Introduction
About 5 or 6 weeks later, i had a lot of EP's on my account. For some reason i bought Irelia^^. I think it was because i remebered at this Match. Until then, i play Irelia: often on solo top, but sometimes also as AD-Carry on Botlane. With this Guide i wanna show you how i play Irelia.
Pros
- Nice Farm with Bladesurge
- Nice Lifesteal with Hiten Style and Transcendent Blades
- Very short stuns
- High damage output in early- and midgame
Cons
- Only short stun with Equilibrium Strike and when they got more procentual HP as you.
- Very low Damage in lategame
- Very very very item dependent
- Squishy in early-game

I take usually Teleport and Flash when i go on solo lane, because with Teleport I don't loose to much EXP, and Flash is for better escape :).
Alternative u can replace Flash with Ghost or Exhaust.
U can also replace Teleport with Ghost because Teleport isn't very usefull in lategame. From time to time Ignite is also very usefull, but i don't take it very often.

My itembuild up there is designed for the case u get 2 or more AP's in the enemy Team. When there are 3-5 AP's in the enemy team u shouldn't Frozen Mallet. Replace it with a Banshee's Veil.
_________________________________________________________________________________________
Differences:
- Frozen Mallet Gives a lot more of Health. You will also get 20 Attack damage when u will buy that item. Also a very nice special effect is the slow.
- Banshee's Veil Gives not so much Health like Frozen Mallet, but still a little bit. It also gives Magic resistance and Mana. The very very usefull special effect is the shield, who blocks the next spell. This can make the game really hard for enemy AP's.

Here in this chapter i wanna describe you the spells, which u can use with Irelia:
Her Passive Ionian Fervor is one of the most usefull in the whole game: Per champ who stand near of you, it reduces the duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, snares, and roots. Wanna say: 1 Champ: 10%, 2 Champs: 20%, 3 Champs: 30%. So, Thumps up for that really nice spell ;).
Bladesurge is your best farming skill. A better description will be in the next chapter.
Hiten Style is also a very usefull skill. It gives you a nice lifesteal, but not a normal lifesteal. It is a fixed lifesteal, who gives you pro level: 10/14/18/22/26 lifesteal. With your attackspeed, you can gain a lot more as without. Because that, u should buy Zeal. Thumps up for that awesome skill ;).
To be honest, Equilibrium Strike is useless. It isnt very usefull in teamfights or in solofights. It does stun the enemy only, when he's lower Health than you. When he's not, it slows him only for a short time. So Thumps Down for that skill.
Transcendent Blades, her ultimate spell, is very usefull on the lane, how also in teamfights. Particularly when u hit all the enemys. It gives you a a little Health bonus and damages all the enemys which u hit.

In this chapter i wanna show you wich skills you use to farm in solo top, and how to play in Teamfights.
Farming
You skill first on Hiten Style, because you will gain a nice lifesteal when you will get harrassed at the beginning. At lvl 2 u can start with the real farming: The Cooldown from Bladesurge will set back when u get a lasthit. U will also get a little bit mana back. I recommend you to lasthit only minions with Bladesurge when u see you don't can take him with autohits. To take the enemy solo laner out, jump from time to time on him with Bladesurge and then stun him with Equilibrium Strike.
Teamfights
With your skills you aren't not really prepared to go on more than one target. Only your skill Transcendent Blades u can hit more Targets than one . You should activate Hiten Style when the teamfights begins. Then jump on a Target (best Support, AD Carry, or AP) and stun him with our "nice" Equilibrium Strike. Activate your ulitmate when you see you can hit more than one Target. Means: W>Q>E>R>Q>E>W or anything like that ;D.
