...Anyways ill be showing you MY way of playing Caitlyn

Neikolyn is a long range DPS character
Abusing her 650 range (or so) you can be a powerful force to be reckoned with, even when they're 5 kilometers away from you.

I'll show you how to properly do this, again, MY way.

Armor pen to dish out a lot of dmg, making harass on early game way more easier.
Mana regen PL glyphs so keep this mana-hungry bi...girl satisfied most of the time
Moar armor pen and ofc, Health seals so that you don't need to worry about survability that much. (You'll be out of their range most of the time, but it is still necessary to makes those 50 hp escapes possible)

Start with Doran's blade and 1 health potion so you can deal some extra dmg with some survability at the same time.
Get boots, and switch to swiftness when possible, buying wards whenever necessary. (ALWAYS ward river if you're side laning, or blue if that sob Udyr stole our blue buff)
Get a zeal, a vampiric scepter for those hard 1v1s (which SHOULD be avoided [remember to always stick to your team when possible]). Grab that zeal and make a phantom dancer with it, then if you're going good, get the BT first so you can start to get some stacks ASAP. If you're not doing too well, get the black cleaver first and BT later.

You can start by harassing at lvl 1, but REAL harassing starts at 3 when you get your Q
Getting E first its just for escaping or pursuing if som1 couldnt stand your passive at those first 20 seconds. Also, but some traps on the bush. But don't waste all of your mana on that! You'll need it to use Q frecuently.

Ghost

This is the spell you want, for those ********ed runners (you usually won't need it to escape since you have your E and W) plus its another reason to not to get Youmuu


Clairvoyance

I pick this one because its a good support spell. It also helps you to ult and snipe ppl easier. You won't have the mastery though, but that's no biggy.

Clarity

No. Its enough with the runes and you shouldn't be mana starving yourself either.

Smite

You are no jungler...wait...are you?
Should test it.
Even so, you won't be jungling with this build anyways.

Heal

Im against the use of this spells unless you're doing Twisted Treeline
And i doubt so.

Cleanse

Maybe...why not
up to you
you won't be in range of CC anyways (most of the time)

Exhaust

Again, you won't really be in range to exhaust
Keep them away with your W and E. that's the way to play.

Ignite

Same as exhaust.
It's up to you, i say no to both

Something i see from people is they last hit when inside the brush.
Don't do this. Go out of it, last hit, and then go back
Because
1.- You won't get minion aggro, and
2.- You'll keep the stealth from brush

Obviously, when on a fight, try to get inside it to use you're passive effectively.
