Pros / Cons

Pros:

* He's capable to gank almost every hero in the game.
* He's fairly easy champion to get used to, and to play if your a beginner at League of Legends!
* He also got one of the most powerful ultimates in the game in my opinion.
* He got a great setup of crowd control (cc) abilities.
* Able to have one of the best Self healing ingame.
* An awesome middler.

Cons:

* He's pretty squishy.
* Often get focused in teamfights somehow since he's squishy and got ****loads of damage
* Bad creepfarmer start and mid game, decent late game.
* Low mana pool at start game.

Runes

Moving on to the runes.
This is my choice of runes, you might think diffrently.

Greater Mark ofSince fiddlesticks abilities only use 50% or 45% of ability power spell penetration is a necessity.

Greater Seal of Replenishment Fiddlesticks's spells can be quite expensive at times. Often having to return to base for lack of mana even at late game. These runes help to counter that and keep you out at the lane longer.

I use thoose runes to boost my Ability Power slightly, especially great in early game.

Choosing some more magic penetration here, since i don't really need the boost of ability power here.

Masteries

On to the masteries.. Nothing special here really.

The masteries I've chose are quite standard build, with 21 from the Utility tree and 9 from the Offense tree. To gather some cooldown reduction, some spell vamp and some other useful buffs such as movement speed, upgraded ghost (if you use this Summoner Spell).

Items

Now let's move on to the fun part... Item Selection!

I pick this item early game for the boost of your ability power, aswell as the spell vamp, wich will increase your life drained by your ability.

Second up i upgrade my Boots of Speed for Sorcerer's Shoes for the magic penetration buff, and ofcourse faster movement speed.

Now it's time for the Fiendish Codex. This one i choose of by saving up for the upgrade and get the ability power buff, mana regen to stay at your lane for a longer time, and aswell the cooldown reduction by 10% while waiting for the upgrade.

Now it's time to upgrade your Fiendish Codex, to simply increase the stats some.

Next up is the Rabadon's Deathcap, wich i choose for the great ability power boost.

I choose this item for some more ability power and health for staying alive longer since fiddlesticks are pretty squishy. But the passive effect of this item are pretty useful when for example draining them, they will be drained for a longer time then normal. Also when you are escaping a fight or chasing, it could be great to slow them down slightly with your .

Last but not least, the Zhonya's Hourglass. This item boosts your ability power slightly, aswell as the armor wich increase your survive possibility. But don't forget the activation buff, with makes you untargetable and also invulnerable for 2 seconds, great in the hard times or teamganks.

Skill Sequence

The skill sequence are fairly simple.

Since i'm almost allways fighting the middle lane, i like to start of by picking , becuase this is the main source of your damage untill you'll get your ultimate.

The second spell choose would be , to be able to drain more of your enemy's health.

Third spell ahead are upgrading the for more damage.

Fourth would be by holding your skills quite even trough the levels, and also to silence your enemy(s).

At level five, i like to upgrade my for longer fear, wich resaults in more damage done.

And at level six, the ability you should choose is quite obvious as it is ulti time!

After this i'm allways trying to upgrade my drain as often as possible, but also remember to keep terrify and dark storm up. Keep them kind of even with the levels.

Summoner Spells

Okay now on to the last step: Summoner Spells.

This is really up to you, and choose by your playstyle.

But in my opinion is a MUST for escape ofcourse, but mostly for the ultimate, when you are able to Flash straight into the enemy(s).

And i like to have for the chance to escape or chase for the killing blow.
