Elise is a great solo top champ because u can harras the enemy all the time.
I think she is a O.k. mid champ but she doesnt have enough range for mid.

9x Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Really good for ur q because at begin it isnt doing more dmg at more ap

9x Greater Seal of Armor
Some armor vs ad top champs.

For magic damage

9x Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Some mr

3x Greater Quintessence of Ability Power

I prefer 21/9/0 for some tankyness and damage.

First u buy Boots and some Health Potion + Mana Potion.
Then u go for a Catalyst the Protector and Sorcerer's Shoes.
After this u buy a Rod of Ages --> tankyness sustain and damage.
Then absyal scepter for some more mr and damage.
Rylairs for the slow tankiness and ap.
Rabadons --> damage.
And after this all items u can choose between void staff, zhonyas, deathfire grasp and athenes. It depends on your situation.

First u max ur Neurotoxin / Venomous Bite and spam it on opponent while in human form and after q ur w because of the sustain of spider form and the damage as human.

I take Ignite and Flash.
Ignite is rly good.
2 reasons
Good vs Dr. Mundo and Volibear --> live regen skill
And good aggainst all tanky champs because of true damage. And most time top is tanky.

Last hitting with elise is sometimes hard because of the low ad try it with q sometimes.
If u want to push go into spider form and press w.

The spider skill e make it impossible to tower dive u + human stun.
