Kha'Zix is a hard matchup, Master Yi wins in the early fights, but when Kha'Zix hits lvl 6, it's really really hard for Master Yi to fight Kha'Zix, because Kha'Zix can go into Stealth, and in that time, Master Yi can't autoattack.

Champion Build Guide

Introduction

Hello,
I am Zapdo, and I am currently a Master / Grandmaster Solo Master Yi player, I have been playing Master yi since Season 4, and I have been enjoying playing him since then, this is my First Guide on Mobafire, and for Master Yi, so I apologize already, if I am not that good at making Guides... :D
I still tried my best and I hope the Guide is understandable and useful.

Pros + Cons

Pros about Master Yi:
- Good late game
- Can carry games very good
- Cheap Champion ( 450 BE )
- Does a lot of damage if you are ahead
- Is very good for Lower elos
- Hard Snowballing Champion
- Can kill a lot of people, because of the Ulti Passive.

Cons about Master Yi:
- Hasn't got the best early and midgame
- Has a bad gank setup ( no CC / Slow )
- Hard to play in high elo
- Squishy
- A lot of counters available for Master Yi
- Abuseable due to his weak early Kit

Important Informations about Yi

So, there are some Mechanics you need to know as a Master Yi player, for example:
- You need to time the Q and W very good, for example you need to Q an important Skillshot, for example Leona R, so you don't get CC'd, and die instantly, but also you need to use the W for high Damage Spells ( for example Syndra R ), or Jhin fourth Shot.
- You need to know when you can go in, and when not, because if you go in Randomly, you mostly get bursted down very quickly, because you are Squishy as Master Yi.
- You need to play around your Resets, if you don't get Resets ( with Ulti Passive ), Yi is mostly useless, because once you used your Q and R, you can't go on a enemy anymore.

Early Game

In the early game, you mostly want to Relax and farm until you got Bloodrazor, because Bloodrazor is your first Powerspike, once you got Bloodrazor, you can do Drakes very fast, which you should do if you got Bot and or mid Prio.
But you can cheese early, and the cheese works like this:
You go to your Red buff,and after that you instantly move to the enemy Blue and try to kill the enemy Jungler, or take the Blue and the Gromp, but be carefull, that you don't get 2-3 manned. ( not always recommended. )

Mid Game

In the Mid game ( 15-20 Minutes ) you should have Bloodrazor + Guinsoos + Boots if you are fine in the game.
If you got that, try to get the Herald, because Yi has a good damage with Guinsoos + Bloodrazor for the Herald.
If you are in midgame, you mostly want to get Objectives ( Towers, Drakes, Herald ), and get fed through that, but don't forget to Farm, Farming is still very important in Midgame.

Late Game

In the Late Game ( 25-30 Minutes ), you should have Bloodrazor, Guinsoos, Wits end, Boots, and half of the Steraks.
If you do go that, you often want to Split push, because Yi is very Strong on the Side lane, and only has some losing Side matchups, for example Tryndamere.
But be carefull, that you don't Split on Botlane, if your mates can't Stop Baron in a 4v5 Situation because the enemy can go to the Nash because you are Botlane.
Sometimes, Split pushing isn't the best, that is, if you got a stronger Team Comp than the enemys, if you got a Stronger Team Comp, you want to Group with your Team, get Side lanes Pushing and start Pressuring Baron, get catches or force a 5v5 Baron fight.
After you got Baron, you want to Siege with your Team, and keep Forcing if you win.
