Introductions

Corki is one of the hardest range AD champions to master in my experience because he can mainly be out-ranged by other range AD champions like Caitlyn or Tristana. Sure he has no Crowd Control, but he can do ALOT of burst damage mid-game to late game if he is protected by your supports and tanks. I shall be explaining each of the different areas of Corki's role early game, mid-game, and late game.

Runes

With this rune set up, I'll always have mana to harass / clear minion waves with my Missle Barrages and Phosphorus Bombs.

Greater Quintessence of Strength: This gives me early damage (around 70+ with a Doran's Blade) to proc with my passive in order to burst down my enemy.

Greater Mark of DesolationGreater Mark of Desolation: This will be useful in the long run, but it's nice to have it in your rune set up so that you won't have to pick up a Last Whisper and to just go straight for some Damage / Crit.

Greater Seal of Resilience: This will be useful if you are bot lane with a support because if you are against another range AD champion, you will be able to take less harass from them. (You will be WEAK if you are against an AP Caster)

Greater Glyph of Clarity: Like I said before, this keeps my mana up so that I can harass or clear minion waves. Do NOTspam your skills because it takes awhile to regenerate your mana back up.

Masteries

I prefer 21/9/0 than 21/0/9 because I like to have that early Magic Resist and Armor to sustain in lane in order to keep on farming. If you prefer early levels over sustainability, go ahead and do 21/0/9. Picking up will give me some burst damage early game and to sustain in lane.

Abilities

Corki's basic attacks deal 10% additional true damage to minions, monsters, and champions.

This is one of the best passives for a Range AD carry because true damage can burst down most champions including tanks once you get some damage to proc with it.

Deals 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+50% of ability power) damage to enemies in a target area. In addition, the blast briefly reveals the nearby area.

This is a great skill to harass your enemy / clear creep waves with Missle Barrage.

Corki surges to target location creating a trail of destruction that deals 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+40% of ability power) damage per second for 5 seconds to enemies in the fire left along his path.

An amazing escape ability, similar to that of Tristana. If you time your correctly when , , etc. use their ult on you, you should be able to get out of their ult/initiation (damage is still dealt).

Corki's gatling gun fires at all targets in front of him for 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 4.5 / 5 seconds, dealing a 20% of his total damage and shredding 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 armor with each shot. The armor reduction persists as long as the enemy is under continuous fire.

Not only does Gatling Gun do damage for each bullet, but also SHREDS the enemy's armor (making it useful to kill tanks easily in team fights).

Corki fires a missile towards his targeted location that will collide with the first enemy it hits. Each missile deals 120 / 190 / 260 (+30% of ability power) and (20% of attack damage) area magic damage.
Corki stores one missile every 10 seconds up to 7 missiles at any given time. Every 4th missile will be a Big One, dealing 50% more damage than normal missiles with 100% splash damage. After dying, Corki will respawn with 4 missiles.

A great skill to poke when you are waiting for your team to initiate because it would be in your favor when the team fight starts (5v5, your full HP team vs their almost Half HP team)

Skill Sequence

I like to max out first to proc with your to clear minion waves and do some burst damage.

is maxed out second to proc with / and shreds ALOT of armor to tanks mid-game.

maxed out last because you do not need to reduce the cooldown / do damage with it; mainly use for an ESCAPE mechanism.

Summoner Spells

A very nice spell to use because it gives you 2 escape mechanisms (including ) and can be useful to catch up to enemies that are far in your range after you have used .

A great summoner spell because it allows to shut down their AD carries, 1v1 better, or catch up to an enemy.

OTHER Summoner Spells:

Should be taken for first timers / starting to learn Corki; if that's the case, REPLACE with this. It's not that bad of a summoner, but 2 escape mechanisms is all you need.

Great for getting early First Blood / getting that low-HP kill, but you can easily be shut down if you lane against someone with an .

Early Game to Late Game

EARLY GAME - FARMING is really important for Corki because he's going to be useless mid-late game. Just make sure to last hit those minions and harass every now and then, but don't waste most of your mana. Once you reach level 4-6, you can start doing some damage if your duo-lane bot has a CC; mid should be pretty out-zoned. Here's a trick with Corki; when the enemy tries to last hit, go up to them and auto-attack him/her and try to out-zone them with your Phosphorus Bombs and Missile Barrages.

MID GAME - In all, nothing really happens; a few team fights here and there, but keep on farming in any open lane. Keep dragon warded and use to check the Dragon area to see if it's still their (if your on blue side). Your should be finished by now and ask your jungler if you can have Red Buff because Corki with red buff is DEVASTATING.

LATE GAME - This is where you shine if you have at least ( OR ) and . Ward Baron and stay in the back every team fight. Be sure to let your team know who to focus, keep you protected, or you're about to split push.

Team Fights

As Corki, you want to be in the back auto-attacking as well as spamming your and . Make sure your is used to shred their team (hits almost every enemy) as it is a long cool-down so be sure to use it wisely.

As for , use it for only GETTING AWAY or CATCHING UP to the people who are LOW (not like 2-3+ still up fighting and your the only one chasing their low-HP champion). You always need to be with your team and never LEAVE them as you are their main damage (other than your AP caster, but that isn't enough).

Summary

In all, Corki is a really fun champion to play once you get to know the basic concept of how to play him. Don't be disappointed after your first few tries with himl; or can out-range you, but Corki's true damage makes up for that. You just need to know when to be aggressive or not. Good luck out there summoners!
