Garens passive is very good in the start of the game and in middle of the game, try to avoid attacks from champions, because then Garen get hit, the passive will stop improve your regaining and you need to wait 10 seconds before it will start improve your regain again.

Decisive strike is a strong ability and can make good damage. Use it to get faster to a position.

Courage is not a important ability, Garen only need its passive.

Judgment is good to minion farming, and can also use as a defends, to make people that wait to attack you, until you are stop spinning. If you are hunted my a champion use it! Judgment doesn't slow your movement speed, and you can make damage to the enemy and slowing the enemy's movement speed.

Demacian justice, is good to execution a low health champion. (what I call a kill steal ability)

Do not listen to what players say, follow the build, players normally want you to buy "Warmong's Armor" in the start of the game, DON'T DO IT! You will destroy the build and make yourself weak. Tell your teammates to STFU and continue your build.

Don't be afraid to go in team fights if you had purchased "Runic Bulwark" are you very strong and almost immortal.
