Threats & Synergies
Always ban blitzcrank. If you end up going against an enemy sup blitz you better hope you can dodge like your life depends on it. Due to early game fiddle being super squishy: once blitz hits level 2 he can all in you and end up leaving bottom with no support. His hook onto his knock up will leave no room for you to use your fear or get help from your adc. Always ban blitz.
Morgana is a major threat when it comes to her stun abilities. Although slower thank blitz, if you get caught in her stun you have no room to escape with both her and her adc collapsing on top of you. Due to the distance of her stun as well, there is no room for you to use your fear. I don't ban morgana but I do play more in the rear and try to predict her stun abilities.
Nautilus' sort of hook can be killer when it comes to keeping you out of lane. If he makes his throw he will stun you for a split second, allowing him to get some damage off before you can fear him as well as the enemy adc can all in on you. His threat isn't crazy but if you keep your eyes open and predict his throws: he can be easily beaten.
Thresh's hook followed by a whip can put you in a bad spot sometimes. Often you will just take some damage and be off scott free as the enemy adc wont want to all in with such little stuns and if your adc is present. If you are alone in lane then just play it safe and try to keep minions between you and thresh.
Pyke can be a killer if he catches you with the hook followed up by the stun. His stun range can be dodged if quick enough but will often still get you even if you think you made it out of it. To combat this just try to keep minions between you and him as well as play it safe if you're alone in lane. If your adc is around and he all ins you: simply fear him back towards you adc and get a free kill.
Trundle won't often be a bother but can be if he happens to gank your lane, for whatever reason. Most often with his pillar you will get blocked off from escaping to tower. Try to save your fear for when he does this to allow time for you and your adc to go around the pillar and back to tower. If need be, try to silence him and exhaust him to allow your adc to get away.
Neeko's stuns followed up by her splash ability can leave you dead quicker than you expect. Fiddle early game is super squishy and won't last a minute with her if she is in the support role or if she happens to gank your lane. You need to keep your eyes open for her stun ability and try to predict it. She would be a major issue if she had more mana and didn't guzzle what little she has early game before you've built up health and ap.
Garen is very scary if you come face to face with him alone. You might try and fear him away but that doesn't stop the spin moves he's got. He can also follow up with a dash to catch back up to you after you've feared him. If stuck with a garen, first try to flee without using your fear until he uses his Q. Once done, fear as well as exhaust him to avoid confrontation.
Darius is only a little threat when it comes to early game and somewhat of a threat in late game. With his pull and his healing abilities: you'll need someone else to finish him while you distract him. Remember: your fear doesn't stop an already casted spin. Wait till he has used his hook and spin before you fear him to get away. Use exhaust if he still chases before he can get his hook back up.
Lux's stun followed by her ult will easily melt you and your teammate. You need to be building MR as well as health early on if she gets fed.
With an ADC aphelios, that knows somewhat how to use the champ, can be an easy win for bot lane and hopefully mid/late game. This synergy would be ideal if aphelios wouldn't be in the minority people that know how to play him. He does good damage early on that, teamed with your fear & silence, can get bot lane easy kills and free dragons.
With an ADC ashe you are going to need to know how to time your fears. Getting behind the enemy and fearing them back into your ashe will lead to an easy kill but requires more skill on your part to pull off. You can also simply fear them in normal situations and ash can turn to melt them to get them to back off. Playing duos with two easy champs would be complete domination of bot lane.
With an ADC caitlyn you are almost assured victory in bot lane. With her traps as well as her high damage ratios: you can easily stun multiple enemies as well as slowly drain health to allow her to simply ult for the kill.
With an ADC ezreal you are in for complete CC in the bot lane. If you can pull of a fear followed by ez's stun, or vise versa, you can easily get kills early on to lead to a good mid/late game.
With an ADC Jinx you are gonna have your hands full. Jinx is a higher damage character early on. If you time it right as well as Jinx is paying attention: kills are possible without going all in early on.
With a ADC jhin, you might have some troubles but not much. Jhin does have a stun that can lead to you getting a fear off to a free kill but that may be few and far between. You need your Jhin to be all in for kills to allow you to get close to fear them.
With a jungle wukong you are in for good mid/end game fights. Early on you can push up lane quickly with your E and W to get wukong the free dragon. Late games you can usually ult onto a team before or after a wukon ult to clean up or assist in the penta.
With a jungle kayn, that knows what they're actually doing, you are able to completely wipe the board bot side. Kayn is good when it comes to ganks as his W will slow them to allow you to fear which will lead to a free kill. He is also good at soloing dragon and rift herald if you keep attention on your lane.
Yeah Brand is okay I guess
Champion Build Guide
I used to play fiddle a while back with his old abilities in the jungle and later on in support role. I abandoned the champion as he just wasn't cutting it anymore in a tank support era as well as I wanted to get back into jungle. Once his rework came out, I wanted to give him a try again in the bot lane.
Since I have won about 59% of my games with an average of 4/6/12 with average 45% kill participation (20 low/78 high). Few quadra kills, lots of MVPs, some aces, and some doubles. I'd like to say I'm good but that is in the eyes of the beholder. I am just here to spread what I have learned with good old fiddle.
Your goal early game is to get between you and the enemy. You want to fear them so that they either go towards your adc or just away from their tower in general. Doing so can assist your ADC in either getting a free kill or having the enemy burn their summoners.
Using your E to assign your adc in clearing waves will allow you to keep the waves pushed up in lane to allow your jungle to take dragon with little to no resistance.
Your second objective when it comes to playing fiddle is vision score. My usual vision score is often above 100 (even in losing games). You want to be playing your trinkets in river and sometimes bot bush to possible get enemy champions to waste mana or summoners when pushing up your lane. Buying your support item as well as pinks you can easily maintain vision of bot lane & dragon. I hope you understand the importance of vision but that has to double when it comes to fiddle as he won't stand a chance if you keep getting ganked while blind.
Once you've finally gotten your ult up, it is your time to shine. You can use it to gank your own lane from alcove or even parts of the jungle. You can use it to push back enemies coming under any tower and possibly get a free kill out of it. Or just simply use it to clear minion waves in lanes that are pushed up.
With so many uses for your ult and the need to keep your fear ready: your main build path relies on CR. With low cooldowns you are able to gank often as well as get out of those ganks if things go bad.
Your early items will help you build AP as well as CR to allow you to do what you need to do early on. Your mid game items depend on who your opponents are. I often end up building Banshee's Veil for the AP as well as MR. In more AD situations, Guardian Angle can help you.
As you get into late game, your goal is to lure in the enemy team on a few team members that seem to be alone or outnumbered and to ult down onto them. If your allies are quick: they will spot you ulting and come back into the fight, often sweeping the team. In other situations: your teammates are really up to standard and just leave you to die. In this situation, you need to move back towards where your team is and hope no one can get a stun or pull off you. If this happens: you can try to zhonya and wait for your team but you will most likely end up dying.
Fiddle is a very broken champion if your teammates know how to play with you and sweep the team while you are trying to get them the kill.
