I probably should, good point. I thought putting just the general rune names up was good enough for now, at least until I edit it again. I do use tier 3. xD

I do see how Ghostblade is more for melee, I just had a buddy refer it to me and tried it out for a while, but eventually, I skipped the Ghostblade all-together and I eventually sell Brute to make room for another damage item, depending on how the fight is going. It seems that if I have at least two other cooperating (not necessarily rated-game skilled) teammates) Caitlyn can turn the tides of battle fairly quick just being able to two-four-shot squishier champs and help CC tanks and off-tanks.

If the other team is good, and is feeding off of my teammates, there's little hope for the game in any case, no matter if I have defense or not. Although I have carried games where the enemy was pretty fed and have been able to build somewhat of an anti-carry carry, but that's what makes this game so interesting. Every situation is different. Just tipping the scales in my favor. :P

Hexdrinker is a good remedy against random Karthus ults, and perhaps Lux/ Ezreal/ Ashe/ Gangplank ults, but for the rest it's not so great.

Youmuu's is more for the melee AD carries such as Yi or Tryn.

You'll need either tenacity, or defense, playing without at least one of them really sucks if their team is even remotely good :P

By the way, just noticed you should write "Greater" in front of all of your runes, now I think you use tier 2 runes and no one wants to do that xD

Ah, and there does lie a problem. I did use Mercury's Treads for a while, and I mentioned it above in the build to give you some much-needed tenacity. I don't believe it's all in the build, though, I have not considered Cloak and Dagger. I'll have to experiment with it to see where that might fit in there. It's a good piece. What I used to do was make my last item Hexdrinker and actually build Youmuu's Ghostblade, but I find it not as useful. :<

There is just one problem: CC. If you are stunned, you are instantly dead :D Perhaps consider Cloak and Dagger or preferably Mercury's Treads ;)

Yeah, I'm working on it. It's a build I've had for a while, and while I've tried a lot, this is the best for me personally. This might not suit other peoples' play-style, or more, those who seem to want to get right into the action. There are a variety of defensive items for Caitlyn, but for me, I find it best to blast people down before they can kill me. Perhaps an unorthodox approach, but as I find, an effective one.

The way I see it, since there's no use in taking just one item to boost Caitlyn's health, armor, magic resistance etc, where I'm not going to stack it with other items, against a well-rounded team, it only prolongs the inevitable when the scales aren't tipped in your favor. With this more offensive take, you can really try to be as evasive and do as much damage as you can before someone decides to focus you down.

It's a decent build, you should however take some sort of defensive item to replace either Last Whisper or Black Cleaver in your cheat sheet. The items in the cheat sheet are those you use mostly, you can add other items you occasionally buy in your guide.

That said, I think you can explain about your rune, mastery and summoner spells choices as well as situational items. That would improve your guide so much =)

It works fine for me. I didn't link items or abilities, and intentionally bracketed them for emphasis, but thank you for the tip on linking.

This is also my first guide. Didn't get too fancy with it. xD

Hi there!

I noticed that your BBCoding doesn't work - if you click the first link in my signature, you will find a guide that will explain you why. Good luck ^^
