WHO'S THIS SKANK WITH THE SEAWEED ON HER NIPPLES?
A prodigal martial artist, Akali began training with her mother as soon as she could make a fist. Her mother's discipline was relentless and unforgiving, but predicated on the fundamental principle: "We do that which must be done." When the Kinkou inducted her into the order at the age of fourteen, she could slice a dangling chain with a chop of her hand. There was no question - she would succeed her mother as the Fist of Shadow. She has had to do much in this role which others might find morally questionable, but to her it is in service of her mother's inviolable doctrine. She now works with her fellows Shen and Kennen to enforce the balance of Valoran. This hallowed pursuit has unsurprisingly led the triumvirate to the Fields of Justice.

First off, Akali has something called Twin Disciplines. "What the **** is that ****" you ask?

Upon obtaining 9.5 attack damage, Akali gains 10% Spell Vamp, increasing by an additional 1% for every 5 attack damage gained thereafter."
Let's break this down for you so you can fully process that information:
19.5 AP = 10% BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE
AFTER THAT, EVERY 5 AP = 1% BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE
9.5 AD = 10% SPELL VAMP
AFTER THAT, EVERY 5 AD = 1% SPELL VAMP
For those of you who don't understand runes, don't even know they exist, think you're too pro for them...
Calm down grasshopper, I'm getting to that. Runes are those god forsaken things you will never be satisfied with. You'll waste thousands upon thousands of Influence Points (IP) to buy new ones and then once you've finally spent the glorious 9,001 IP you've stolen so many kills for, you'll realize you ****ed everything up.
You want the right runes for your champion. Runes add to your stats and ****: AP, AD, health, cooldown, armor, penetration, blabla. For Akali, you'll mainly get AP & AD runes to activate her passives so you can start out the game feeling like a BAMF.

Why? AD for your passive.
Also, flat AD & AP runes are better than per level for Akali because they can activate your passives at the beginning of the game, which gives you a nice head start.
9x Greater Seal of Vitality
Why? HP because you're probably up against a bunch of tanky ****s who can take down your 5 HP faster than you can take down their 5,000 HP.
Also, I know that Greater Seal of Vitality is by level as opposed to flat health runes, but late game this is extremely helpful when everyone's building health and you're like WELL WHAT THE **** I HAVE LIKE 10 HP.

Why? AP for passive, blablabla, cooldown is cool.

Obviously you don't like reading, and ****, I don't really like typing. Watch this ****:
IMO, this is a really effective item build for Akali, it has worked like a charm for me since I have started using it.
Starting off with
-Get the boots the **** out of your way early game so you're not slow.
Boots of Swiftness give you the most consistent speed.
-
Health Potions will give you more lane time. More lane time = more gold, more experience, more assists, more kills. You should at least stay in your lane until you get your ultimate, then teleport back to your lane's tower.

-"80 Ability Power, 350 Mana, 30 Magic Resist, 7 Movement Speed. UNIQUE Passive: When you use an ability, your next physical attack will deal an additional 100% of your Ability Power in damage. This effect has a 2 second cooldown."

-The more you attack, the more badass you are
-Stacks AP & AD, think of your passives
-Stacks on stacks on stacks
-**** everyone who says this item is worthless
-This is the big daddy, it gives you just about everything Akali thrives on. AD, AP, life steal, spell vamp, etc. Plus it ****s **** up with its active.

Eh, who gives a **** you'll probably disregard my guide and stack 3 deathcaps anyway.

-You get AP/AD with every stack. When your stacks cap for Sword of the Occult, you get +15% movement speed. For Mejai's it's -15% cooldowns.
-Get them late game if you're doing well and you'll make everyone on the opposing team want to throw their computer out of their window.

You want your masteries to fit Akali, whether you choose to make yours identical to the model I made or not. Let me run through some things you want and also some things you do not want out of your masteries:
DO PICK MASTERIES THAT: -Help activate your passives (+AD or +AP) -Add to the effects of your chosen Summoner Spells -Add defense -Give cooldown reduction |

DO NOT PICK MASTERIES THAT: -Are less useful for Akali, like critical strike or attack speed -Provide mana or mana regen.. Akali uses energy, not mana, so these are useless -Add to the effects of unused summoner spells |
Hide in a bush and wait for the rest of your team to lure enemies nearby. They'll attack them thinking you might just help in a team fight. Once your enemies successfully kill all of your team mates, throw your shroud and kill every **********er around. Your team will probably be like "omg noob akali", "wow akali", or my favourite.. "GO **** YOURSELF, WORTHLESS AKALI".
