The weakness in your build is that you end up with no sort of defense in the laning phase, leaving you easily killed by ganks. With a Tiamat you will automatically get push on your lane, even if it's mostly undesired before you get at least 1 tower down.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad build but it does have it weaknesses.
Giving up defense for mp5 runes just ain't worth it.

This will be the + stats (Only Tiamat/Manamune + runes)
Your build: AD, MP5 and some minor health regen.
Suggested build: MR, Armor, MP5, Mana, about the same amount of AD..

I just can't see how you would prefer a Tiamat instead of a Manamune.

My defense is played around the fact that i can spam my skills non stop on the ennemies from level 1 since mana regen is really high. The one i'm laning against is usually not healthy enough to come and help for the gank so it is still somewhat a 1v1 which i can spam a heal a slow and a movement speed for myself to get away. And i didn't use Flash/Exaust.

The pushing part is also meant to happen. It makes farming, for the ennemi player, a whole lot harder as you can poke from a far with your ghouls while he's in his turret. It makes your farming a lot easier too, sprinting you ahead especially if you get the tower down first. It happened a couple of times for me to be the first to get the tower down.

The way i build it also makes the blue useless for me so someone else on the team can have it. With the 3 first items of this build (Tiamat, mercury's thread, spirit visage (worth 5k total)) i can even keep in check 2 players and still push them away to their turret.

Remember that this build is only 13k gold.... if the game takes too long you HAVE to trade some items back or you'll be left behind. So Tiamat ain't really a core item because i usually trade it first if i have money for something like a blood thirster once the build is complete. Trading it back refunds 1450g which is half of it. Pointing out that manamune cost 40g over tiamat so if the game ever gets long you would have to trade it for something better. But then you would lose your sustenance so you would not be able to trade it.

I do agree with you tho that it makes him a bit squishie early but people are usually scared to even get close. And later in the game what is 15 AR/MR? I have my full damage as soon as it's complete and appart for the 14 ad you get over a tiamat you do more damage if you have even only 1 other ennemi nearby which is almost always the case, either pushing or in team fights.

I guess the difference here is in the playstyle. Mine is a bit more agressive, somewhat relying on scare tactics and trying to get the game to end early. While yours is like most of the other builds.

Still i thank you for your time and wish you a good time with Yorick, the gravedigger.

I'm just gonna point out that Yorick with a manamune only get to under 2000 mana. Let's say 2k to make it easier to count....

Tiamat ////////////////////////////////////////////////////Manamune
50 ad /////////////////////////////////////20+40(once fully stacked + base mana)= 60
15 hp regen //////////////////////////////////////////1000k mana once stacked
5 Mana regen ///////////////////////////////////////////7 mana regen
50% aoe damage on basic attack

Let's use only the stats of these 2. If i were to hit a creep, tiamat would do 50 damage, manamune 60 damage before armor. Now let's say there is 2 creeps, tiamat would do 75 damage. already better than manamune. But as you get more items the tiamat is even better. (Pointing out that manamune wouldn't be stacked if i only had a tiamat.)

Full build with the tiamat i get 270 AD so with the manamune i would have 280. Once again if i hit 1 creep i would do 280 damage with manamune, 270 with Tiamat. 2 creeps manamune still does 280 but tiamat would do 405 damage. Quite a difference.

I said creep in the example but how nice do you think it can get in team fights? You might even kill their creeps and push as you kill them.

Also, i know ghouls and skills use ad. Our Q has a .2 ratio. What's 20% of 10? 2. Ghouls use 35% for the 5 seconds they are up. 35% Of 10 is 3.5. Only E has 100% on the first hit which is magic damage which we usually didn't take magic pen anyway.

As a reminder this build is meant to be somewhat cheap for what it gives but if games get longer and i have money for better items tiamat is usually the first item i trade back. You still get 70% of it's worth and you have been able to farm creeps like there is no tomorrow.

Feel free to tell me if this is wrong.

Still i thank you all to have taken the time to read my guide :)

I forgot to add the 350 base mana for manamune that would bring Yorick's mana to be around 2200 meaning 4 more AD... is it worth mentionning?

Well, I tested your build and I have to say it is "okay".

I play Yorick alot and searched for a different build, just to escape the routine. And well, your one was quite interesting and it worked more or less.

But because, as far as I noticed, the Q does not work together with the Tiamat passive, it wasn't that effective, in the long run, the Manamune simply beats Tiamat in overall damage/AD gain (but well, the Tiamat dmg is of course earlier available than the Manamunes one, so in early - mid game, your on advantage with the tiamat).

Mana btw. was no problem, if you take the appropriate runes/masteries and if you use your skills wisely.

Tiamats useless on yorik i agree with Slappiz go Meki Pendant into an early Tear of the Goddess then Spirit Visage then Manamune it works alot better

Slappiz got it right. Tiamat is borderline useless you get to farm all game, which if the other team is any good they will. Other than that it's an ok build

Replace the Tiamat to Manamune (you will end up with more AD, the splash effect really ain't that good on Yorick). Change the seals to flat Armor and the glyphs to flat MR. Start of with a Meki Pendant and 2 health pots.

Hey-presto and you got yourself a strong early-. mid- and lategame build.

I get the point that my guide is pretty much dull to look at. It was my first and i wasn't too sure how everything work so your link will most likely help me.

As for the No mana comment: mana is not a dps stat, you just need it to use your skills. In this build i used mana regen instead of a huge mana pool which ultimately let's me spam my skills without almost ever getting out of mana.

Also telling me to rethink my build without any pointers is kinda hard to do. I already said i like it how it is so for me there is nothing to change unless there is something i didn't think about which you did. So if you would be kind enough to tell me what you would do it might help me improve this build. I also wish you tried the said build before telling me that it wasn't good.

I thank you tho for taking the time to read my guide and giving me the link so i can make my guides more interesting.
