+ Fun to play
Lee Sin is a really fun and great champion to play, he's really strong in the earlygame and scales good towards the late game, he has a lot of playmaking potential aswell as outplay potential
- High skill cap
- Needs a lot of practice
- Bad playing from behind
- Needs to snowball to dominate
Lee Sin needs a lot of practice before you get good with him, hes one of the hardest champions in the game to master. If you still want to play him, make sure to practice a lot and learn all the small things about him, as he is really mechanical.
You dominate almost every 1v1 and have a great powerspike at lvl 3.
A good early path is Red - Golems - Blue - Gromp giving you a early lvl 3, and then you can look for a gank or take 1 more camp into scuttle.
Another would be Red - do full clear on your blue side, and then look for a gank/scuttle/invade.
Taking golems early is really important, as its the best camp on gold + xp
So in the Early game you should try to snowball your lanes as much as possible, or snowball yourself.
Go for a lvl 3 clear ( like the one i have shown ) and try to get a gank going! Lee sin has a lot of mobility over walls, so you should try to use that to your advantage. Ward jump over walls to avoid wards, Use q to drake and run away so you avoid wards in the bushes on botlane/midlane - this is also really good for invading enemy jungle.
When you get to the midgame / lategame you have different options on how to play. If you are really ahead and fed you should probably look for teamfights or picks and try to nuke targets, you could also play around your sidelaner(s) and get picks with them.
Pro players have 2 ways of playing Lee Sin in the mid/late game. Either you are a playmaker or you kite for your carries. In most cases they kite for their carries as it's not really easy to do insane Insec plays on other pro players, as they know how to respect it and position themself aswell as outplaying the Lee Sin. So in any case you can always play for your carries, which means you will nuke down any guy that tries to get your carry, or kick him away with your Dragon's Rage
When you are in a hard matchup you need to respect them and your pathing needs to be good, cus' if you fall behind against these guys, you will have a hard time finding anything to do in your game.
If they have a heavy farming champion like Nocturne try to get early gangs of knowing he will most likely not be there for a counter gang, so if you can get your laners ahead before hes 6, that would be really good! If you are against a heavy ganger, try to track him and counter gang, if you get ahead early you might go from a hard matchup into a matchup you can actually win!
These matchups means that it can go both ways and is all about how the early game goes!
You will most likely win these matchups, make sure to invade and use your lead by using pressure against them!
ECLIPSE is a Core JNG item, must go for this, could go for the 1 with blue smite, but red smite is in general better, as you fight 1v1 a lot
PLATED STEELCAPS is great if enemy team is AD heavy
Mercury's Treads is great if enemy team is CC or AP heavy
The Black Cleaver
The Black Cleaver is a really good item for Lee Sin as it gives AD, CDR and Health which is 3 things he really needs. Pick this up if enemy team has a lot of tanks or if u arent really snowballing hard
Guardian Angel is great, pick this up everygame
Youmuu's Ghostblade is great if you are snowballing early and enemy team is mostly squishy champions
Sterak's Gage is perfect if you want to become a bit more tanky aswell as getting more dmg, get this in the mid/late game
Duskblade of Draktharr
Duskblade of Draktharr is good with the Youmuu's Ghostblade build, as you nuke down squishy targets really easy
Randuin's Omen is great if you want to get a bit more tanky stats and if enemy team is AD heavy.
Maw of Malmortius
If the enemy team is AP heavy Maw of Malmortius is a perfect fit for you!
If you want to deal a bit more dmg, pick this up instead of Titanic Hydra
You can also pick up Titanic Hydra if you want to be a bit more tanky instead of buying Ravenous Hydra
Sonic Wave(Q): Lee Sin projects a discordant wave of sound to locate his enemies, dealing physical damage to the first enemy it encounters. If Sonic Wave hits, Lee Sin can cast Resonating Strike for the next 3 seconds.
Resonating Strike: Lee Sin dashes to the enemy hit by Sonic Wave, dealing physical damage based on the target's missing Health.
Safeguard (W): Safeguard: Lee Sin rushes towards a target ally, shielding them both from damage. If a shield is broken, half the energy cost is returned. After using Safeguard, Lee Sin can cast Iron Will for the next 3 seconds.
Iron Will: Lee Sin's intense training allows him to thrive in battle. For 5 seconds, Lee Sin gains lifesteal, spell vamp, and armor..
Tempest(E): Tempest: Lee Sin smashes the ground sending out a shockwave that deals magic damage and reveals enemy units hit. If Tempest hits an enemy, Lee Sin can cast cripple for the next 3 seconds.
Cripple: Lee Sin cripples nearby enemies revealed by Tempest, reducing their Movement and Attack Speed for 4 seconds. Movement and Attack Speed recover gradually over the duration.
Dragon's Rage(R): Lee Sin performs a powerful roundhouse kick launching his target back, dealing physical damage to the target and any enemies they collide with.
Dragon's Rage: One of the most popular spells in the game, known for the famous "Insex" phrase and more! Using Dragon's Rage you will knock the targeted enemy in your direction and knock up any enemies he collide with.
Sit down for 15 min and watch it through, trust me, you will learn a lot!
