Hey everyone, MikenIkey here. I've given this some thought, and I feel it's for the better. At the end of Monday, I will be Archiving the guide. I am making too many changes as it is, and I don't have the time currently to constantly be updating this. What I will be doing is a complete revitalization of the guide, changing both information throughout and making it much more clear, concise, and more solid. I will also be changing around coding stuff in order to make it look better. I think all of these changes should take 3-7 days to change and implement.

That said, I appreciate everyone's feedback, since most of it was very thorough and detailed. If you would like a notice on when the reworked guide is up, simply send me a PM and I will make sure to message you when it is up and ready for review.

I would like to thank everyone for understanding and for your overall support and information given to me. I wish you all the best and hope you have a great time playing Lissandra. If there is anything else you want me to know, just PM me or comment. That's it for now.

Keep playing and never stop having fun.

Great guide, explains a lot and brings many options.

What do you think about Ionian Boots of Lucidity instead of Sorcerer's Shoes?
Combined with Athene's Unholy Grail and Sorcery, it gives you 39% CDR and you would be able to pick something more offensive instead of Morellonomicon, like Void Staff.
This way you would have more damage late game and lower cooldowns early/mid.
I see you already suggested Void Staff in this build, but i just don't like Morellonomicon if you're not laning against someome with high sustain.

I would agree with you that that is a viable trade. You are trading magic penetration for magic penetration. Only thing is that damage output could possibly go slightly down, since Sorc boots have flat magic pen. while Void Staff is percentage.

I'd recommend taking a look at this in regards to Liandry's Torment. I'm actually still considering just what it means in regards to how I build, but it might give you a some food for thought.

[edited] I also have a few thoughts of my own. Just fiddling around with some numbers in excel, I've found Guise to be a nice early item to follow chalice and precede Deathcap and boots2, assuming roaming does not necessitate an earlier boots2. It can be built into Liandry's when appropriate. At least, from a damage perspective. The health bonus is quite nice to keep you alive in ganks and kill attempts. It's not as bulky as, say, a catalyst, but if you do not feel the need to build RoA, it does the trick. Not entirely sure whether the mpen from guise will pull it ahead of RoA, but Torment is superior in terms of damage to RoA, meaning that livability and sustain is the main consideration for RoA when I'm building.

The maths article I linked compares the Torment to a Void Staff, which is what I was referring to when I said I was still digesting it. Lissandra's burst doesn't strike me as massively impressive, or at least, her sustained damage while maintaining CC/peel is a key part of her damage output, so I believe the sustained output from Torment could actually make it a contender to replace Void Staff unless facing a high MR low HP team. Of course, they are very nice together if they are not replacing a necessary defensive item.

Finally, I disagree with your arguments dismissing Torment's value in terms of the CC double-up. While it's true you will not be making the greatest use of it while harassing in lane, the Torment need not be completed while in lane. Furthermore, I'd much rather have a greater deal of damage in team fights, where I will be landing Qs on the enemy along with R and Ws, than as harass in lane. The damage seems much more valuable then.

Hopefully this gives your some food for thought and I look forwards to your response. I personally feel that Torment is a very strong item on Lissandra, but at the very least, I would urge you to add it as an item to be considered against HP stacking teams. Especially given that such a situation should make the torment a superior choice to Void Staff as an offensive item.

Thy sins
1. Perseverance and Juggernaut
2. Overdose amount of example builds
3. Stats, a completely useless chapter
4. Why do you explain the same runes twice? Again useless information
5. Ghost -> "Summoner spell to replace: Flash" wouldn't it be much better if you said that you can choose? Because I am sure ghost + flash works aswell. Also: "Summoner spell to replace: Ignite when laning, Smite when jungling." Always take smite as jungler, no exeptions. Oh, and Clarity is in the viable list, but Barrier is not. I am sure that Barrier is better than Clarity for anyone really.
6. What about a lane phase chapter?

Thy blessing
1. Comment to vote
2. Well structured cheatsheet
3. Decent build overal
4. Banners
5. Good use of coding + structure

There are some useless fillers in your guide. Simply remove them, they add nothing to the guide.
I've got a lot of questions about your summoner spells chapter, mainly because your recommendations are quite strange.

And finally, you add tactics about everything except the laning phase, which should be in there aswell.
Have fun :D

Thank you Meiyjhe, always happy to hear from you. First thing, the lane phases, I am currently writing that section and it should be up later today.

For Runes and Summoner spells, I am also going through those sections and removing redundancies. With Barrier and Clarity, again, another change I haven't had time to implement but haven't had the time to do so.

For the example builds, I have had some people tell me they like them and others that don't, so I will probably keep them. The same goes for the Stats section. I feel like it's better to have too much information than too little.

And finally, I've had so many comments about itemization and whatnot, so I've focused more time there. Now that I feel like it's pretty sufficient and isn't in need of a major overhaul, the next area of focus is the Summoner Spells area.

As always, I enjoy your reviews and hope you can give an updated one later when I implement the changes (though it may not happen for a bit since rather busy so if you want I can message you.)

I've been testing this build, and I found that the Flat mana Regen seals are much better than the Armor Seals. Starting Mid with those 9 Mana Regen Seals, plus the Mana Regen masterie, and 2 Mana Regen Pendants just pretty much allows us to spam almost to our hearts content our Q.

Another thing that I found better is the Speed 3 Boots rather than the Sorc ones. Reasoning is pretty simple but large. Lissandra has overall pretty low health, and an even worse movement speed. This boots really help a lot against skillshot champs, and most importantly to land our very short ranged Q and R when in pursuit to allow us to land E. I've lost count of how many times other champs have escaped me because of Sorc Boots being overwhelmingly slow in an already slow champion. Besides all our skills require good positioning to make the most out of them. This is specially important on Glacial Path where the opponent can see were we're going and just turn around. With T3 Speed boots we'll get to them unless they jump into the tower. T3 is also great to catch up with fleeing opponents to land our R, reach them with a Q and then land our W into another Q. All in all I really think T3 Boots are much better compared to Sorc ones in Lissandra. The damage output we're losing is greatly surpassed by the fact that none shall escape us, and we are much harder to kill.

I would have to agree with sirell, it was very questionable.

I'm sorry, that doesn't really make sense. If you noticed, I gave an explanation to sirell about the utility tree and why you should take what, and then added it to the masteries section. And if you also noticed, sirell stated that it "sounded agreeable," in which case I'm not sure how you can be agreeing with sirell on this if that answer also wasn't sufficient for you?

He explained it very good and clearly distincted the offensive and the defensive gameplay.
If you play defensive and steady u can take advantage from her passive, but if u play aggressive u will loose a lot of mana in early game
