Hi there new friend :D

Hey-O it is BonusSatis, how is it going guys? Today we are going to be looking at Ashe and her best builds. This Ashe build guide will be covering her two mathematically strongest builds, we will be looking at Runes, masteries, arguments for the items chosen and arguments against others
Back to Top

Why should you trust me?

Ok now onto why these items are strong on Ashe and why you should believe me. The best answer is to not ‘believe me’ but actually look at how Riot created the champion and the best DPS items that compliment her kit. That is what I did, so I tested many different items and found two unbeatable builds.

Just a quick note before we start Ashe is a special case, unlike normal ADC’s critical strikes do not increase her damage, it only increases the slow she applies from her passive. So these are builds are not Meta or popular but they are mathematically her ideal builds.

CC Build

Let's look at the first build which does massive crowd control. I Would recommend going with this build if you are going against a bunch of fast moving squishies. With Ashe at lvl 18 the build is cranking out 1442 DPS, or put another way with 5 AA she does 3425 damage. This build gives, 235AD 100% Attack speed 35% Lifesteal, 50%Crit, and 30% Cooldown. Quick note, When showing this build I am using a empty, runes and masteries.

Blade of the Ruined King- Two big points on this go in the favor of Ashe. The unique passive deals 8%of the champions current health as bonus on hit physical damage, for example a 2,250 health Gailo will be taking an additional 180 of additional damage. In short- free damage which Ashe really needs in the early game.

The active is a must on Ashe, she is very slow and needs all the help she can get. With smart cast on it is almost a instant slow that casts faster than her Q, W or AA.

Berserker's Greaves- This is the cheapest ingame attack speed item. It is a must, don't pass it over.

Runaan’s Hurricane- This item turns her Q from a Pew, Pew, Pew, into a PEWPEWPEWPEWPEWPEW. This item is amazing on her, it makes her a arrow storm and a big ‘no-no’ for any neary by quishies.

Bloodthirster- Not only will this item give more lifesteal which means more sustain but it also gives the overcharge shield, so more sustain and it has one of the highest AD stats in the game.

Essence Reaver- The critical strike will increase the slow from Ashes passive, for AD damage there are only a few other items that rank as high and they are already in this build, lastly the unique passive is going to scale off of the critical strike. That means free 30% CDR, so more arrow volleys, hawk shots, and giant frozen arrows for her ultimate.

Lord Domics Regards- This item will help to kill the late game tanks and armor stacking jerkbags of the world. It is going to do additional damage to anyone who has more health than Ashe, and the passive carries over when she uses her Q which when paired with the Hurricane means three arrows being shot out in four volleys which results in dead front liners.

One last note before we move on, for build order go with how I have them listed. Though feel free to go how you would like but with all the play testing I did this order feels the best.

Lethality Build

The second build is meant for focusing a single target. I would recommend going with this build if the other team is bruser heavy or has chunky frontliners. With Ashe at lvl 18 this build is cranking out 1327 DPS said another way with 5 AA she does 3722 damage, so that is almost 300 more than the first build, this is her strongest build in the game. It gives 270AD, 60% Attack Speed, 15% Lifesteal, Zero Critical Strike but 45% Lethality with an additional 45% lethality of BONUS armor.

This build includes the BORK and Berserker's Greaves but we already looked that them so the next item up is the

Ghostblade- This item actually has five different stats on it, AD, CDR, lethality, passive movement speed, and a active movement speed boost. Solid item on ash.

Duskblade of Draktharr- Two of the unique passives are lost: one we can not turn invisible, and two we already have the unique passive from the Ghostblade so, do not stack. The biggest thing it provides is more lethality and AD. Though the Blackout passive is nice, it will passively scan for and show any hidden items like wards or Teemo Mushrooms.

Edge of Night- Again we now have more lethality, it does give some MR which is nice but the unique active is what makes this item amazing, after one and a half seconds we get a spell shield that will block the next enemy ability. It is tight. Trust me this is a bacon saver right here.

The last item is Lord Dominik’s Regards- which we already talked about so there is no need to go over it again.

Like last time the item listing that I have is the build order that I go with, again you can change it up if you have a different build order that is great this is just my suggestion

Bad Items

Ok so that was items that work great on Ashe now for items that are not as good, first up is
Any item which gives you critical strike - So mentioned this earlier, the passive on Ashe removes any critical strike bonus damage that you would normally get with a critical strike. Instead she gets a one second slow. Now I understand how her passive works with increased AD scaling off of her critical strike. Point is that you can bypass it and do more damage with other items. So items in this listing are Infinity Edge, Phantom Dancer, Rapid Fire Cannon, and Statikk Shiv

Runes

If you are going to go with the first build then take these runes, it is my basic AD kit that I take on all ADCs. I did recently up date it but if you have prefered Runes, go for it. Ok so I go with the Mark of attack Damage, the Seal of Armor, the Glyph of Magic Resist, and the Quintessence of Attack Speed. Now like I said if you are going to with the first build take these runes, but if you want to go with the second build then go with this other set of runes.

For the lethality build I go with the Mark of Lethality, the Seal of Attack Speed, the Glyph of Mana, and lastly I take the Quintessence of Lethality.

Masteries

Ok great and last point for this guide is Masteries, I did tailer this page just for Ashe. So here are the ones I picked and the reasons behind it.
I go 18-12 and I take Fresh Blood over Feast because how I play Ashe is is more passive and doing more poke damage in the early game. I will AA once or twice then back off, in a stand up fight Ashe sucks so keeping her mobile and stabby is in line with this masterie.
I take Battle Trance over Double Edged Sword because mid game when Ashe can slow and control the speed of fights it gives her the time she needs to increase her damage output without the increased damage from Double Edged Sword.
Lastly I go with Warlord’s Bloodlust over Fervor of Battle the reason is that Ashe is very hard to play in the early game she does not have any form of escape so the additional healing and speed boosts helps to keep her mobile and alive.
