Darius has been one of the most OP top laners in League of Legends since his addition to the game. Even with nerfs with previous patches, he still remains as a go to top lane champion for many a gamer due to his uncomplicated kit and low risk playstyle.

The runes I have chosen for this Darius build are quite standard for AD off tanks as they provide the necessary armour and MR for laning whist giving him some AD for early game fights. I have chosen the flat AD marks over the scaling AD marks as I feel that the early game damage bonus will allow you to get early kills and therefore faster items.

Taking the keystone mastery Grasp of the Undying allows you to out sustain your opponents and is very helpful in prolonged fights. The mastery Oppressor in the Ferocity Tree also gels with his kit as his W is a slow.

-Max Q first for good amount of poke/sustain along with easier wave clear.
-Make sure to use your full combo with auto attacks for max damage on your ult.
-Darius can run out of mana quickly if you spam his abilities, be careful of that.
-When trading with your lane opponent, use E first to pull them in then W. If they try to run, Q for max range (max damage) and if they try to counter attack, let them then Q to restore the health you lost. This allows for almost perfect trading every time.

-Use your Q to farm minions if trying to clear fast
-Your W resets the aa timer and refunds mana cost if used to kill a unit (last hit the cs)
-Your E will pull all units in its range so last hitting whilst trading is possible

Even though you are not building tanky, you are still the front line. Try to coordinate with your team before fights as you initiating could lead to a 1 vs 5 if not followed up with burst from your AP casters and AD carries.
