Good Luck dodging his pull. Stand behind minions. Don't try to poke unless you're next to TWO minions. If it's a good Blitzcrank, be passive and make sure your jungler assists you.
Introduction

Greetings Summoners, and Welcome to my first MOBAfire guide! I'm honored to educated my fellow musicians on my effective way to play Sona, Maven of the Strings. First thing that you should take into consideration is that this is not your ordinary guide and I worked hard to make sure it is updated and is in it's highest quality as my BBCODE experience expands. Oh, and I have to credit my best friends and BBCode Master: JhoiJhoi. Please vote, comment, and share. Enjoy!
ACTIVATE: CONCUSSIVE
It is me that they want to be. Spooky Ghost in the brush; Call it hide and seek. Cause I'm the best rapper on the Rift and with my Song of Celerity, I'm really swift. Don't try to be me, I'm one of a kind. When I buy my Lich Bane, they're gonna cry, gonna hide, gonna die. To ya Nexus, you better say "bye." But don't worry, you'll see in time, enjoy the guide, and let these Concussive Rhymes control your mind!

Who Is Sona?
Sona is a ranged, mana-based, poke-support. She can be built as a mage too and is often described as a "low-skill champion". Most of which is accurate BUT most descriptions leave out the fact that without near-flawless positioning, just about any damage-based champion—fed or not—can obliterate her health bar.

Summoner Spells

Flash: Take this on her 100% of the time. Don't fail flash cause you will need to safe it for
+
combo.

Sona has strong poke early game and can drop enemies quickly. I take this every game where I want to try to get an early kill to snowball my team.

Take this to immobilize high priority targets such as assassins and high burst mages. This is also very good versus engage lanes.

This is your only source of damage other than your passive and ult. Max it. Also, as soon as you spawn. You want to Q once if you're leashing your jungler or twice if top is going to leash them. Your Staccato Power Chord does the most damage out of all the others.
This spell will make you go OOM in three casts. With the removal of Mana potions you need to use this carefully. Your Diminuendo Power Chord reduces enemy damage. If your ADC is dueling an assassin or high burst mage you probably should use this.
Take this at either level 4 if you are getting camped or at level 8 if you want to invest in early damage. It's percentages increase by one percent every level so it's not the best haste and it requires hundreds of AP to be useful. The Tempo Power Chord also slows enemies. So if you simply need to peel someone off yourself or your carries. You should Q>W>E Auto then use the movement speed from the E to get away.
This is your ultimate. It costs 100 Mana and has 1000 Range. It has a moderate cooldown so use it wisely. Make sure to hit everyone with it in a teamfight. NOTE: You do not gain a stack of your passive when casting this spell.

- Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration: Increases spell damage and passive damage for extra poke early game
Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction: To reach the CDR cap without items
Greater Seal of Scaling Health: To gradually increase the amount of health that you have thus making you more durable
Greater Quintessence of Scaling Cooldown Reduction: To reach the CDR cap without items
Greater Quintessence of Armor: To not get one-shotted by their ADC
