Why these items
Boots allow you to catch anyone on low health after using valkyrie.
Purchasing a phage and trinity force allows mass amount of damage and increasing your ulti's use.
Infinity Edge and Last Whisper help you get that critical hit and Melt through the enemy's armour.
Now the last two items are both ap. Why? you ask, All Corki's abilities apart from Gattling Gun use ap. Getting a lich bane adds an imense amount of damage to corki's abilities, The Lich Bane's passive allows corki to burst enemies with an immense amount of damage out with his trinity force and last whisper. The Rabadons adds extra ap to your Attacks increasing Corki's burst.
