Ashe is a high utility ADC which in turn has a bit lower damage than some other ADC choices. Hence, you want to play to her strengths, and those are her slow, vision on her E, and CC on her ultimate which covers the whole map. Yes, you will occasionally get fed and become an ultra carry, but don't rely on it. Focus on getting a good R to pick a fight or get a free kill. Do not waste your R! If you feel you will probably miss, hold on to it.

In lane, you want to abuse your range and W. Volley is your bread and butter. Do not farm with it if you can't poke at the same time. Use W for poke whenever you can. Do not waste mana. Ashe is not Draven and won't win level 1 and 2 trades most of the time, so focus on farming early on and wait for opportunities created by your opponents mistakes, your jungler gank, or your support's engage. Ashe is not a mobile champion, so going in without winning the trade usually means you are dead.

Your primary focus to play good with Ashe should be:

- Farm, farm, farm!
- Map awareness - where are your opponents? Where is enemy jungler? Where is assassin mid?
- Proper positioning in trades - for Ashe there is no second chance. She goes to close, she dies.
- Picking the correct moment to engage with R
- Understanding your damage output limitation, and knowing when you will not win 1v1

Sometimes you will have a bad lane. And that's fine. Ashe can remain useful for her team with her E and R even when her damage is low. When behind, try to find SAFE farm situations and speed up yourself on getting items.
