BAN. GET IT OUT. BAN. LEONA. EVERY. GAME. Point and click CC, it's dumb. Leona does more damage than an ADC for most of the early game, she can and she will 1v1 you whenever she damn well pleases and all you can do is watch her beat you down until you get PTSD from being bullied in school. BAN IT.
Alistar
I would put this in tiny, but if you miss the condemn (E) When he goes for W Q combo, it can turn out bad. But after his W Q is down, it's free real estate (But remember bot lane is 2v2, don't try to hero mode 1v2 an enemy bot lane with a CC support unless you can 100% avoid the cc.)
Ashe
I personally rate Ashe as a decent ADC, I think she's pretty well balanced. The perma slows are strong later in the game, but if you dodge her arrow (R) you shouldn't have an issue killing her for the most part.
Aphelios
This dude can whack you. It's a little bit more skill dependent, but he has a lot of options with his 5 million guns and passives, it's winnable for either ADC depending how the ADC and support plays together.
Blitzcrank
Shouldn't really be an issue at all, just Tumble (Q) his hook (Q) if you're not confident in sidestepping it. Once his hook is down, he has no pressure in lane, ping your support to bop him on the head until he sits on the naughty step back at base.
Bard
A good Bard player is a big threat, Bard is a very strong support bringing big damage and able to setup tower dives with his Magical wall thingy (E) and his AOE hourglass (R) Try to punish his ADC when he roams for the bread crumbs he goes to nibble at.
Brand
Honestly, not that bad. You can get poked out quite a bit early, but once you're 6 and have atleast Tier 2 boots + some stuff, just dodge his spells and run him down. Can still go very badly if you lose lane early though, survive, don't die early.
Braum
Not a massive threat, he's a good support but just don't let him touch you with his big man hands or his captain america shield and you're gucci.
Caitlyn
Not as bad as what some people think, honestly mostly depends on the support match ups here in my opinion. She can poke you a lot early if you try to claim the hooded goblins, but just relax, sit back and grin knowing when you hit 6 you're going to murder her. (Or ask someone to ban her if she really tilts you)
Corki
Report him for trolling.
Draven
I haven't played this match up at all in S11 yet, but I wouldn't expect much has changed, he hits you with one spinning axe and you lose lane, avoid this match up at all costs. If you get this match up DO NOT DIE. If you die to Draven early, your lane is done, you might aswell leave the game.
Ezreal
Not a scary dude, mostly a safe pick, can turn ugly if you eat his Q's 24/7 this lane for the most part should be a farm lane, if you get a lead it's not too difficult to run him down.
Janna
If the enemy ADC has a Janna, kill the Janna. Janna is a really strong support, but she is really squishy, try to get a kill on her early and snowball the lane. If you get outpressured/killed by this lane, you will not have a fun time.
Jhin
Easy, just dodge his stuff, farm, fight him, do whatever you want, if you can play Vayne you win this match up 9 out of 10 times. If you can't play Vayne, press buttons, you'll still win atleast 6 out of 10 times.
Jinx
Not a threat early game, turns into a major threat late game, she scales really well and will give you a bad day if you let the game go mega late. She will dominate team fights, try to shut her down early.
Kai'Sa
It's you, but better. No but really, Vayne and Kaisa are pretty similar, I would say it's mostly a skill match up, whoevers better at the game (Combining both ADC and support) will more than likely win the lane. She's hot though, so it's ok.
Kalista
I'll put even, never had this match up that I can remember of, I feel like this match up shouldn't be too hard, but paired with the right support, might be a real big *** problem for you.
Karma
Dodge her poke early, she does big damage very often and can give her ADC great utility with her root/shield/slow on Q, don't feed her and you'll be alryte.
Kog'Maw
If he has a lulu this could be super bad, seriously, don't die to them. Ask your jungler for a gank, play safe. If he doesn't have a lulu, it's free real estate. Just look out for his W, back off when he uses it, try to mess him up when it's on CD.
Lucian
I rate this dude as extreme, if he's played by someone with a brain, you will be molested off your creeps all day long, or die trying to get them. If he doesn't know how to play Lucian, you might be gucci, but still be careful. This dude poops out damage early.
Lulu
Nononono, polymorph is a gay ability I don't like it. Bad. Sacrifice everything if it means you can kill it, rat champion.
Lux
Dodge her Q, her E poke isn't too bad early unless you get hit by EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. So don't do that, not a big threat for the most part, she will die quickly once you get on top of her.
Malphite
If it's AP malphite you have two options.
Do you have flash?
No? - You die.
Yes? - You flash his ult and probably still die.
Miss Fortune
MF is really strong in lane, a good MF player will hit a few Q's on you bouncing from creeps, they deal a ton of damage, try to avoid them at all costs early, she can harass from far and if she has a CC support, you're more than likely not going to have a fun time at level 6.
Morgana
This matchup isn't really that bad, but it also is. If you get hit by her Q, you are dead. This champion is too strong, the hitbox doesn't even work properly 90% of the time.
Nami
Not too bad, she can poke you out pretty decently if you try to get too frisky, but just chill out, relax. If you have a cc support, don't worry about csing early, get XP, hit level 3, ALL IN HER. If you lose the all in, ohwell, atleast you asserted dominance.
Nautilus
His Q hitbox is janky, he might even throw it towards his fountain, and hit you at red buff. It's possible. Riot games. He can and will CC lock you into next year, if he has an ADC with him, you're probably going to die if you get hit by his Q. He should be standing next to you, as your support. Something went wrong if he's not.
Pantheon
Point and click CC, really fun and interactive gameplay, much skill.
Pyke
A good pyke will probably ruin your day. A bad pyke is free food.
Rakan
Can be kited around pretty well in combination with your E, just avoid his knock up and you should be aighte.
Rell
When did this champion come out? I'm still reading Aphelios' passive.. HAhA gOoD JoKE bRo!111!!!1
Samira
Don't feed her and honestly she's really not that bad, play around walls, when she jumps in to use her Katarina ability, just smack that garden tool into the wall and beat her up like the clown she is.
(If she gets fed, you are now the clown being beaten up fyi)
Senna
Really strong support/AD. She will poke you, all the time. When you try to fight her, she will press E and you won't be able to auto attack her, you'll chase her, you'll over extend, she will turn around and with her hooded gremlins, beat you to the ground. Really not a fun match up at all.
Seraphine
Don't know not played against it but I'm pretty sure she's able to be played mid with no issues so if she's playing as the enemy support, you're probably going to have some issues. It's a Disney character, they're all broken.
Shaco
Dudes really just an annoying clown, but get an Auto on him before he summons his brother and you can easily see which twin is real. If he gets fed he can be a problem, if you get fed, he can still be a problem. But shouldn't really be too hard.
Shen
Can cuck you with his R, W. Dodge his taunt, when he W's you can E people out of it to auto them. He's strong though.
Singed
Haha, he flips minion like burger
Sion
Don't walk up to unwarded brushes. If the enemy has Sion support, he is in every brush that isn't warded. Yes, all of them, and he's infinitely charging his Q, so you can never, ever walk up to the brushes. Then you win.
Sivir
Everyone laughs at Sivir, she's actually an incredibly strong ADC, she's just unplayed because she's boring. If she gets a lead on you, you will really struggle to come back into the game, she can instantly shove waves whenever she wants with Q W.
Sona
She's not really hard, just irritating sometimes. But she's mega squishy, just kill her early and you beat her up. Also, dodge her ult (or flash it.)
Soraka
Super annoying to play against, a good unicorn will give you a bad day, I have cried several times due to this lady, be careful. Her silence is gay, her healing is gay, and her Q is gay. She is gay.
Swain
A good swain does a million damage level 1, I don't know how this champion works, I tried playing it and I sucked balls. It has 1v2 dominated me a few times, I'm not sure if I inted it or if he turbo smurfed on me, but he felt strong. So. Don't feed him., You smash him late game though.
Tahm Kench
Honestly, just challenge yourself to see how quickly you can kill him each time he returns back to lane until he leaves the game.
Taric
Really strong support, his Ult can change an entire game around. Literally flip it upside down. You should be able to kite him around in lane though, try to make him tilt from lane phase.
Teemo
The devil. He presses Q, you insta lose trade. Shrooms will also do 80% of your HP late game.
Thresh
Mostly skill based, if he throws a Q mid lane phase, he loses a lot of pressure, use that to your advantage. His Q travels slow enough for you to react instead of predict, relax and play slowly, you can react to his hook in time if you are relaxed. If he keeps hitting hooks, the enemy lane will likely snowball and crush the entire game.
Tristana
Super strong early game with HoB or even PTA, level 3 she just puts a bomb in your brain, belly flops onto your head and starts throwing metal balls into your face until you die. Really try to avoid that happening, it's not great.
Twitch
?? Haha, just laugh at him while you farm and then kill him at 3. If your support is bad, he has a decent chance to get some kills early, then things can turn bad, but just blame the jungler or something, most of the time this is a free lane. If it was 1v1 lane, you win everytime.
Varus
Early game he isn't much of a threat, you can dodge his poke and he uses a decent amount of mana trying to poke. If you have a CC support, you can kill him pre 6 pretty easily, once he hits 6, it can be hard to dodge his ult, predict flash it and run him down. If he has a team playing around him, it can be pretty bad.
Vayne
Better Vayne wins.
Veigar
His wall is gay, his damage is also gay, and I don't like him. But he is beatable, only becomes hard if he gets free passive stacks 24/7 or gets fed, late game he's a monster, so let's try to make sure he doesn't get there.
Vel'Koz
Skill based, a good velkoz can make your day very bad and sad. A bad velkoz will just slam his face into his keyboard and you'll run him down.
Xayah
Pretty strong, though I don't tend to struggle with this match up at all, in the early fight level 3, you can just flash E out of her feather pull (E) where most of her damage comes from. Predict it, she will either pull them in at 3 feathers out or 4. (Only applies to the level 3 fight, and possibly up to level 5/6)
Xerath
If he's scripting you probably just lose. If he's not, he has to be good with skillshots, otherwise he just loses. Turn them happy feet on, get farming, get your items, and kill him.
Yuumi
If she jumps out, you can (E) her to stop her jumping back in for a little, early game she isn't that big of a threat really, you can really abuse the enemy lane up until 6, when yuumi gets ult. If you haven't gotten a lead by then, you did something wrong, should have bullied them harder. If they get a lead, it can turn real ugly real quick.
Zilean
This dooooood. You use everything trying to kill someone, he slides into your dms out of the fog of war and presses R on your victim, while slowing you by 99% so his team can nibble on your corpse as you try to waddle away in fear. If he doesn't have R, kill him. It feels good.
Zyra
A good Zyra will poke the everloving **** out of you and there isn't a lot you can do about it at all. You'll probably spend most of the game hiding under your tower unless you have a good support. She can also one bang you late game.
Alistar
Alistar is decent for you, he can easily get fights started (Which is what we intend to do with this HoB setup.) and tank like a truck. It really depends on how well they play though.
Bard
Bard is an all around strong support, for the same reasons I listed in why he's a bad match up for you. He's just good ok. It really depends on how well they play though.
Brand
Brand is decent, he can provide a lot of pressure in the lane with his spell spamming to give you room to farm if he's good he might even net you a few kills because his damage is bigboi damage. It really depends on how well they play though.
Braum
I would put ideal, but It's not always easy for him to get a fight started. He's strong for the fact he can jump infront of you with his big wall and protect your fragile *** from a lot of damage. He also sets you up with a lot of stuns and slows, while actually doing some decent damage for a melee support. It really depends on how well they play though.
Karma
I personally don't enjoy having enchant/mage type supports much at all, but she can be good. She has decent zone control with her Q's and RQ's, she can also get you in and out of fights quickly with her E shield. Her root takes a little while to go off, but can net you some kills, there are more ideal options out there though. It really depends on how well they play though.
Leona
Leona can 1v1 enemy adc, you just 1v1 the support easy game easy life.
It doesn't depend on how well they play, Leona is turbo broken. If they hit E they win. If they miss Q, just leave the game don't even type anything in chat, just leave.
Nami
I don't like enchant/mage type supports much, but I have to admit Nami is a really good help to Vayne lane. She brings a lot of CC with her Q bubble and R wave, especially if she catches that bubble or wave when they're near a wall, you can chance cc with your condemn. She also brings decent heals, damage amplification for trades with her E (That also slow on hit when you auto) and movement speed whenever you get hit by her abilities. (That includes her Q, R) It really depends on how well they play though.
Morgana
Morgana is really strong for the fact that she can dump her blackshield on you when you want to go in. Having an anti cc shield is really sweet when playing ADC, you can go full YEET and not worry about cc for a little bit. Also her Q CC is nuts and she does decent in teamfights with her AOE. It really depends on how well they play though.
Lulu
Lulu is strong with most onhit adc's obviously, giving them her passive pix, and attack speed+ movement speed to run people down while also being able to give you more max HP and making you larger (Increases your attack range slightly in technical terms because you're bigger, I can't explain it well, but it does.) It really depends on how well they play though.
Nautilus
Yaaaas. My personal favourite synergy. Naut is a really strong lane bully, he doesn't need to do anything besides stand there looking all scary like. If he holds his Q while walking around like he's looking for a hook, the enemy lane will play more cautiously. If he YEETS himself in, get behind that big metal boi and start pew pew pew your little crossbow until they die. It really depends on how well they play though.
Thresh
Yaaaaaaas. A good Thresh player will get you wet. Like a bucket of rain wet, obviously. Watch for his lanterns, they can change the tide of a fight. Same Q thingies with naut, good pressure, if he hits and goes YEET, get behind him and start doing your thing. It really depends on how well they play though.
Veigar
I don't like mages much but, he can be useful. The threat of his AOE cage will relax most aggressive laners from poking you too much, and he brings big damage to the table at 6, but he will likely steal a lot of kills so.. sadge. But atleast you win right. It really depends on how well they play though.
Vel'Koz
If he can hit skillshots, just farm while he 1v2's the entire lane phase, you literally don't need to do anything if he can play Vel'Koz well. But again, It really does depend on how well they play, a bad velkoz is equal to having no support at all.
Zyra
The one mage I will happily play alongside. Zyra is a great zonecontrol mage, she will make farming a breeze for you while dishing out big chunks of damage, you can also 2v3 with this support very easily after 6, if she holds her E. It really depends on how well they play though.

Hello there friendo. This is my first guide so take it with a pinch of salt, I'm not entirely sure how to make them look all fancy and such. But hopefully you leave understanding more about Vayne, how to play her and optimise your builds and runes for what it is you desire to achieve.
My name is Skittle, I am 26 years old at the time of writing this guide. I have several ingame names, Skittle is not one of them someone yoinked it, the account you will see down below was mine but is now banned, I will not go into details as to why or whining that I didn't deserve it, so we'll leave it at that. Don't be toxic folks. The account I'm currently using will be shown, but the name will be hidden.
I have played League since season 3, started at the end of season 2 but didn't begin ranked until season 3. I enjoy playing all roles and a big pool of champions, I don't play the game intent on getting a really high rank, I just aim to be atleast average or better on the champions I play. I was hardstuck gold for quite some time, but now I'm able to climb to Plat by playing ADC, Jungle and Top. I may one day push for Diamond, but as of now, I'm happy with where I've gotten and have a good understanding of how to play 90% of the champions in the game.
I am currently sat in Plat 2, where I ended this season on 2 accounts. I have played quite a bit of Vayne now totaling around 250-300k Mastery points on my accounts combined so I feel as though I can provide a good guide to people looking to begin playing her, or just getting better.
TL;DR: Played since season 2, play all roles, most champions. Was hardstuck Gold, now hitting plat reliably, play on multiple accounts, decent amount of Vayne games. I was toxic, don't be toxic.
(Oh, did I forget to mention? You can Galeforce>E people into terrain for the stun C:<)
The build, why and when.
So as you've probably already though about it, yes, this build doesn't look optimal for Vayne. It's not the usual, correct. But actually it is optimal for Vayne in many ways, however this build does have a specific usage, I have included an extra rune page and build in this guide for any other situation that will also perform very well.
This is my go to build and runes for S11 whenever I face a team that has one tank or less, with a good support you can really dominate the early to mid game using this build, I've explained quite a bit about the items in the overhead build display, so I won't go into detail on each item and why down here.
I will touch on Galeforce though, It's really not being used as much as it should be. Hello, it has a built in dash that deals damage? It gives you % movement speed everytime you buy an item?? For ADC's??? It is very good, trust me. Don't get sparkles in your eyes looking at Kraken or Shieldbow, Galeforce trumps both in most occasions for me personally.
