High mobility
High mobility makes him perfect roamer and he can get around the map pretty easily.
High damage output
With this build and runes, you can win early game and dominate late game!
Huge shields and heals
Because he is full ap, his abilities scale with ap so much that in late game he can shield and heal someone for 500hp and more
Tanky
Because of his insane passive ap scaling, he has over 1000hp shield in late game.
So really important thing. What build listed here I should build? Here I have some guidelines:
For me this is a good recommendation and I use it a lot, but pick this build when enemy team is more tank/hp focused and you know you won't one-shot everyone.
I have some points to point out here.
- Your AAs actually do damage. This means you are able to farm more easily, split push really good and fight extended fights.
- You don't one shot everybody and that's a little downside. You play more tactically and not just run and pray you one shot.
Want to have fun and you're playing against more squishy comp? Play this and guaranteed one-shots.
This is an interesting one. This build has the most skill expression from all of the above and you'll find hard to play this. Really good understanding of the game is needed and it won't be easy to play as, but as you can see in this video, it actually works perfectly and I can recommend this one as well.

Want to have fun and you're playing against more squishy comp? Play this and guaranteed one-shots.
Rocket belt?
This is an interesting one. This build has the most skill expression from all of the above and you'll find hard to play this. Really good understanding of the game is needed and it won't be easy to play as, but as you can see in this video, it actually works perfectly and I can recommend this one as well.
Start to trade in lvl 1 and 2, proc electrocute and retreat. Sometimes you're able to kill someone who disrespects you with ignite. As you progress through laning phase with your R+Ignite+W combo you can burst almost every squishy champion.
Roam, pick fights, play with your jungler and if someone is mispositioned just kill him. Help your team or if you have teleport farm. Farm is important and you'll have to get used to farming with Rakan.
Play with your team, around objectives. Kill mispositioned enemies or just engage for your teams with huge R+W combos. You should be able to one-shot everyone!
Why not to pick this champion?
If you don't have a good understanding of the game, just don't play him mid. Start playing him support to get used to him and if you're a beginner I don't recommend playing him. There are a lot more consistent options to play with.
