The only thing he has for him top-lane is the constant farm he can get once he gets Chalice of Harmony. I'd say your correct about the mobility thing, though.

I don't really agree with top being Galio's best lane. I think that should be mid (also the lane which he is most commonly played). You would know he appears as a blatant counterpick against AP, especially high burst casters who need to get kills eg LeBlanc. Cuz it's a heck of a job trying to kill him when he builds up to his nose of MR.

Also, I don't think he has great matchups against bruisers. His poke is already fairly unreliable and can run him out of mana easily, and he doesn't have good sustained damage. His biggest counter would be someone like Xin Zhao who can jump on his face before level 6.

Well, I do have to agree that Galio isn't optimal outside of Top and Mid lane. I tried support Galio in ranked and secured two double kills for my AD only through the use of my ultimate. Other than that, supporting with him was really underwhelming. His late-game teamfighting capabilities were a bit better.

^ LOL frigging LOL.

Anyway, support Galio is barely viable. I listed him as unviable in my support guide because his poke is unreliable, he's mana hungry as hell, and Bulwark is pretty lackluster in a 2v2 lane - it should be used on himself to gain AP from his passive to increase his trading power. He has no hard CC and almost no CC outside of level 6, and last but not least he is useless without farm.

"Galio can do every role besides support and he has a lot of CC and support-oriented abilities."

Downvote incoming.

I like the guide anyways. I agree with sirell but you still can change around stuff.

Keep up the work!

Jungle - Soul Shroud is a bit of a throw-away item, imo. Better to replace with Abyssal Mask. No Athene's Unholy Grail? Seems logical to me.

Mid - I'd take a point in W before lvl 6 so that when you are prepared to initiate with your ult for that lvl 6 kill, you can tag yourself with W so you deal more damage/heal whilst getting attacked. Again, no Athene's Unholy Grail? Seems logical to build from your Chalice of Harmony.

Top - Seem alright, but again, no Athene's Unholy Grail? I'm not so sure about that Rod of Ages+ Banshee's Veil+ Rylai's Crystal Scepter combo, but it looks alright. I'd think of E as a utility. I'd max W second instead, for the extra resistance.

Support - I've tried support Galio before. Starting Philosopher's Stone actually holds him back. Better to build from a Meki Pendant straight into a Chalice of Harmony before taking Philosopher's Stone/ Heart of Gold. Soul Shroud isn't that good imo, take Frozen Heart or Abyssal Mask. Maxing E isn't a good idea. I'd stagger it by maxing Q and W instead. The resistance for your ADC is invaluable during trades. The Q deals lots of damage + slows the enemy down, so you don't have to worry about using E to chase. And Q can also be used to zone more.

Wall of text much? Certainly need more coding but is otherwise good.

Since when did Riot intend for Galio to be a jungler? He doesn't have the kit to jungle. He has good sustain but has terrible ganks before level 6.

He doesn't have terrible ganks... They're just skill dependent.
