i think you should put it over gunblade since this item make you more hybrid than a real APC. The build was fine otherwhise, pretty much my way to play as jax ap.

Hi, thanks for the interesting guide. Wouldn't trinity force be better than LB? The item is just supreme on jax since every stat is just fantastic. And secondly, isn't hextech too late as your 3rd item (not counting boots)? Jax's sustain is terrible without any life steal.

Maybe another remark is that ghost may work fine for you, but flash probably works better for most people, especially since nme cc is Jax's only problem and flash gets you out of range immediately. So maybe you can advise people whichever of these they prefer.

Thx for your feedback.
Why i don't think triforce is better than lichbane on AP Jax: With this build, i am trying to present a different role jax is able to fulfill other than AD Bruiser, Hybrid or Tank. This guide is focusing on AP Jax, which has the (surprisngly working) role of bursting people with magic damage. Don't quote me on this, but i don't think you can switch out LB for TF, because it doesn't give enough AP, which AP Jax can greatly use for his kinda awesome AP scaling. Also, Lichbane's proc outdamages triforce's around mid game, as long as you keep buying AP of course. You'll need the AP and the AP scaling proc for bursting people down, that's the job AP Jax can do, and i don't think triforce with its many, but low stats (and high gold cost) will do that much.

In regards to hextech: No it's not too late. Buying it too soon won't grant you any sustain due you not doing that much AP damage, and as it only procs with AP damage, which you can only apply with your abilities which on the other hand cost mana, it's not worth it to buy that early. Maybe after 6, but still, you can't proc your ult without attacks and having low attackspeed without that ramp up, you'll have a hard time doing so with an enemy laner in the way. Trust me, i tried this when i started playing AP Jax. Some pots early game will do wonders.

And last but not least, yes, i should consider flash being THE mainstream summoner spell and people not being familiar with ghost. I had my troubles with flash on AP Jax though (dat 300 secs cd, sigh).

Whats this O.o?

Well but some players that are not too familiar with Jax will messed up Leap Strike sometimes :p even Kha'Zix's Leap will messed up, why wouldn't Jax's? :p

The cooldown from Ghost in comparision to Flash, you silly nugget :P

Of course, that's what makes champs interesting and challenging in the first place, right?
The possibility to screw things up :P
(You can still pop Ghost to escape, too!)
This is what seperates good from bad players and luck from skill :)

AAAAAAAAAAAND YES, i will be updating this guide with some icons soon, don't worry ;)
Thank you :*

Looks okay but its kinda wall of texts :p , you could add some icons like this: though :3

Well the explanation about Flash is not correct, what if you dun have a ward or your trinket is on cooldown? That means you can't escape? O.o Flash is used on 99% of the games except some champs like Hecarim and Nasus that take Ghost more.

Hmm... +1 then I guess :3

Regarding Flash:
I never had a problem escaping anyone from with Ghost or Leap Strike only.
(Only to get bursted by random Ults for example)
Well, i kinda always safe my trinkets for my jump. I buy real wards like a real old school player
lawl :D
Also, minion waves and allied champions are still a factor, too.
With 300 seconds cooldown, i wouldn't count on flash as a main escape tool.
Ap Jax has his jump and a stun already to shake those poopy junglers off.

And, Ghost i found WAY better for chasing and juking enemies in combination with Leap Strike.
210 is also a smaller number then 300 ;)
Guess you'll need to choose for yourself!

Hextech Gunblade isn't a very good item if you are going full AP, the AD would be competly useless as it is your only item that grants that stat (If it's AP Jax there are way more options). I rather go Hybrid Jax, but the rest of the build is good for AP (Putting Hextech Gunblade aside).
Your guide lacks a lot of BBCoding, it isn't very apeeling as it's just a big wall of text :/

Otherwise, I think it could be a good guide because it offers another side of Jax. Keep at it :)

Thank you very much for your feedback :)

Here's my reason why i think Hextech Gunblade is very useful on AP Jax:
- AP Jax needs somekind of sustain to not be forced to constantly backing because of HP issues after small fights. Spellvamp is better on AP Jax than Lifesteal, obviously.
- Hextech Gunblade sure does give AD, but also 20% spellvamp (8% more than Hextech Revolver) and a good chunk of AP.
- The AD is not lost on Jax, since 2 of your abilities scale on AD and you need autos anyway to dish out your main damage (Same goes with the lifesteal!).
- The other spellvamp item, Will of the Ancients, is, in my opinion, not worth it anymore on jax. It gives way to low stats (20% spellvamp, fine, but 50 AP? Like nothing). Jax does scale with AP and AD, so it's not a bad idea to have that too. The CDR would be useful, if you weren't maxed out by CDR with the two items you'll likely are going to get; Nashor's Tooth and Ionian Boots of Lucidity (The active is also really nice on Jax).
- Last but not least, you shouldn't be finishing Hextech Gunblade if you don't need to. You can get Hextech Revolver and then choose when you need to upgrade it. I often upgrade it soon, because in the enemey team, there will likely always be physical damage dealer, and Hextech Gunblade with its 45 AD bonus, does boost your defensive bonus from your ult quite a bit.
I really wouldn't call it "completely useless".

And, yes, this is my first guide evarrr, hence why i'm not good at BBCoding yet...
I'll try to make my guide sweeter soon! :)
